  • I also like sponges too : )

  • Thank you for your time

  • I really enjoyed this video. I actually stumbled upon you via your Tom Ford brush review. I am crazy crazy for brushes. I appreciate that you feature so many MAC brushes. I think that is one of the things MAC does the best are the brushes. My favorite is the 252 and the 226. I have one of the original 252 manufactured in Paris.

  • I have the mac 217 love it! love it ! love it!....lol...it is multi functional <3

  • i bought new brushes from elf professional brushes and some of the bristles fell out. What does that mean?what do i do?thanks:D

  • Illamasca ? illimasca ? What is the name of the second pencil brush ? Make up brushes confuse me but I live for them haha

  • I love my Mac 222

  • Comment removed

  • the elf pencil (professional "contour brush") hasn't lost it shape for me, I've had it for 2 months or so, use it every time I do my make up. OH! and i just happen to have a mac 239 in my brush kit, got it randomly from my aunt..I feel kinda special. lol ^_^

  • How do you rate the MAC brushes in the holiday gift sets? I've read the quality is not the same as the individual brushes. But I would like to know if the gift set brushes are a "good"enough quality for a novice? Especially compared to say, for example Sonja Kushuk (a chain store brand) brushes?

  • *still waiting for the link "Here" * .....

  • I LOVE THE INGLOT ANGELED BRUSH! haha its the best! =)

  • Is there an easy way to tell, or find out, if eyeliners are suitable for going inside the waterline? I have loads!

  • love the way u say mental...sweet:) :)

  • SIGMA BRUSHES ARE THE BEST!!!

  • have you ever tried crown brushes? just want an expert opinion because they will be on sale tomorrow on hautelook

  • hi i love your video! just wanna ask you what s the difference between the 217 222 and 226 from Mac?

  • love these comments; i do my own makeup and i just close my eyes and pick one not knowing what the heck i am going to do with it; i wing it. Thanks again,

  • wayne, have you tried the chanel makeup brushes?? ive got the set, and they are a dream. they are so incredibly soft, and work amazingly well. they are some of my favorites, and i have everything from chanel, mac, elf, stila, etc. brushes. id love to hear another opinion on them :) xo

  • i love your tshirt!

  • How do you feel about natural v. synthetic. I've always been a big fan of natural hair, which I picked up from my artsy sister. So far the only argument I've heard for synthetics is that they don't shed as often, which is frankly bs. Brushes do as brushes are and they shed. Do you prefer one or the other, and why?

  • This video going straight to the favorites! :-)

  • Have you ever tried bdellium tools?

  • GRACIAS your videos are the best thing at the end od the day =)

  • I so want the MAC 226.Yr choice of brushes is the same as mine & I do agree that having good quality make up brushes is an absolute must,

  • i need those raemorris brushes in my life

  • Brushes, brushes everywhere! Whatever happened to sponge aplicators?!

Seriously: does ANYONE still use them and if not, why, on earth, are they sold as part of eyeshadow sets or palettes?

(BTW any tips on using those that inhabit my make-up drawer?)

    Cheers ;

  • Wayne do you have a link to where we can buy brush guards in the US?

  • @kraftyking24 try ebay they have tons

  • @kraftyking24 you can get them from coastal scents (online)

  • @kraftyking24 Hi you can purchase brush guards online through Coastal Scents! There are more videos on them too! Have fun!

  • exactly what i needed to know!! :) i'm writing down a list of brushes i need/want to get ;) do you have a video on face brushes?

  • Thank you!! Great videos as always! Pls keep them going! Can u do one video on makeup for asian eyes pls

  • Thank you for including the new permanent 211 for a close-up look! Like! The Nars smudge brush is a beautifully made one. Check out the new Big, Fat, Firm Foundation brush by cocobeau on their website. Finnezze & camiloveskiwi, here on youtube, did nice detailed reviews on this brush. If you've seen the Louise Young LY34, what are you thoughts? Looking forward to seeing your new brush.

  • "here"? where?

  • Do you do make up for your gay partner?

  • Try Crown brushes - great brushes - really - and very well priced. crownbrush dot " us "

  • Forgot to mention below that I use pressed powder shadow as my eyeliner. Which brush is best for this?

  • I use powder shadow as my eyeliner. Is a push brush the best type of brush for this? Currently using a tapered sponge applicator.

  • The BEST pencil brush is the NARS number 14 brush, had it for almost 4 years & is still good as new. Check it out :)

  • Heh. You like it cause its firm. That's what she said. And yes I'm 12 :D

  • Hmm, it might be just me but as someone who's not a make up artist but kind of a make up geek but i really never got the whole brush thing...

i got a huge mac brush set for my last birthday and i tried almost all of them but after a while, i gave them to a friend of mine... eventhough the brushes worked nice, it's just simpler to use 3 to 4 versatile brushes and... your finger.

give me a blending, an eyeliner, and angled and a very random flat brush and i'm happy ^^

  • @kindAhumaNbeinG if you got a huge mac brush set, then your brushes were fake anyway. mac doesn't make huge sets - 5 brushes max

  • @kindAhumaNbeinG In addition to your fake MAC set, you're just really simple :)

  • @jenGeeJushawshee I'd like to ask you something, hope you don't mind.

Why is it that you feel the need to be condescending to someone who just does not share your opinion on something trivial like make up brushes?

honestly, i don't get why people try to piss off others, is it that it makes you feel superior to someone for a little while?

I really like this channel and i thought it's perfectly fine to share an opinion or idea, as long as it is polite enough...

  • i really doubt that any of those people who go around youtube and make snotty remarks without really being provoked by a nasty comment, would act like that in real life, or would you?

and yes, i know that i was kinda snotty myself right now but for now, i've have had it with this kind of low behaviour... if you want to feel superior, go get a kick ass job and be great at it...

  • thank you too :*

  • Ugh I hate brush gaurds, they fray out the bristles no matter what I do.

  • hey wayne, what do you think about Bubbi Brushes? since Bubz is popular, her brushes are too. :3

  • I really trust your opinions. thank you!

  • Again very informative, thank you x

  • love all your vids, especially your reviews!

  • great video! i need to find your video that you made with the "push brush"!

  • What would you recommend if I have a fairly large eyeline to eyebrow area but small eyes, no crease that has a lot of skin? Yes I do have Asian eyes. So half the brushes you mentioned won't help me...

  • @linited Check out Rae Morris' video for asian eyes. Great tip and you can totally use the brushes mentioned above :)

  • @MCmammajama ah thankyou for the tip. shall check it out now. I guess I gotta practice with more brushes to see what works for me. once again thanks

  • Hey sweetie, since no one else has been able to answer I was wondering is the face and body foundation because it is water base can you use it in an air brush machine? • Hi Wayne

Another great tutorial. Thank you! I hope that you will consider writing a book with makeup tips. I think it would be very successful!

  • I love brushes! I don't mind hearing you talking about brushes again. I really liked your other video on Make Up For Ever brushes because nobody ever talks about those.

  • I am not in a position to buy good brushes yet, but I do have a collection of e.l.f. brushes. They work well, but I think they could make them softer. Thank you for the video. Have a great week.

  • Great review. Really appreciate your opinion. Thanks so much! Hugs xxx Eva

  • Have you heard about Maestro brushes? They are amazing

  • Could you do a tutorial for hooded eyes. I really struggle with finding the right look for me. I love having thick eye with a pretty wing, but at the end of the day, it ends up in the middle of my lid.

  • I am so excited about the Rae Morris brushes! They look beautiful and you know with her being the power house behind them that they will be well made and practical

  • i love you and all your videos :) <3

  • You're the best... keep the awesome vids coming they're my favorite :)

  • Thanks!!

  • I like the 224 better than the 222. I don't think the 222 blends color out as well because it's so skinny. To each our own, though. :)

  • Great video Wayne. Can you do a Baby Doll Eye with some of your favorite brusehs? Great Video !

  • those angled eyeliner brushes always make me laugh. they're so funny looking. Thanks for the video.

  • I really hope the rumour about the MAC 226 brush is true, because I'd love for it to be a permanent brush.

  • Hi Wayne! Do you know if the Rae Morris brushes will be sold individually at some point? On the website you can only pre-order the whole set for 899$ :/

  • Great info, your the best!!! Thank you :)

  • Have you tried the Sedona Lace brushes? :)

  • i looooooove the 224 by mac cuz i have big eyes and brows lol

  • I have three 217s. I do not like the 224. Its bigger than my eye is!

  • what is the difference between a blending and a crease brush? they always look more or less the same to me.

  • WHAT DOES HE THINK OF SIGMA BRUSHES!!???:))))

  • Oh, and Inglot 4SS and 6SS are awesome too. Specially 4SS I use it for applying concealer and powder it.

  • I have a LOT of brushes, I think 239, 217, 210 and 226 are my favorites from MAC. And I love Everyday Minerals and MUFE brushes aswell :)

  • Wayne, what cheap makeup brushes do you recommend in the UK? unfortunately don't have much money to spend, so something found at boots or superdrug would be great!

  • @emermh Ecotools makes a very nice all-over shadow brush. I don't have my packaging anymore, but it was sold by itself, and it's extremely soft and picks up shadow well. It's kind of big, but it comes to a point at the end. I Don't have big eyes at all, and it's works nicely for me. I'm in the US, but it was sold in a drugstore for about 6-7 dollars, so it's economical. They also make a retractable blush brush that's nice and soft and inexpensive.

  • I agree, what about hakuhodo brushes? are they any good?

  • Do you wear makeup yourself? Or just apply it to other people?:)

  • @filledelalavande they blew me away! amazing!

  • The Rae Morris brushes look amazing!! What do you think of Sigma brushes?

  • @08oceanview i'm just not a fan of them sadly :(

  • @gossmakeupartist why not if u dont mind me asking?

  • @gossmakeupartist Hi Wayne, do you know if the Rae Morris brushes are available in the U.S.?

  • Hey, Wayne! I will take one of all the Louise Young crease brushes, my address is... ;)

  • Hi, Wayne! Thank you so much for the information!

Will you be at the IMATs in London next year?

  • @juvinogradova i will indeed :) x
