I can see why they'd pick a Southern VA for the Dub considering its history and the connotations of a Kyoto Ben in Japanese culture; the big problem is that a Southern accent doesn't have the obvious sing-song seductiveness that the KB does and that Naomi does so fricking well with her super smooth voice. A Southern voice just doesn't work with a manipulative flirt, so it pretty much ruins the whole Shizuru experience :/ Don't even get me started on Natsuki/Tate. Please XP

i can't help but comment but here goes.. is it me or there maybe another version of this episode.. i can't help but think that there's another version of this scene from 1:19 to 1:36 coz in another video (My-HiME English Dub Clip - Shizuru and Natsuki) which is dubbed in english, there are really some differences if you pay attention really closely.. XD

hmm really? how come? I liked the manga a LOT more than the anime because to me it made more sense. I felt like the story was much more defined and there was a lot more drama. Did you watch the anime first or the read the manga? I'm wondering if that has something to do with it... I read the manga first, maybe thats why I like it better.
