@drftzamurai Corvette was purchased from a dealer ship with 47K miles for 10,000.00 American dollars. The 240 was purchased privately with 100,000K miles on it for 7,000.00 American dollars. The 240 is on its 3rd full motor because the 1st 2 blew up. The vette is on the orig. motor. I would say cost is a wash in this case.

i love both cars... i have a c4 that i love to death... and ive had a s14 with a sr20det, but a rb25det thats deadly awesome. if you account the weight to power ratio on the s14 its in a HUGH advantage over a stock c4 with intake and exhaust, also its boosting too, but im not going to hate, I LOVE it! keep it up guys AWESOME work.

But you already knew all this. The ka24's in the 240 were built in japan, the truck motors in mexico. There are many different parts in the truck motors compared to the 240 motor. @bighunt08 Some of them are in the late 80s and 90s but those early C4s only had like 205hp and 250tq they were pretty slow. A guy I knew had a 1984 vette and he couldn't beat a stock 5.0 mustang I had... If I bought a C4 it would be a 89-96 model hands down.

Yup that's why they stopped making the Buick grand national was because it was outrunning corvettes back in the 80's with a v6(can't have some scrub outrunning the flagship of a brand now can we haha)... 86-91 vettes had around 250hp and were slow as dirt with the A4.. 92-96 vettes had 300+ horses and 350 torque..86-91 vettes can be made much quicker with just small tweaking. But I guess those extra 50 horses did the trick.. My 94 is a blast!
