I've got the reissue. It's on sale for 18 bucks. The only differences is the fact that the blaster lacks a spring (which defeats the purpose of including the missile), the decal now says 15x instead of 14x.

The box advertises this as not being a functioning microscope...which is a blantant lie. It works perfectly and it still magnifies things 14x (I assume that's how much, due to the decal) like the original.

I got the re-issue yesterday and the Missle-Launcher doesn't hold the missle at all, do you have any suggestions to get it to stay?

Good review! Both Perceptors I have can have the microscope/cannon on either shoulder in bot mode.

Twincast007 made a show accurate perceptor head that will conect to the original g1 perceptor. you can just replace it with the original head.

@optimus1497 Yah I have seen those figures. I want to jump on board with these. I am not sure how I feel about Perceptor's mode in 2011. I mean Grapple yes I do like him. Thunderwing Yes Yes!!!. I am keeping my G1 Perceptor and just go with it. I think when I do reviews. I might do a contrast comparison between the 2. Either way great review

the rocket launcher on the reissue doesnt even have a spring in it, :( so i took apart a lighter and used the flint spring haha it shoots crazy hard. its only like $50 bucks in canada too

youre right. there arent any major differences to the reissue. the only difference is that the gun wont fire with the reissue, as against YOUR item that has a spring loading.

I don't have this toy but I believe the cannon can be on either shoulder. I've seen it right here on youtube. Or maybe there is some way to customise it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it can be put on either shoulder, however it feels like you need to force it for the other so I leave it on the right.

on mine it goes both ways. and also my rocket launcher also has the same thing as yours. i think it was never meant to fire out but just to hold it into place

Sorry that was the scene I was talking about but for some reason I thought it was after Prime's death until I looked it up just now. Oh and by the way that was PROWL'S face that lit up. Their faces look too similar.
