  • now lets se malmsteen play that! right hand tecnique is fucking tecnical!

  • God it's just a wall of sound hitting you and making you say "Fuck yeah," how does one guy make that much music with one guitar?

  • best of ever :)

  • Jimmy is simply incredible. I have seen mostof the great guitarists (not hendrix). The only others that can hold a candle to Page that I saw was Jeff Beck. Stevie Ray was incredible as well but not as versatile, he was 100% blues, but extremely awesome.

  • the greatest guitarist ever !

  • the genius !!

  • sloppy? yes maybe...but hendrix was as well, for example in the woodstock festival which is known for his best performance. it's not about hitting each single note, music is about feelings

  • I cannot play any way except sloppy . If I concentrate to hard on the notes I always lose the feel . And it takes from the spontanaeity of playing if u are too concerned about perfection . Who wants to hear a robot play guitar ???

  • 何かが乗り移っているかのようだ

  • What a genius.

  • He makes sloppy beautiful. Can guitarist do that today? I don't think so.

  • this sounds aweful,

  • The first video that I ever felt the need to comment on the fact that I have no possible way of expressing what this video does to my brain. And I love it when cameras close up on his fingers, they're so long it's a miracle that he gets them to move so fast I just dunno, I get all melancholic cos I can't see them live, ever

  • this ranks up there with some of the best compositions of all time, up there with some of the classical greats like Mozart and Bach, Jimmy page is an absolute genius.

  • my god god god...

  • ALL HAIL PAGE, LORD OF ALL THAT IS MUSIC!

  • 3:45= best part

  • look at bonham get at it!!!!

  • hypnotic music : Sir Jimmy Page the greatest of all : cut my soul for ever..........the best of the best

  • fuckin paranormal activity

  • there is a difference between a good guitarist and a goo musician. Mr. Page has found the balance of the two.

  • The most amazing guitarist there ever was, Never got to see him live but this DVD is worth every penny!!!

  • 5:40ish, John is going yeaaaaaa maaaaan

  • WHERE IS PART 1!! ITS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND

  • Dú Caralho!!!

  • 3:46 =shivers

  • i agree, mozart & beethoven, yea!

  • If Mozart sucked - then how come in a time where there was NO TV - NO RADIO and NO MARKETING did his work become so popular and loved??

I'm not a huge fan of classical music - but the greats ARE great for a reason - a universal reason - and Jimmy Page has earned his place..... just sayin...

  • Is this standart tuning?

  • Nope, DADGAD.

  • slightly sitar like sound

  • @rockroundtheclock1 too bad it's the crappy video sound quality

  • Comment removed

  • munchie180 is a moron

  • hahah i know to much liquid micro dot

  • oh my bad then

  • I think this is the performance where Page was sick and had to sit down. They ended the show early because he was so sick. Later they found it was food poisoning.

  • this is 1970...the show you are speaking of is 6/9/77...during the beginning of the 1977 North American Tour. he got food poisoning in Chicago.

  • Oh, thanks for the correction. All I knew is that he got food poisoning and had to sit down.

  • happy to help!:)

there is a video of that show leaked out into the public and you can see a sick Jimmy page fall down..that night he was on fire, but got ill fast.. its a bootleg of course. also you can find the show on bootleg. you can even get all 4 nights at chicago on cd . Led Zeppelin was one of the biggest bootlegged bands ever. there are thousands of live shows that were taped by fans from 1968 till 1980.

  • @AirJGFoLife69 Ya, bootlegging was a real problem 'cause of the small recorders that were coming out. They could be put inside a pocket and you could tape the whole show. Other bands who were infamous for being bootlegged were Deep Purple, Eric Burdon, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd.

  • Where is part 1?

  • I swear aliens wrote that one and beamed it down to jimmy page's brain.

  • more commonly referred to as "lsd"

  • lol

  • 47 thousandth view

  • Davy Graham's "Moustapha" at 1:16.

  • so much feeling, who gives a shit if he's sloppy, he's written more legendary music than the crappy shred-masters these days

  • oh so damn true.many music is a nice listen but lacks soul, micheal angelo batio beeing a great example.

  • @senojnomis

He's only sloppy when he's fucked on drugs. He was amazing this concert... absolutely mindblowing.

  • @senojnomis There are no shred masters these days

  • @senojnomis HE's not sloppy. He's just so fucking amazing that the the amps and guitars of the time couldn't track the unholy speed with which he played and therefore the notes all ran together. and still it was beautiful.

  • @senojnomis wrong use of the word sloppy, *who gives a shit if he's not technically crisp*

  • Isn't that really matter of opinion?

And, the music industry is a business, but I don't think million dollar record deals has anything to do with this.

Take a look at the past 5 years for god sakes.

  • your full of shit and you know it fuck off

  • this is impossible. round of aplause

  • Shades of the Heartbreaker solo at 0:30?

Jimmy Page, you are my God.

  • oh yes

  • Comment removed

  • 2:06-2:50= Orgasmic

  • Lol this is godly. probably one of the best solos i've seen by page

  • And the rest of the band is damned fine, too!

  • What a beautiful breath of fresh air! I love to watch Jimmy work his musical miracles! Can't thank you, enough, for posting all of this. :>)

  • I'd let Jimmy Page shit on my chest.

  • Hes a genius. When you hear Page solo, he speaks. - Eddie Van Halen

  • This may be a traditional song, but Jimmy sure as hell imprinted the emotion of this song. I don't care what those nay sayers say, he's definitely one of the greats.

  • it's way too good, you nearly would think he's an alien or something =P, he's definitly the best!

  • nobody like him... I wish i could fuckin see him live, or jam with him.

  • lol if i jammed with him i would like cry

  • hes the greatest, this only proves it

  • its alright but hes done allot better in his blues rock type stuff

  • truly amazing!

  • Jimmy Page is a major influence in my musical expedition. I learned of this tuning from him, and I have composed my own song from the same tuning. Check it out if you like. Thanks!

    "SONGBIRD" BY DAVID JASON

  • Pity for what you don't know what you're talking about.

No one cares about your arrogant ass.

  • your are the stupidest fuck ever hes not showing off hes putting his emotion into his guitar

  • great!! Great great!!!

  • holy shit

  • Oh where have all the musicians gone.....

  • I think Page should be ranked with the best and i dont mean Hendrix and Blackmore i mean Mozart and Beethoven.

  • @seanozep mozart sucks ass - well he is mediocre as hell - , there are much better composers, and many more better musicians in rock (than mozart that is). i agree page is amazing but i think your a just a douche.

  • @UsernameSuspended

What do you mean Mozart sucks ass? Do you know anything at all about music?

  • @TheFoOl2411 do u?

  • @MrSuZZA yeah

  • @TheFoOl2411 oh, my bad, i thought u were saying mozart and beethoven sucked.

  • @seanozep Amen brother.

  • @seanozep so do I

  • @seanozep He is a very underated musician, indeed. A super-hero. My personal God.

  • @seanozep

    Hendrix WAS Mozart and Beethoven.

  • @seanozep I always thought Mozart was a Vampire... think about it......

  • @nivek0270 jimmy too

  • @tartinovich9 I was inferring that maybe mozart was jimmy....

  • @seanozep who cares about those shit. JB > JP

  • @seanozep I have seen Hendrix, Clapton, Alvan Lee and many other Great Rock Guitarists in my life..I am 60 years old..In my head for me in life No One in Rock can be compared to Jimmy Page..He is to me the most fantastic guitarist that ever walked this planet...:-)

  • at 3:00 he gets with it. love the song, and the wonderful danelectro '59.

Bonzo, Jones, Plant and Page forever

  • page put all of his charactor into his music, he played what he wanted to hear.

  • Comment removed

  • 2:31 - 2 :35 : dirty Danelectro - C'mon Jimmy, PAY someone to POLISH that baby !

    3:46 - 4:02 : MIDNIGHT MOONLIGHT ..25 years removed.

  • and this may not be one of my favorite versions of this song...but the one on the led zeppelin mothership dvd is AMAZING

  • YEP Your so right.....check out the Mothership version. Best i have heard for a long time.

  • I agree. I just saw it for the first time last night and was blown away.

  • eerie and gorgeous, one of my favorite tunes period

  • period?

  • sick playing :D

    i love his speed!

  • sexy sweater vest ;]

  • hey pakvanjdam, first of all, it's "then" and not "than." When you're going to criticize someone, at least don't sound like a fool. Secondly, Jimi Page wrote, produced, and played all music. And they sold more albums than the beatles. What have you accomplished in your life? Half this? A third? A fraction? I'd love to hear you play the guitar, I bet you ROCK!

  • offra.

    thank you.well said.

You have to ignore certain ppl.

    born without a brain.

NEVER, EVER ARGUE WITH A ZEP FAN.OR TRY TO CRITICIZE THE GENIOUS OF JIMMY PAGE.

    YOU CANNOT WIN...

  • dear pakvanjdam: meaningless my ass! this is one of my favorite songs! it is truly amazing. as all led zeppelin songs are. see. he's not like mosy guitarist today...he uses a little technique called EMOTION and FEELING!

    pff...meaningless...GET A BRAIN...AND USE IT!

  • The 70's brought so much great rock and roll!

Led Zeppelin was one of those bands!

Great guitar solo's! Thanks for posting!

    Zeppelin music forever!

  • I can't figure out if that bass in the background is Jones or Bonzo's drums but it sounds awsome. In the Coda version, I think Jones plays bass over Jimmy and it adds so much feeling.

"can't find dvds so this is what i'm reduced to" lol

  • AWESOMEeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

  • If my soul could speak...

  • Jimmy Page the greatest guitarist in the world..no question.

    He is a "BEAST"...........

Eric Clapton and Eric Clapton his students.

    Peace.....

  • Is the D scale, and this is brilliant he is an alien.

  • this movie has to things goin for it. 1) jimmy page is for sure in the top 3 guitarists to ever live. 2) john bonham is the man.

  • amen brother

  • I cant find my led zep dvds, this is what Im reduced to...

  • absolutely the best of his genre. english invaders. i think the best rock guitarist ever.people argue that clapton was G"". um he had to compete and loose to hendrix. over all you got to see that page was the strongest of that era. hats off to jmmi page.

  • he's playin the eastern scale...the 'sufi' rock as they like to call it...its known to be divine...i wonder if he listened to that stuff or if his mind started talkin to him to play that thing..cos if he randomly came up wid that, as it seems to be the case, then for sure he was a musical genius as i believe him to be one neway..

  • what is an eastern scale? i would like to get more info on it

  • What "eastern" scale does he play it in? I know a few myself and it doesn't sound very eastern to me, but it could just be the order in which he plays the notes.

  • Jimmy page has to be the best guiters ever after watching both parts to white summer

  • That just sent chills down my spine...OMG. That was awesome!

  • After this demonstration of talent I'm gonna throw away my guitar

  • Jimmy Page talks to "god"......

  • HE'S A MACHINE!!!

  • Page, Hendrix, Beck, Alvin Lee (Ten Years After) and a few other were guitar gods, they had soul, they had talent, they werent up tight about music they just let it flow through them and loved every second of it.

  • fucking creamed my pants after watching this amazingness

  • AMEN

  • FUCKING INCREDIBLE!

  • Eddie van Halen..????

Is not up there with the guitar GODS..

    He is good..but, boring..

    same with Clapton....BORING, BUT GOOD...

    Jeff Beck whole other story..amazing...

    This is TRUE ROCK GUITAR...

  • i agree, clapton is pretty boring. never rly got into him. awsome guitarist but doesnt come close to this

  • thanks.

    yes..amazing.

    Jimmy Paage is the master.

some prefer Clapton.he is tight and clean.

    I personally like J.P..

Just my own personal taste in music.

    Peace

  • JIMMY PAGE

    thank you.....

    incredible.....

  • I can't imagine a match to this. Jimmy is the Master of solos. Incredible!

  • What? Eddie Van Halen is best for soling? Hahahaha that's funny. Considering FOR THE MOST part his solos are easy, they're tapping. In my opinion tapping is extremely OVERRATED and takes almost no skill whatsoever, but guess who EVH got the idea of tapping from? OH YEAH! Jimmy Page, that's right.

Jimmy Page > Eddie in terms of music, soloing, style, etc..

  • "The solo's (Heartbreaker) trickery purportedly inspired Eddie Van Halen to develop his influential tapping technique after he had seen Led Zeppelin play "Heartbreaker" live", from Wikipedia..

  • um, no. eddie van halen is good, but doesnt' come close to page's solo. and yeah, he is a god. A BIG ONE.

  • totally agree with you :)

  • same here ;D

  • grande!!!

    page is GOD!

  • jimmy page is the only pearson to make a sweater vest work

  • thts black mountianside

  • its a song that includes black mountainside called white summer alot of improv. this is from the live double disc dvd,

  • Its JIMI Hendrix not Jimmy

  • this guys is awesome just like the other members of led zeppelin its fucking bad that john bonham died. and its really bad that jimmy page go in the world of heroin if i didnt did that maybe the last of led zeppelin will be better because jimmy dont play a lot in the last cd anyway he is the greatest on the earth

  • wtf this guys is a genious is the greates guitarist in the world nobody can beat him the solo is so incredible its been created in the 70s and in 2008 everybody is impressed to see what he does is so great long live to jimmy page

  • JIMMY PAGE!!!!

    For Emperor of Earth!!!!1

  • my favourite guitarist of all time time! then hendrix, then andy summers

  • I think that the people who are so judgemental of Pages playing should try and realize that if they had of lived at this time, when he played this, his playing was superior to most guitarist of the day and definately still is admired by all accomplished guitarists even today.Including myself-I've been playing for 48 years and I still love his sound.

  • my 2 fav guitarist: slash and page !!!

  • Jimmy has beautiful hands.I wish I could kiss them. And look at good ol'Bonzo doing his bit there.

  • uhh... okay lol u want to do what with his hands?

  • I think I spelled the word "kiss" correctly.

  • Jimmy page is a guitar god and I am a 40 year old woman.

  • Brings back memories. Used to have this on DVD a few years back.. Good times indeed..

  • jimmy page is god, greates guitar hero of all!!!

  • wtf is this is hear? your trying to compare some blues with hard rock

how the fuck u gonna go about acomplishing that?? soooomeone needs to grow a fucking brain

  • The bit he does at about 1:13 is an arabic traditional song called "mustapha",is it not? Basically, this is absolutely amazing.Nobody ever played like that.He looks like he really loves what he's doing. And that is what makes him so special.Sigh...

  • Just enjoy "all" of the Great Players Please!

  • DADGAD, Danelectro y Jimmy Page. ¡¡¡¡¡GENIAL¡¡¡¡¡

  • bravisimoooooooooooo

  • jimmy is the man!!!! only he could pull that off

  • Maybe beacouse of the same heights (or depths) they reach :)

    thx anyway :)

  • exactly right smallsky9

  • Hendrix and Page are two different kinds of

World dont try to compare them....

    (at least i think)

  • Smallsky9
