  • The Mayans didn't even have a 7 day week (no Sabbath) they didn't even have a week, just 13 and 20 day month. Where are all the Elephant, Horse and cattle remains? Why do Olmec Statues look more from Southern Africa than Middle eastern people?Where is all the reformed egyptian and hebrew writings? Where are the cities that were supposed to be inhabitated for 1000 years? Where are the Caucasian people remains? nothing just speculation and story telling. No one does there own research.

  • @conozco4721 There weren't any "caucasians."

We aren't telling stories. We are telling the truth.

  • I'm from latinoamerica and I found the Book of Mormon very impressive and match perfectly with my ancestors teachings.

  • WHAT?.. Evidence of what?...Joseph Smith was a lying con man whats wrong with you people?I think the thing that amazes me the most about mormons is how in this day and age people are so easly influenced about things we know aren't true for a FACT..If mormonism doesn't say brainwashed..cult i dont know what does....Remember the church is always right...lol

  • Grown men actually discussing this nonsense seriously. Have they never studied history or archaeology? To think native Americans were ancient Semitic peoples is downright INSANE. Forget silly, dumb, or imaginative, try insane. No evidence to back it up whatsoever, and plenty to disprove it. Native Americans even resemble Northeast Asian peoples of Asia, with some added redness to the skin because of the climate change effect over thousands of years living so close to the equator.

  • @minhali It's not nonsense. You are in denial. These men are scholars, and world class ones at that. You need to open your eyes.

  • @EvangelicalsRLiars These men are totally ignoring historical research, archaeological data and plain common sense. If you accept them over all the facts and evidence, then there is no discussing with your ilk. The stories fabricated by John Smith are not even as interesting a read as Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" saga. There is more truth in Homer than in Joseph Smith.

  • @minhali No they aren't. They are using the archaeological FACTS. Dr. John Clark even spoke to Congress in 2008 showing all the FACTS relating central america to the book of Mormon.

    You are clueless.

Jospeh SMith was absolutely the epitome of honor and truth.

  • @EvangelicalsRLiars Clark, like the others, twists facts to fit his agenda. The trouble with uneducated people is that they are too ignorant to know that they are wrong.

  • The book tells specifically that no one wlse was in this new land!

  • @1gorjusb Actually no it doesn't. The book isn't very clear, and it is confusing, but they were not alone.

  • God knows and loves us all. We are, every one of us, his daughters and his sons, and whatever lifes lessons may have brought us, the promise is still true: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of god, that Giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James 1:5

    -Howard W. Hunter 1988

  • "We solemnly affirm that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in fact a restoration of the Church established by the Son of God...; that it carries His sacred name, even the name of Jesus Christ; that it is built upon a foundation of apostles and prophets, He being the chief cornerstone; that its priesthood ... was restored under the hands of those who held it anciently...."

  • @LDS4Life71 OMG, still sticking to the script, thats funny cuz years ago I prayed to ask God if the mormon church was true, God told me RUN from lds as fast as I can, and I did!!

  • @desertdoggz You're an idiot.

  • @LDS4Life71 You hypocrite!!!! so only your testimony is valid? No logic at all let alone sound theology. Your "testimony" is like

    "The statment below is true"

    "The statement above is false"

Basic logic class that describes the cults...

  • @Gideon6640man I'm not the hypocrite here. YOU ARE. My testimony IS VALID and SOUND AND LOGICAL. YOU GOT NOTHING.

    BMAF.org

    for the truth

    81 evidences and counting.

  • @LDS4Life71 LOL so if your church is based on the Apostles and Prophets why is

Prophet first then Apostles? you ahve the order in reverse. The Biblical prophets did not give false prophecies like Joe and Brigham did....so do you believe that people fressed like Quakers live on the Moon and on the Sun? hmmmmmmm

  • @Gideon6640man Again you are cluless, and a hypocrite. Joseph Smith was ordained with the apostolic authority and it was ancient apostles Peter, James and John who laid their hands on Oliver Cowdery and Joseph Smith and it is found in the History of the church. The foundation of apostles and prophets has been restored and it is biblical.

    Acts 3:19-21, Revelation 14:6-7, Eph. 3:11-14, Eph 2:19-21

The Church of christ is restored, and it is biblical, hypocrite.

  • Keep the discussion going, brethren. All 81 pieces of so-called "evidence" are nothing more than intellectual sleight of hand, a continuation of Joe Smith's occultish deception. A critical thinker of kindergarten level sees through it. I am glad to see Romney parading Mormonism around the country. It's time they're exposed. I am anxious to see him squirm when he faces Obama and explains to a black Pres. why his church cannonized RACISM in Jesus name?

  • @AgnosticTao How bout you just shut up, liar. Anti mormons got nothing.

Joseph smith was a true prophet of God.

  • @LDS4Life71 Sorry to open Pandora's Box and let your secrets out. We really need a full-disclosure law for your missionaries. They should not be allowed to lure folks in w/half-truths. They should divulge the doctrinal racism in the BofM and BofAbraham up front. And it would be nice to know before signing on for baptism about that little peep stone in the hat translation thing, don't you think? Why do you think people are leaving your fold in herds? Be honest, I am!

  • @AgnosticTao They don't have any of that. Try again. Oh "honest" one.

    ROFL!

  • Wow, again no evidence, not even any claims just mormons editing a video to make you THINK they're talking about an actual place with historical proof or evidence. Another deceptive.....FAIL!

  • @desertdoggz On the contrary, you FAIL, as you see this stuff was all unknown to Joseph Smith when the BoM was published, but yet he correctly identifies it. Not to mention the geography of the arabian peninsula to a T, but he's never been there either nor can he make out such detail from any map.

  • @LDS4Life71 Smithsonian Institute after studying book of moron claims, put out a statement saying that BOM had no historical or archeological evidence and was a cpmplete fairy tale! As if i needed to tell you that, anyone with half a brain can study this subject! Why do you think so many "intelligent" mormons, professors, have left the church? because they know they've been sold a lie all these years. The hill Cumorah where THOUSANDS died......where is your evidence??? FAIL AGAIN!!

  • @desertdoggz Dr John E Sorenson slams the Smithsonian institute and it's simplton statement it made, and completely discloses the plethora of reasons why.

    Try again!

    ROFL

  • @LDS4Life71 LDS people are BRAINWASHED! They can't THINK objectively outside of there tidy little church dogma. It's so sad! Tell me all about the Hill Cumorah, & it's history rofl!

  • @desertdoggz We're not brainwashed. You're deluded, and an idiot.

Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and the Hill is in central america.

    do your own research, dimwit.

    bmaf.org

  • @LDS4Life71 Hey bozo the clown, I've already studied it. Is that what false prophet tells you? Where are the weapons made of steel, breastplates, bones, artifacts, ANYTHING of this battle of over 2 millions warriors dead? Huh? Yea, thats what I thought, who's the real idiot? for believing such a fairy tale! Why are mormons so DUMB, they will believe anything their church heirarchy tells them. Mormons are like a teenager at 17 who thinks he's smarter than his parents! Blind Idiots!

  • @desertdoggz You are all of those things.

The LDS church is real and true and God is the it's head.

    YOU got nothing.

  • @LDS4Life71 Which God? There are so many in your pagan cult of lies! I'm looking thru my new telescope........and I can almost see planet Kolob where your ancestors came from. Oh, look, there's the moon and I see the people that live on the moon that Joseph Smith described.....he said they look like quakers........oh yes I see them.....Oh my, I guess the church is true! hahahahahaha! You people are funny! Bless you though, you poor thing!

  • @desertdoggz The ONE and true God of the Bible.

    Your Evangelical faith is FALSE

  • @LDS4Life71 Too bad your so brainwashed you can think for yourself. You think anyone that doesn't believe you lds claims aredismissed as being anti-mormon, how convenient for you. Your plagurised book of moron doesn't even teach most of mormon theology, doctrines & covenants is where your mormon false teachings are from. BOM is historicaly, archeologicaly, socialogicaly inaccurate. Bible lands & peoples exist, BOM is imaginary people & imaginary cities, FACT! Wake up dummy!

  • @desertdoggz Please just shut your pie hole, liar.

You got nothing, but hate. You are a prime example of what a Christian is NOT.

See you in the telestial kingdom, kid.

    BMaf.org

for the truth (81 evidences and counting)

  • @LDS4Life71 Ah yes, the ol' double Hill Cumorah story. Why can't your church make up its mind? New York or Ctr. America? Like the 1st Vision nonsense; was it an angel who appeared? Jesus? Father? Depends on which version you quote. The desertdog knows your church history better than you do. Listen to his testimony and believe. Wake up! Get yourself free! Calling us all stupid only proves the spirit has left you and that you've lost your Aloha! Been entertaining arguing w/you though.

  • @AgnosticTao It doesn't have to. The one in NEW YORK wasn't named by Smith so it really isn't the real one where the battle took place, but was mistaken as such for many years I admit. The real Cumorah is in South Mexico along the North coast of the Isthmus of Darien.

  • 1,2, 3! 3 trolls! HAHAHAHAHA!

Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and the book of Mormon is 100% true authentic part of ancient meso american history despite the trolls here.

  • @LDS4Life71 Yea right that's not what "science" tells us. Honestly has any of your prophets actually given us a true prophecy? no! they haven't not one of your predictions is valid there is a reason why your church is in a decline because people know the facts about your history. I will make a vaild prediction that your faith will fade in the future because of information and technology. People will evolve and not be convinced by myth anymore.

  • @wachnathan Of course they have. The book of Mormon is 100% authentic part of ancient meso american history.

    BMAF.org

    for the truth

  • 81 pieces of "evidence" that is not concrete not eveidence based on fact. It's all smoke and mirrors. Give me the name of ONE legit, that is non-LDS scholar, archeologist, anthropologist that give any validity to the BOM as a historical record. There is an old saying, "When you don't have facts, dazzle them with bull****. And that is waht you have .You give your brain over to jokers in FARMS, FAIRLDS etc because it's "faith promoting" and that is all. They even have "BOM Tours" what a rip off.

  • @Gideon6640man It's not smoke and mirrors. you are in denial. 81 evidences and counting. The BoM tours are valid, and correct. Just because you are a chicken, and won't do em.

  • @LDS4Life71 Denial? me? um I am not the one that has to resort to outlandish claims that cannot be supported by tried and true methods. Archeology never lies kid, a battle on the hill Cumorah in New York that supposedly has thousands of dead would have left some trace, arrowheads, bones etc.something...ok asnser me this, where can I go and see Nephite or Lamanite artifacts? where?

  • @Gideon6640man I don't have to give you an example of anything. You are just an idiot.

    BMAF.org

    all the evidences!

  • @LDS4Life71 And thus is the 81 pieces of "evidence" we get is just rants. I fell bad for you struggling with a bogus book and even more bogus defence of it.

  • @Gideon6640man Yeah we do just get rants. Rants from a mental lunatic like you ranting that the book is bogus, but you don't have a clue.

Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and the BoM is 100% authentic part of ancient meso america.

    bmaf.org

  • @LDS4Life71 Actualy that is all false. Kid I realy feel bad for you. You would think that the Jonestown Mass Suicide would have taught you cultist a lesson but it's the same thing over and over. That is why bigoted fanatical religionst like you can say the things they say.Your testimony is delcarationism and declarationism is the desparate last act of a fanatic. Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao all depended and blinded drones as well..sad in deed.

  • @Gideon6640man Stop calling me a kid, shit-for-brains. You are about as retarded as they came. I know the book of Mormon is true, and I'm endowed with God's priesthood so why don' you stop playing games. Your FALSE evangelical cult of lies is still FALSE.

  • @Gideon6640man

Even the official church publication (Ensign) notes the following in considering whether the NHM altar could be evidence, they say, IF it is."...This is the first archaeological find that supports a Book of Mormon place-name other than Jerusalem or the Red Sea…."

All the garbage FAIR is promoting isn't even recognized by their own church.

    BWAHAHAHAHA

  • YOu are as stupid as anyone can get.....Go fuck yourself and fuck your BOM...

  • @KyaniDave Can U?

  • So it seems that when a direct question is asked that does not conform to the party line you get your head bit off?. So then it shifts to a "testimony" based on a feeling. It's a form of declarationism and that is the last bastion of the unreasonable fanatic. So where does some go to get some kind of rational explanation for the claims made in this video? Are there any artifacts found of the Nephites and Lamanites that have been catalouged? Why the hostility when you ask an LDS for proof?

  • @Gideon6640man Because we have tried to talk to you plainly, and all we got in the past were your claws coming out. The scholars of FAIR have shown 81 evidences showing where the lands of the Book of Mormon took place.

I really recommend you buy Dr. Joseph's video "Lehi's Land of First Inheritance-Exploring the Book of Mormon."

    BMAF.org

    is His site also.

  • @LDS4Life71 "We"? 81? realy? now is the OFFICAL LDS from the First Presidency ? I ask because time and time again when every fallcy that your apologist bring out that has been refuted or even your prophets make we get the,"well it's not official" So any 81 have a shread of TANGIBLE evidence and not "faith promoting" bunk.If Why don't they present this information to academia, the Smithsonian just like any significant discovery is made? "good candidate, perhaps, might be" are not solid.

  • @LDS4Life71 Until we get something beyond "good candidate, perhaps, seem to suggest, one might say" all you have ZERO. Besides the Hill Cumorah, what other site has the LDS church OFFICIALY say is true? Who cares what FARMS or FAIRLDS or any BYU professor has to say since they are not speaking for the church. I lived in Jerusalem for a year so I know it's there. I mean you got a prophet, seer and revelator and he and his council can't tell us where a city is? just one Nephite artifact would be nice.

  • @Gideon6640man THE TWO CUMORAHS

    by Edwin M. Wooley

    there were 2!

  • @LDS4Life71 And is he an Apostle? does Thomas Monson agree with that? I don't want opinions that have no standing with General Authorities, it's a smoke screen and it diverts the real issue. You claim a prophet, revealator and seer.Very well. just like Moses led the children of Israel to the promise land why cant your prophets tell us and end the debate? The only site that is official in LDS church is The Hill Cumorah in upstate New York. Not two,not MesoAmerica.Smoke and mirrors up to this point.

  • @Gideon6640man No sorry, but there ARE two Cumorahs. The one in NEW YORK was NOT named by Smith, but by Cowdery. Get it? Joseph NEVER said it's the one from the final battle. I guess you don't.

The book of Mormon absolutely came from meso america, and you are just an idiot.

  • @Gideon6640man he gathering to Cumorah took approximately four years. It was there, in this Land of Cumorah, at the hill called Cumorah, that Mormon buried all the records except his own writings which he gave to his son Moroni.

It is those plates that were given to Moroni by Mormon that Joseph Smith translated into The Book of Mormon.

  • @LDS4Life71 Problem then my friend,Joseph Fielding Smith, your prophet said that the Hill cannot be in Central America.(Deseret News Feb 27, 1954 pp.2-) So I ask again, have your apologist have more authority that the "prophet"? if yes then why do you need a prophet since he needs to be corrected and if he is a prophet, why can't he tell us where the ruins are? If not the the point is mute.Either way you got a problem cause neither your apologist or prophet can place the BOM on earth.

  • @Gideon6640man J. Fielding Smith lacked information, and it's not like he prayed for the answer to it. Just because he made the claim doesn't mean he is corrrect.

  • Comment removed

  • @LDS4Life71 Oh so now YOUR prophet lacked information? why then you guys make a big deal about living prophets? So the apologist prayed about it? What prophecies have your prophets made since say Brigham Young that your eternal life would depended on it? what? You seem to have prophets that can't prophecy, they cant find BOM lands(revealators that cant reveal).Fooled by Mark Hoffman who sold your leaders forged documents(Seers who cant see).Sounds like excuse after excuse.Sad,

  • @Gideon6640man Not really. F. Smith assumed the entire continent was the book of Mormon when in fact it isn't, but only meso america, and the scholars have shown this clearly. You can't stop it. You are only showing us what a blundering ignoramus you are.

  • @LDS4Life71 So the scholars need to "assist" the prophet I see. Some prophet, he would have been stoned to death under Levitical Law. Even Meseoamerica cannot be it because their is ZERO proof that any culture there was even remotley Hebrew...Michael Coe who is the top expert on the Mayan culture and ALL his fellow scholars, real ones not the LDS type, say the same thing. Why wont your scholars submit a detailed paper to ahrcheological academia? because they would be laughed out of the building.

  • @Gideon6640man Why does Michael Coe dismiss the Hebrew and Arabic writings found on this side of the world?

If what you say is true, then I say he is truly not looking at the facts.

  • @Gideon6640man laughed nowhere. In fact. You are simply saying there are no evidences, and that simply isn't the case. 81 evidences and counting

  • @LDS4Life71 81? what proof do you have? No real scientist supports that crap give me a brake even your BYU knows there isn't any evidence there paid to shut up and make stuff up but the vast science community knows your a work of fiction its only mormons that support these "claims" your really promoting pure ignorance why don't accept that your book of mormon is fake at least live honestly. You guys get owned in a debate on this topic way keep going lol

  • @wachnathan Just shut up, troll.

  • @LDS4Life71 Troll? look your the ones spreading lies about a culture you know nothing about those people have nothing to do with your beliefs and Joesph isn't going to paint them with a false color like you are today, Your belief is just a "belief" it's not a proven fact it is actually been proven false.

  • @wachnathan I'm not the one lying here you are. Well probably because you think you know something, but you don't.

  • @LDS4Life71 You claim your the one true church but yet we've never seen proof of it only the opposite infact and yes i will tell everyone your full of lies. People shouldn't pay a church with out proof its true sorry.

  • @wachnathan You got nothing. The church of Jesus Christ is restored and it is true.

You are not born again, and your evangelical faith is false.

  • @LDS4Life71 Evidence first then claims, you don't get to just assert assert. Faith isn't logical or proof and no the church is a proven fraud we can and have proven it once again point to a prophecy that proves your prophets are real oracles? You can't infact we know there no smarter then u or I all they do is inform you with the same information we have heard over and over again. FYI we've been to the moon no qwakers there buddy lol

  • @LDS4Life71 You claim your book is true but it's such a oxymoron when you look at the evidence and its the easiest book to debunk out of all the holy books ever made. I am a real jew and no american native is my kin nor my culture and Jesus was a jew not a white anglo like you mormons make him out to be you racists, theism belongs to us jewish people not you mormons stay out of our culture your not one of us and you will never be ether.

  • @wachnathan I know it is true. You are the oxymoron when you realize the bible lacks the same evidence. There is more evidence today for the book of morrmon than the Old Testament. How bout that, Bucko?

You got nothing, and your evangelical cult of lies is FALSE

  • @LDS4Life71 Your making a claim of knowledge on something that is obviously bogus and debunked, the book you believe in is not logically coherent and nether are you if you really claim it to be true even though its full of error about america and its culture and life we have tested it we've been over it and Joesph has failed big time. One day you will know when mormonism crumbles over its own mistakes.

  • @wachnathan I'm not the one making the claim, nor is it false, bogus, nor debunked. The book of Mormon is 100% authentic part of ancient meso american history. You haven't tested anything so stop feigning you have. You haven't even read it. One day you'll see the truth that you're not born again, and you do not know the God of the bible.

  • @LDS4Life71 That's the very problem with me is that i do know the truth and i have studied the information, Its always more important to understand why you believe then to just believe it on faith. The best advice anyone can give a mormon is this don't ever take anything on faith or a feeling you have a right to be given proof. I just want you all to admit your church is far from being perfect then i will respect it.

  • @wachnathan No you don't know the truth, and you have allowed the apostates to do the thinking for you. I'm only a Mormon by nickname. I'm a latter day saint. Mormon is only a nick given by a bunch of Missourian rednecks. You decide. The imperfections of members is universal, but the word came from Jesus Christ.

  • @LDS4Life71About the universe no but about your religion yes i do know some truth, Do me a favor and just be honest look at your book of mormon and read about the culture of america and see if it matches up with what we actually find in terms of plants animals etc. you cannot come to me and say these match up because we know they don't. Joesph gotta it wrong, sorry but hes not a prophet he obviously took agriculture from the bible(middle east) and placed it in america this is proof he fabracated

  • @LDS4Llife71 This is a an official LDS statement?if so where and when was it put out? or is it just yours? I read official LDS statements that the prophets will never lead you astray. Are you seriously telling me that your prophets do not pray on something so important? So when they say homosexuality is wrong as Spencer W. Kimball says in "The Miracle Of Forgivness" pp 77-89 that it's a grevious as adultery.Nowhere does he say "I Prayed about it". should we listen to him?

  • @Gideon6640man You still do not get it. The members join because of the witness of the spirit that the book is true, and not by evidence. You are just in denial. Proof doesn't give testimony. The witness of the spirit does. We aren't the 3rd fastest religion to grow in the US for nothing.

  • Let me try this again and please if there is any LDS besides LDS4Life71 who is very rude, I would like to know what the official stance is on the Book of Mormon lands, any books that can be recommended for said archeology.

  • @Gideon6640man bmaf.org

    shows archaeology.

I'm rude, because i've had less that courteous conversations with you in the past, and my patience is wearing thin.

  • @LDS4Life71 DNA "use unsubstantiated theories"? a taste for the ironic lol yeah well go tell people who were let out of prison because DNA cleared them. Genetic drift? lol realy? Your BOM(2 Nephi 1:8,9, 1 Nephi 12:20,Heleman 11:20 & Mormon 1:7 and the DNA science blows that up. Gen Auth. "Hundreds of millions on the American Continent" Teachings of Spencer w.Kimball p 601; "This land was kept from ALL NATIONS" p.528. SO who is right again? your prophets or apologist with unfounded theories?

  • @Gideon6640man There were huge numbers of people there, but you make it sound like they all came from Lehi and and his party of 20. The truth is there were already people aplenty when they arrived. Your words about DNA are simply not viable and moot. You cannot find their DNA because it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Therefore your red herring DNA problem is only a stumbling block unto you. Why can't you listen to what the video is saying?

  • @LDS4Life71The video boloney, DNA is used everyday for both archeology and criminal investigations. In Israel they are using DNA to see who is a Jew of the different tribes especialy the Levites and Cohen for the Third Temple being planned. There are now over 500 priests in training. DNA is used to confirm the Ethiopian Jews who are decendants of Solomon via the Queen of Sheba."Genetic Drift" arguements are bogus especialy in the American Continent. No legit gentisist agrees with LDS apologist.

  • @Gideon6640man again. Your silly DNA strawman is not viable. You can't find it, because there were millions when Lehi arrived. You are the fool here. Not us.

  • @LDS4Life71 Not true RE: BOM 2 Nephi 1:8 & 9, Gospel Truths p528.land was kept form ALL nations so Lehi's decenants had a sparse land to fill and they did, Heleman 11:20,Mormon 1:7,"Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball "Hundreds of millions on these two American Continents" So Lehi had a much a gene pool that was very pure. Not strawman arguement but solid science DNA is good enough for the courts but you have this flat earth mentality. How do you function in every day life with your skewed thinking?

  • @Gideon6640man It appears so to you, but in fact. The whole populus did NOT come from the gene pool of Lehi. It just looks like it from the text. My thinking is not skewed.

  • @Gideon6640man But let's just turn this around. Your evangelical group of liars, like you, do not know the God of the bible, are not born again, and do not understand the resurrection of the dead to come. Your silly trinitarian views are absolutely false, and you belong to a 20th century cult.

  • @LDS4Life71 No lets deal with your churchs claim first...unless of coiurse you are unable to do so..you seem to be very upset hmmmLuke21:6 is what your feeling?. I am going to meet with LDS bishop this week and tell him what you wrote here and ask him maybe he is not afraid to deal with direct questions. Your opinions and your apologists seem to have the final say in your church is what you are saying so I wonder what his response will be.I'll keep you posted.

  • @Gideon6640man Good. I hope you'll learn some sense.

  • Ok im kinda confused here. Is the Book of Mormon suppose to be in the area of New York or Central America? Any books on Book of Mormon archeology any LDS can recommend? I am also trying to get an answer re: to the Bible prophecies about the Book of Mormon.

  • @Gideon6640man No it's not. The book of Mormon lands were central america, and Moroni fled his homeland to what is today NY to hide the plates under the direction of the LORD. IT's so clear you don't know about the content of the book.

  • @LDS4Life71 Whoa I just asked a question geez. Are you always this rude?

  • Thats total bullshit! Based on assumptions, guesses and fake reconstructions. Book of Mormon is fake. In 2012 we have overwhealming evidence.

  • @max10wonderboy You got nothing.

  • @LDS4Life71

WHAT YOU MEAN I GOT NOTHING. I GOT SCIENTIFIC, ARCHEOLOGICAL, ANTRHOPOLOGICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PROVES THAT BOOKS OF MORMON IS JUST A BIG SCAM. YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO GOT NOTHING. YOUR MIND IS FUCKED UP LIKE MOST OF THE MORMONS.

  • @max10wonderboy YOU GOT NOTHING!

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting, isn't it? How a few million pre-classic Mayans left behind abundant archeological evidence, cities, temples, roads, DNA, etc., yet Nephites/Lamanites who allegedly covered both continents (simultaneously) left ZERO physical evidence behind. Amazingly, they never crossed paths with the local Mayans. And yet when visiting Salt Lake City's Temple Square there were paintings of Jesus preaching to the people from the tops of Mayan temples! Go figure...

  • @AgnosticTao FAIR has shown 81 evidences that the book of Mormon came from ancient meso America. I just hope you will take a look at the 81 evidences because it is punching huge holes into your theory.

I know the book of Mormon is true and so can you.

  • @LDS4Life71 You sound sincere. Check out some facts in Grant Palmers book, "An Insiders View of Mormon Origins". He was an institute director for the church who came clean about church history. He documents BofM problems you seem unaware of. I would be curious how FAIR explains Joseph Sr.'s "Tree of Life" dream showing up as Lehi's dream in the Book of Mormon? Lucy Mack Smith said Joseph Jr. was about six yrs. old when his father first dreamed the same dream. Coincidence?

  • @AgnosticTao No it's not coincidence. It's from God. People dream.

Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God.

Grant Palmer doesn't know what he is talking bout

  • @LDS4Life71 Palmer does know his church history having taught it for some 25+yrs. Not trying to make you mad but you need to review the criticisms your church is facing before testiying to something that is demonstrably false. Even apoligist Daniel Peterson doesn't shy away from certain "facts," that Joseph had 33+ wives and translated BofM by means of staring at a peepstone in a top hat screwed on to his face. Can you imagine the missionaries letting that little cat out of the bag?

  • @AgnosticTao Palmer is an idiot. I know it for a fact as does Peterson the facts. The poligamy isn't an issue, because you don't know the God of the bible. God will be bringing back traditional marriage and plural marriage or you call Isaiah and God a liar. YOU want that?

  • @LDS4Life71 Sorry to upset you. You are right about polygamy; if you're a man it "isn't an issue." But Shame! Shame! Your leaders speak out publicly against it and privately seal multiple wives in the temple. You know this. And no, neither God nor Isaiah condoned polygamy. That is not calling them liars, but plainly someone is misleading the public. Look at the facts my friend at utlm.org.

  • @AgnosticTao that website doesn't have facts. They are assumptions and accusations and none of them are true.

    for the truth

  • As a Unitarian I'm cool with whatever anyone wants to believe as long as it's not making them a bad person. But when someone tries to bring out evidence of things they think happened that is totally false and at odds with all empirical data, then I'm going to talk some sense into them. Whether or not it's religiously motivated. You can believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster and I won't mind, but if you claim to have seen him through your telescope I'm going to want to take a lot for myself.

  • this isn't archeology, you can't take an imaginary history and shove it on a land and a people and a time in history where all the names of kings and people don't match

  • @BoricuaChiTown Actually they do match. There were civilizations already there when Nephi and the party landed.

  • How did the gold plates from which the BOM was translated, get from Central America to New York?

  • @ddc0d3r Moroni had several years time before he deposited the plates. He had ample time. He could have easily walked.

  • You. Have. To. Be. F*ing. Kidding. Me. Nephi sounds like a really nice guy. . .. .who there is no proof for. Why not study men of God that have a traceable life? In reality, a life. These people came from Israel, without bringing any of their culture, language, archeology, or DNA with them. .. . .? Seriously? C'mon. Drop the fear of man and love Jesus with all your heart.

  • By MY logic? Please, read the Bible, read how to determine if a prophet is truly from God. Have you ever studied the "prophesies" of Joseph Smith? If you did and you see what the Bible says about never being wrong, you have to be right 100%, he can not be from God. Jesus said to beware, many false prophets will come in my name. You have been taught by your church that he is a prophet and he knew the truth. True Christians do not follow a church. We follow Jesus, not, Mary, not Joseph Smith, etc.

  • @84rattnroll Mormons do follow Jesus and believe in all of his teachings. The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints, is the church of the Lord, and we follow the Lord, with a prophet as his church's earthly head.

  • Joseph Smith claimed that if you're a good Mormon you will become a god too. But the Bible says, "Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me. I, even I am the Lord; And there is no savior besides Me." Isaiah 43:10 and 11. There are no other gods and Jesus is God all in one sentence. Read your Bible! "And there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a SAVIOR, There is none except Me." Isaiah 45:21.

  • @84rattnroll He's talking about how he is the one god mankind can look to for salvation. By your logic, it seems we would go to heaven and then just stay in a state of peace and tranquillity. HOW BORING!

  • Joseph Smith made many prophesies did he not? In the Bible there is a test for prophets, "But the prophet who shall speak a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. And you may say in your heart "How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?" When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come true, that is the thing which the Lord has NOT spoken!

  • @84rattnroll There are no time limits on prophecies as I recall, Joseph Smih spoke not in the name of other gods, he spoke in the name of Jesus Christ and God the Father. The Holy Ghost has made it known unto me that the prophecies and revelations of Joseph Smith Jr and all succeeding ordained prophets, seers, and trevelators are prophets of God and receive his word and his revelation.

  • "But even though we, or an ANGEL FROM HEAVEN, should preach to you a gospel CONTRARY to that which we have preached to you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED, Galatians 1:8. Joseph Smith preached a different gospel than Jesus and the Apostles! "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD; NOT AS A RESULT OF WORKS, that no one should boast Ephesians 2:8 and 9.

  • re-telling a story in common english with music in he background is not evidence

  • How do Mormons explain the fact that not a single Pre-Columbian Caucasoid skeleton has been found in MesoAmerica? Likewise, all identifiable depictions of humans in the artwork of Pre-Columbian peoples is unarguably consistent with Mongoloid American Indians. The ONE possible exception is the infamous Kennewick Man, who is many thousands of years too old to be a Jaredite or Nephite.

  • @trilobright How do mormons explain anything? Except with more lies.

  • @BrotherMichael1000

I heard one Mormon, an old Quorum president, argue recently that Joseph Smith was the first to suggest that there were cities and empires in the ancient Americas, and that up until then the scholarly consensus was that they were all primitive nomads. Ya, except for the whole thing where Cortez and Pizarro et al encountered Tenochtitlan and Tawantinsuyu at their zeniths, and they and their men wrote extensively of the awe with which they perceived them...

  • @trilobright I have no doubt that it's more than probable that he read dime novels and probably plagiarized most of this crock. The funny thing about it to is that if you are actually translating a ancient text wouldn't you use the language you are familiar with like contemporary English spoken in your era. But nope Joseph Smith uses Kings english circa King James.

  • All I'm reading here (in the comments) is: ignorant kid who thinks he knows what he's talking about, rebuttal, ignorant kid refuses to back down, rebuttal, etc. Honestly, these YouTube arguments are just pointless whether you're defending the LDS faith or not. You call yourselves Christians? Stop picking out fights with each other?

  • A bunch of people spouting their opinions ...mere "claims" as though they are proven FACTS....who are these unknown people?...do they actually have ANY real qualifications ...or are they perhaps just doddery old mormons ?

  • The city of Nephi is in Utah, about 45 miles south of Provo, Not in Guatemala. Get your facts straight.

  • @r8rfanizme Hey now. Don't get mad. We are taught not to familiarize any Book Of Mormon landscape to that of any modern landscape. Why? Remember the disasters that happened? Sunken cities and buried cities and such? Well I doubt this continent is nearly the same as it was then.

  • @KyleTheMormon I have seen everything up to and including the Bimini Road, a naturally occurring structure found in other parts of the world, claimed to be of Nephite origin. At least I can read the Bible from cover to maps can the same be said about the Book of Mormon?

have these "Thoughtful insights from 32 top scholars" (from the video description) been peer reviewed by, I don't know, say, the Smithsonian or Nat Geo?

  • @r8rfanizme I don't understand what you are getting at. I don't think we are on the same page. hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • @KyleTheMormon I don't think you want to be on the same page, as I think the three questions I asked are pretty basic. If it is about the city of Nephi being in Utah, use Google maps

  • @r8rfanizme Oh wait! Bahaha! Didn't catch the mormon humor there. haha. Yes there is in fact a city called "Nephi" in Utah. hahaha

  • Mormon archaeology = oxymoron.

  • what a joke this must have been done by farms

  • Clovis point spears heads... Found progressively inland from Beringia to South America... Along with human remains... Genetics... Modern Native Americans more closely related to Siberians and Asians then modern Middle Easterners... Native American language not even closely related to Hebrew... I cannot do this...

  • @EthanNin0 It says in the Book of Mormon that the language had been curropted in several tribes. That would explain the infamiliar diffrences to Native American languages and Hebrew. The Book of Mormon is not a full account of ALL the Native American tribes, only some of them. But they have found tabelets here in the Americas that do infact have the ancient Hebrew language on them.

  • @KyleTheMormon Really? I'm sure if that were true, whoever discovered those native American tablets with Hebrew on them would win several consecutive Nobel prizes and change all of what we know about modern archeology, genetics, anthropology, history, everything.

That is of course, if there isn't some massive global conspiracy trying to keep the 'truth of Mormonism' down.. You know, by keeping those tablets hush hush.

You know what does account for all tribes? Not Mormonism.

  • @KyleTheMormon No really, every native American group, including the one I belong to, is COMPLETELY accounted for by archeology, anthropology, genetics, ESPECIALLY genetics, history, in the form of mountains of tangible evidence. But why would you even suspect an exception even if this wasn't the case?

No need to crowbar in a quirky upstart religion that in most instances contradicts everything about what is actually known about the world, native American tribes being part of it.

  • Happy feel good video with NO facts.

  • How is talking over a video and showing drawings evidence?

  • sooooooo.. where is the evidence of all these cities, countless people, steel weapons, etc.? all of the ancient cities shown in this video weren't made till waay after 600 B.C when the supposed people from Jerusalem settled there. those ruins were inhabited about 600-900 A.D... hmmmm..
