This horse and girl bring tears to my eyes, what love, what total committment to one and other. They ride as thogh they are one. So beautiful, both human and horse!
I've been looking through these amazing videos of Stacy and this particular horse. Does anyone know the name? What a beautiful partnership these two have!
This is beautfiul. And there is only one way to make it happen- through horsemanship. Parelli is one of the best ways to get it. There is no way she could do that without a lot of work with different training methods. Parelli was probably one of them.
i know she leaned alot of her techniques from findley. But i know that she did study with pat parelli about 3-4 years ago..
So she has used some of the parelli techniques and if you look at the road to the horse comp the first one that she did she was using the parelli equiptment.
it doesnt matter every one has to start somewhere and to get where she is now is amazing, i do reining on my young 3 and 1/2 year old she is still learning and it is quite difficult
I am in agreement. I was responding to a previous comment that parelli is a Hoax and the comment about the carrot stick. I believe in Natural Horsemanship, I was just commenting that we can be inspired and learn from many trainers and clinicians.
Watching Stacy is inspiring and her horsemanship is impressive. But, this isn't a zero sum game, Parelli doesn't need to be criticized, both of these people are talented. I am sure Parelli could do this...
Correct me if I'm wrong, BUT I don't think that the poster of this video ment to criticize Mr. Parelli- I just think that there are several different ways to create a bond and partnership with your horse- NOT just one way or another- it takes time, patients and constancy to get the results you are looking for...
i am also postive that parelli can do this b/c i have seen him to sliding stops spins and lead changes all bareback and bidless if you dont believe me just search for the internet for other vids i have seen some amazing things happen!!
Me too, I just saw the real video a little bit ago, and I almost cried. And how sad that her dad died before this. But, wow, that is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would love to go watch her im sure it would be so much more touching in person. Im a barrel racer and there is no way in this world i could even begin to try and ride like that. even though im a BR i could sit and watch reining all day long it just amazes me
Isn't she awesome?!! I've been impressed with S. Westfall for several years now and would love to meet her sometime. Perhaps at the Equine Affaire one year...
She is an impressive rider and an impressive speaker. I was honored to meet and speak with her. Stacy Westfall is so down to earth, it's like speaking to a friend!
parelli i think is a hoax, he and many others like him make people think any horse can be ridden bridleless. its only a few horses that can really go bridleless and the rider to still have full control. my horse hasnt been ridden or had a saddle on in 5mos and this saturday i lunged her with it on and got on her and she steered completley off my legs.
Im sorry parelli is not a hoax it gives people a great foundation for preformance on their horses if you dont beieve me seach of youtube.com for some clips of david oconnor/ Karen occonor jumping bridless!! he uses parelli!
all it takes is good training and the right horse. and the only right way to do it is nothing around their neck or one of those 'carrot sticks'. yea stacy is a pretty good rider/trainer, but i like mine better....hehhee!!
I saw her do this performance. It was breathtaking. She didn't show in the freestyle this year, but she is next year and all I can say is that I can't wait! She gave a sneak peek of her routine and it's even better than the last one, if that's even possible.
Okay, I don't see how people can't comment on this this is awsome! Not even I can do that and I do western plasure riding! Anyway, is that u and your horse?
stacey's so nice =)

If you knew anything about Stacy, you would know that she went and spent a SUMMER at the PARELLI ranch in colorado as a guest of PAT himself.
