  • Its not like the guy in white has a choice of quitting. You either get knocked out or you go until the bell rings.

  • @Paganfuckingsexgod Officers wear white tshirts on p coy all arms. That officer is not showing the courage needed to lead men because he turns his head away or looks up when he should lean forward into the fire and aim back at the other guys face.

Officers are expected to be better than the average as leading from the front is the key for them. Your buckets are not big enough for Para Reg

  • haha poor guy, hes up against a tank!

  • So upercutz, I'm assuming with a moniker like that you are a boxer? Milling has never ever been about boxing. This just shows us all that you are an un-enlightened civilian, but theres no harm in that.

Milling still goes on, it's a Para Regt thing. I've boxed in the military and had the shit knocked out of me, not to any skill I'll add, just for a bit if a laugh. It's good phys.

  • Milling is all about aggression. They are, as said, training to become airborne infantry, they don't want or need squeamish passive people.

Both the recruits did very well. Yes the black recruit was clearly a more proficient boxer, but it's not a measure of boxing technique, it's a measure of aggression and willpower and the white recruit had that in bucket loads.

  • @Paganfuckingsexgod they aint recruits and they aint training to be airborne infantry as this in an all arms course

  • the white guy, just keeps coming back, he never thinks of quiting.... top bloke..

  • i know which one id go into combat with lllmmmfffaaaoooo

  • @upercutz

I would go with the white shirted bloke because under the pressure he did not back down but carried on. The black guy although stronger and more of a boxer, has been untested under pressure so I don't know how he would react.

  • this clip rates amongst the worst iv seen. iv boxed and believe me that was total abuse there was only won lad who was enjoying it the other was in a bad place do they still do this ???? people on here who say this is a good thing know fuck all about knowing how that lad is feeling. fare enough its caractor building stuff but once you'v been nocked down probably for a second time let one of the other fuckers get up who was pushing him back in have a go. that captain needs a fuckin kickin

  • @upercutz you obviously have no idea what the aim of milling is, top tip do a bit of research before commenting on something you know nothing about

  • @upercutz Only a civilian or a hat could make such a crass comment..these lads are training to be Airborne so quitings not on the agenda.as for how he's feeling...if you want sympathy..its in the dictionary...somwhere between shit and syphilis

  • Respect to this guy for getting up over and over

  • Firstly - the tags on this video are a joke. BJ Penn? GSP? Seriously??

That said - milling is hardcore. I decided against joining the forces when I realised it was scumbag politicians who got to decide where they fight - but way before then some ex-forces people I know had told me about milling. No defence? Just punch and be punched? Seriously??? Wow!

SERIOUS respect to the white guy here. That he was swinging to the end in the face of such a beating is worthy of anyone's respect.

  • being hard is not only what you can give out its what you can take and still get up, its about every bone and muscle hurting and still making yourself move and think and get the job done.

  • First I though "fuck we got pussys like this defending our country" but then again the other guy doing the punching is tough enough for the both of them.

  • win or lose its about courage. , getting punched in the face then getting up again to give it your best shot.

  • @FreeTrecker

size and weight, its not a sport.

  • @Stu3100 well said :)

  • YEAH!! bloody mouth....he beat his ASS!!

  • Both Paras, they share each others victories.

  • What the fuck is that for some shit.

it isn't good for the two men. The men in white, he cant realy fight, it isn't good to take him in a battle with a lot of folks around when his ass just are being kicked, he don't lerning enything else that being scary.

The other also don't lern anything, he must have some resistance, and that he don't get when the other man don't hit good back.

And it specialy dont make you feel good to get you ass kicked with a lot of people looking, not lern anything.

  • @Quacko69 You are an idiot. Before posting a comment next time learn how to speak english properly. The whole point in milling is to show determination it doesn't matter if you get your ass kicked if you take the punches head on thats all that matters..

  • @Quacko69 It isn't about that. It is about confidence, determination and assertion that guy got his ass kicked and went back to it every time. That is the guy you want in your section. After all you don't box the enemy on the battlefield.

  • The black guy knew what he was doing if you watch before the fight starts he is doin nothing but watching his opponent and nothing else, next when the fights about to be called he drops his weight keeps a nice tight guard and looks him in the eyes. when the fight is then called the opponents guards is so loose he cuts straight through and thats all she wrote! :)

  • I'd want both of those guys in my unit!

  • It is not the size of the dog in the fight! it is the size of the fight in the dog!

  • its not about who can box better!

  • when your a parra, your a parra, end of

  • is that top less guy ment to beat the shit out of the other one to see if he lasts?

  • this shouldnt be for public display, it should be kept private, look up the word decorum!

  • The Royal marines that wear parachute wings! Do they have to do PPS? And for what reason do they need to be parachute qualified?

  • @englandforeverist Royal marines don't have to do P coy because they have done the commando course. Having parachute trained marines gives commanders more flexibility when planning operations.

  • guy in the whites an officer

  • @MarineOutlaw no shit lol

  • When I did P coy there was no head guards ... its was the first event of a 3 day P coy painful stage ending with the dreaded log race ...this is only a small part of what makes us different from the hats ... and I must confess they will always have a poke at us and usually lose. Airborne !!

  • No you just can't mill but you still do everything else

  • How long have they been wearing head guards? So even the para's are not imune to the character sucking grasps of the Health and Safety department!

  • @outside4areacleaning headguards have been in for years now, gumsheilds are now compulsory and you have to pass a full boxing medical before you can mill as well.

  • @TheAirbornePainTrain So if you fail the pre milling med then you can't continue on P Coy?

  • is the guy in the white drunk? pmsl

  • How do they mark you on this?

  • @samtv5 if you get knocked out you fail

  • @SnipedByMe100 actually you don't fail if you get knocked out

  • @samtv5 If you pussy out, or do not show enough aggression, you fail.

  • If you completely fail at milling, do you still have a good chance at passing p company? And when I say fail, I mean fail like not getting one hit on the other person but you still carry on?

  • @samtv5 this event and the trainasium is a pass or a fail, so failing any of these 2 means you fail p-company the other events are done by points, 10 being the highest.

  • @728Rick this is NOT a pass/fail test only the trainasium is

  • Courage is not being un afraid its being afraid and carrying on enough said!!

  • Good effort both of them, you get numbered for milling and you don't know who your up against until called. then you follow the commands.

Controlled aggression weehooo, until the next fker up can fight, it'sa great leveller for big headed fkers and the chance for the wee man as well.

That the best ye got is not what you state, no raising of hands, it's just can ye do it even when the odds are against ye.

  • nice milling there, its just about controlled aggression, stopping and starting on the word of command, to any of the lads who get the opportunity, its only a minute so give it your all and don't give up! you don't want to be awarded with that golden handbag!

  • my sister can do beter

  • Para training is the best. Make you fearless

  • When did they bring in head gear ,, i went through P company 1985 and we had no head gear , chin up no dropping your head take it on the chin ,,

  • @kurdt6794 I am a Walt so I wear my para uniform never having had to endure a milling or even run half a mile. All the girls swoon around me as I talk about my heroic exploits in kosovo, Iraq and Korea.

  • Philcoool take a look at my boxing videos.Ex 59 Commando.Take a look at my Facebook group.Nechells group Birmingham.I will ad you i am Phillip Cameron.

  • Officers wear white t shirts when on P coy, the other guy is probably a soldier/nails civvy. and NONE of those guys there are pussys! got my p coy coming up in march

  • I don't understand this milling, do you have to win to pass or just be able to be able to fight/take beatings for 60 seconds?

  • @ravingjunkey it's meant to be 1 (or 2, I can't remember) minutes of controlled aggression, you're not allowed to block or dodge and they assess you on how well you perform, I think.

  • he one in the white shirt is a true fighter! he goes back for more even when he is getting beat.

  • The first guy is a pussy

  • @Oblivia666

a pussy gives up, he did not.

  • No education and have no knowledge of what they are fighting for :/

  • @tenfourbigdaddy I think it is you who has little education clearly being unable to fathom the kudos which goes with passing through p company training.

  • @tenfourbigdaddy You're a idiot

  • Busted! So when they merging the paras and the rifles anyway?

  • Yea that's what the marines said but not so bluntly! I really wanna be a para, I already got the horse tatoo and tell everyone Im gonna do it!! Bet I could own you at windmilling! Airbuorne!!

  • My first session milling I got the shit kicked out of me. The corporal pulled me to one side and said "son imagine he is every fucking bully whoes ever bullied you go back in and give him hell" and what did I do I went back him swinging for all I was worth felt great for it but still got a pounding

  • I really want to be a soldier and really wanted to be in the marines as I have a lad by me serving and he lives the dream. I tryed out and failed the prmc. They said that the paras do the same sort of thing but you don't have to be clever or fit so I'm going

To try out in the army. I'm scared of flying but the marines said you lot don't jump anymore because of budget cuts, so I will join up. See you soon brothers!! AIRBOURNE!!!

  • @foley62988 What they said is wrong. Paras are among the fitest. Tbh I don't think you should join any form of the military, you sound like a wimp.

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha .....brilliant.........could only have been written by a bootneck.

  • @foley62988 am sorry but who ever told u u dnt need to be fit to join the paras is lying

fr them to even entertain u u need ur mile and a half run time under 9mins 18

so if u really want to join u better start trainin

  • Feel sorry for Batey, judging from this he is the type of bloke I'd want to fight alongside though.

  • Yes batey you beast, Typical Brit, No matter how hard the challenge you get back up and carry on.

  • The British Army are fantastic, but fuck I would hate to oppose them in combat!! Between the British SAS, British Parachut Regiment, Royal Marines SBS, Mountain and Artic Warfare Cadre and Group Commachio, Brigade of Ghurkas, Brigade of Guards, Royal Green Jackets...what more would you need!! The only infantry from other countries which could compare (but are not quite there) are from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Isreal, South Africa, Germany and Israel.

  • can some1 help me.. Is this done through p company or through the pre para selection ?

  • @RoKsTa9 p company, definitely not pre para selection.

  • @RoKsTa9 P-coy

  • id knock your fucking head off . you wouldnt even have a chance ya mug

  • I want to join 16 medical regt, looking forward to this =D

  • Milling isn't about sporting ability, it's about risking having your face mashed for 60 seconds and having the nerve to get up for more when your knocked down. As a young man, I milled (training in a different 'Corps') against a martial-arts champion who had a grudge against me. He caught me a beautiful upper-cut, but I spat half a tooth out and kept going. He respected me from then on. Millinging is not violence, it's a test of pure determination.

  • @Original50 he upper cut you and broke a tooth with a gum shield on? you are a fucking liar !

  • @dikkydoo1 : Gum-shield? Sorry my friend, but all we had were the helmets... Milling wasn't even an officially recognised activity in the corps I was training with. We were told to come to the gym-hall with our swimming-kit and made to do the breast-stroke whilst lying on benches laid-out in the form of a square. When the OC and other non-DS personalities started to gather, we realised something was up. Refusers were binned. We were also 'required' to jump between Adam & Eve on Tryfan.

  • @Original50 i am sorry - my son informs me that the gum shield is a fairly recent addition. so i jumped the gun a bit on that one. best regards.

  • @dikkydoo1 : Apols unconditionally accepted ;O)

Try and imagine, in 1987 the super-dooper olive-green Reebocks were first introduced as 'issue' running shoes. My intake were the last to get and use the evil and crippling canvas 'sannies'. Yes, my pals and I were the last to be subjected to '58 webbing, ' tin-lids' and institutionalised 'beasting'...

  • respect to the lad in the white top... fuck the lad who dropped him.

  • In 1983 i was in a boxing competition check my site philcoool when you have time and you can see 9 bouts ,some KO.

  • Mr.Batey well done sir, never gave up ,total respect ,would allways want you in the trenches with me.

  • That milling is horrible stuff. Top respect to the boys who do this to look after the rest of us.

  • im joining up in a year and half getting my self fit i dont know who i wanna join yet was thinking R.A but after seeing this i wanna go paras lol well done on the millin lads

  • @lovell690 go airbourne artillery you get to parachute out with ur light gun

    razy stuff

  • thats mad as fuck. im up for paras at next intake hopefully after adsc, and man i hope i dont come up against someone like that !!!! @runnerpart2 your mad! respect

  • fukin ell that guys a warrior

  • respect to both of them at least the guy in white didnt give up

  • that officer got smashed

  • whos the hardest fooker in that square..!!! i tell ya the guy in the white shirt ..!! why cause no matter wa ..!! he never gives in TRUE GRIT ..!!! well done lad

  • Fair play to the man, didn't throw in the towell after a kicking like that.

  • Well done to him for not giving up.

  • if he in the white just got his chin down those shots would have just hit his fore head he would have been ok respect for not givving up

  • milling is not boxing and can look a bit pathetic especially in a mismatch like this but as others stated at least he kept getting up. Personally I knocked a front tooth out of my opponent but that black guy would have stuffed me.

  • Hey least the lads brave enough to get back up, respect where its due.

  • haha! My names Batey as well!

  • Ah brings back memories of Browning barracks, Aldershot

  • props to that guy who got beaten. atleast he stuck it out

  • all about heart and determination, and he showed that, 2nd place is 1st place

  • your a fucking dick, he prob has no experience fighting & thats why he's doing it to learn, everyone has to start somewhere & at least he stuck it out. anybody who passes cic IS a propper soldier and any professional military personal wouldn't put down another like that

  • Stupid fuck, learn to string together a proper sentence and spell correctly.

These are crap hats and haven't passed p coy at the time of this video, this is milling which is all out straight punching with no dodging, evading or blocking and for that reason it you do not see any fighting skill when even pro fighters do it.

Give me your name and the brigade you served with in the marines and I'll see if you telling the truth or telling porkies about serving.

  • @ParaKettlewell Philcoool take a look at my boxing videos.Ex 59 Commando.Take a look at my Facebook group.Nechells group Birmingham.I will ad you i am Phillip Cameron.

  • @ParaKettlewell im 17 and wish to join the paras and my fitnes is quite good but i have had athsma from a very young age but havent had any serious illness from like a chest infection of an athsma attack in about 6 years would i be able to join

  • @frank6546

apparently according to some woman on yahoo answers, if you had no problems after 12 years old, apparently you should be fine.. best speak to a recruiter ;)

  • @frank6546 yes you can if you havnt had medication for 4 years you will be accepted .... good luck

  • fuckin sea hat. go and drown.

  • Before you criticize others perhaps you should learn punctuation. A fullstop after fuck would be a good start. Cocksucker.

  • Guy in the red wasn't aggressive enough is all, good show to both guys. A lot of props to the one who lost for showing such balls.

  • hope this kid passed - he's not much of a scrapper, but you gotta keep getting up - good effort

  • they were both shit at boxing , but that isnt the point of the exercise. It is a spirit test and the guy who was getting beat up showed that he had some onions. A boxer would have chinned the other guy out cold in two seconds

  • Yeah it's about heart and not just who wins.

  • @ilikezappa U wasnt to show boxing skills i can box dont orry about that, but if u did box they put u in there will someone heavier!

  • @runnerpart2 Exactly. Boxing is not much use when you are being shot at .What you need are mates who have the grit to do the job under more pressure than most people can imagine. i.e lots of angry Taliban trying to kill you with rpgs and machine guns. I wouldn`t give a shit what your left hook is like , so long as you are shooting back . Top marks to the man.

  • @ilikezappa id say the half cast guy was gud being as they arnt aloud to throw hooks

  • not criticisin him lyk but the lad in the white cud have tuk the hits better if he kept his chin down

  • Well done to the guy that won, and a big well done to the guys that lost, he still went in even though he was beat, thats determination for you ! =)

  • feel sorry for that bloke who lost,...but good on him for going back for more,....i hope he passed :) x

  • I think bloke might have actually been a boxer. Also good on that Bloke in the red for going back for more, i hope he passed =) x

  • Nah mate, im not a boxer and yes the other guy did get through the course and passed!

  • what are you the bloke in the Blue? x

  • @runnerpart2 Are you still in the paras?

  • @runnerpart2 did u go into 1 para?

  • @runnerpart2

good boxing jabs mate. coming from a glasgow born royal marine.

you would be good on a friday night in glasgow haha

  • @runnerpart2 I'd be well annoyed if I was milling you - your arms are long as fuck. I'm a short arse so I wouldn't get near you!

  • @runnerpart2 I'm a Walt so I never had to endure milling before I earned/bought my para wings.

  • @WhOoDareZwiNZz im a semi pro mma figher, but this is hardcore took em on the chin and get swinging, im proud to be british

  • @WhOoDareZwiNZz you fucking aas you have to go back for more. shiiiit

  • its all about getting back on the fucking horse well done red guard for doing so

  • cant wait for this haha! maybe the other guy could have had a guard ? he went in hands down :|

  • haha i remember doing this fun fun fun

  • kudos to the guy who lost, didn't give up. i hope he passed.

  • longest minute of that lads fuckin life but he never backed down though respect

  • Isnt milling something to with simulating a firefight at an early stage of training? To get the recruit to put himself in the line of fire in order to fire back? Thats what ive been told...youre not allowed to duck or cover up, and you have to throw straight shots apparently...

  • correct

  • tht makes sense

  • Whoever that "rup" is - takes it. Not that I'm boasting, just a bloke who wished he's done it when he was 20. Top respect to these fella's. All I can see from the milling, no playing field there. Top men, top respect.

  • When else are you gonna get to beat the shit out of a rupert lol....got alot of heart to go on.....best men leading and the best men following..."utrinque paratus"

  • He has heart, I'll give him that.

  • the point in milling is to see if you got the balls! i got beat in my milling round and still passed p company, lol never took a beating like this guy did though, but he got up every time so thats good, mon the reg

  • Not sure what the point is in milling, i know that the lad in the white has got guts but i learn nothing of his opponent apart from he is stronger than the other guy. There must be a better way to find if someone has balls.

  • Taking a battering and giving a battering, thats what Para's special.

  • Brave lad to keep on getting up !!!

  • that rupert got wiped out ,oh well ;O) is this all arms or actual regs P-coy?? just contenders look bit older than average joe?anybody? ahhh memories i lost mine but big weight /height difference, even though i knocked him down TWICE lol LOL you cant beat being looked after by P-coy staff ;o)

  • it is all arms p coy

  • Milling like most parts of P company is about being a bloody minded stubborn git. The harder you go, regardless of what is thrown at you and how often you get dropped, the better a Para you will make. This vid a good example of that as Bates will have passed this test for balls rather than ability.

  • yeah your right, at the end, hes bleeding and beeing bashed but he turns right back to his opponent and tries again! go for him! xD

  • Have to tell ye, Batey showed a lot of guts there - there's plenty of men who'd give up after they went down the first time.

  • That poor guys clearly never been in a fight before lol. Oh well respect to him none the less

  • Im in the process of joining the British para's atm , im 16 , and my interview is tomorrow . I do a lot of running and run for the county and region , but i doubt that will help me much when i get to p coy ! still looking forward to it none the less :)

  • good tip for ye mate, before you go try an get used to running with a bit of weight on yer back as well, i was a runner n wen i first joined up had done no running with weight n wen it came to tabs they totally hammered my back!

  • BAD ASS. We need this shit in the u.s, this is bad ass. Full respect to my British cousins. - Atlanta, U.S.A.

  • this isn't boxing, its milling. They are para's who fight having mostly never boxed in their lives and the ideaisto show agression by attacking - you score nothing if you defend - and getting up again and again until the fight is stopped either after the time limit or due to serious injury / knockout. There is nopoint to this other than showing agression to your superiors and never backing down or defending. Nutters!

  • Comment removed

  • well done to batey ,you see he was the man that gets most respect from me ,and how ,well he kept on fighting while getting beat ok,.now batley has bottle ..and batley can be trained to fight better .coz he has the bottle,.the guy that was doing all the beating ,.well could he gave kept going if some better guy was beating him ?..boxing just needs bottle ,.you can be trained to be better much better,.well done , batley ..

  • oh dear that gezza in the white cant stand his ground for shittttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  • If you can stand up and take a hit from the biggest guy there, you're gona score more points then anyone. Milling is about winning. As long as you can get back up and fight until you;re ordered to stop, thats all that matters.

  • isn't*

  • dont see it hurting that much it looks more brutal than it is ive done ametuer boxing and the hits arent too bad

  • I have too mate, why dont you go and have a go at p company then tell us how your boxing helped you. they are super fit and trust me I bet they will wop your arse.
