  • still watching this in 2012

  • Let's see the only Homer's I know of are this one, Homer Simpson of course, and a dog from a Richard Scarry book that drove his tractor into the pond.

  • This is a classic I love it! It brings back memories when I use to watch and sing a long songs like this as a kid.

  • look at Gladys friend

  • i clicked on this vid becuase of the name "Thats not Homer" and the first thing I see is a kid that looks like Bart Simpson....ZING!!!

  • i love this!! and i am not a little kid lmao

  • this a really well done. my 15 month old love it. thanks for posting

  • thas my favorite part ^_^

  • when i watch this i'm like PAT SAJAK. pat sajak= pat payjacks. this is what happens when he goes in Sesame Street!

  • this was one of my favorite videos back in the day

  • I remember that "furry bunny" from an Alphabet Chat episode where he said "Hop, hop, hop, turn!"

  • He must be very careless if he managed to lose an elephant!

  • Hey, I remember this one! It's great to see it again.

  • Jerry Nelson is doing the boy.

  • you can tell that the clerk is kevin clash, because he dances just like elmo :)

  • Who else did Kevin Clash play on Sesame Street?

  • Besides Elmo, Kevin played Hoots the Owl, Wolfgang the Seal, Kingston Livingston III, and Baby Natasha. Someone let me know if there is more.

  • Oh, and Benny the Rabbit

  • How recently was this episode last playing?

  • It was on this past week as part of the Elmo Wants a Pet Dinosaur episode (I think the episode as a whole is new for this season).

  • I remember this one from the late '90s! It's because of this song that I've always thought of that elephant puppet as "Homer", no matter what different roles they've used it for in the years since then.

  • Same here. I also think of this song every time I hear the name Homer (even when it's used in reference to Homer Simpson or the author of The Odessy). As a kid, I loved elephants, so this was one of my favourites.

  • Pat Playjack without the teeth! lol!!!

  • No, That is not Pat Playjacks.

  • He kind of looks like him though!

  • He is a Large Lavender Live Hand anything muppet. It has been used on: Count Von Count, Countess, Mumford, Biff (from Biff and Sully), Sonny Friendly, Pat Playjacks (from Squeal of Fortune), Mr. Essex (from Muppets Rhyme at School), Bushmen Bill (Radio DJ that played Be My D), The Chef (from Family Food), The Barber (from Long time, No see), And so on....
  • Oh, I forgot:

    Harvey Kneeslapper (The Prankster),

And Lord Chatterly (from The Alphabet Chat) are also Large Lavender Live Hands anything muppet.

  • Ummm...the only issue I have is that Sonny Friendly didn't have a pointy nose like this guy does...hehe!!!
