i still cant believe nintendo ripped off this ENTIRE game from an earlier obscure japanese release. the Lost Levels was the initial Super Mario Bros 2.. They ripped off another game and this was the product. I wonder why.

@AllWalksofLife Well, it wasn't an actual rip off as Nintendo made Doki Doki Panic along with Fuji Television.

Supposedly they made DDP into Mario 2 because they thought the actual Mario 2 (Dubbed "Lost Levels" when it was later released) was way too hard and frustrating (It kind of is too, lol!), so they began to rework DDP into a mario game so as not to tarnish the good name of Mario's first sidescroller game and to release DDP into a more appealing form for the West.

Does your computer have any sound in general? Perhaps your sound card or speakers went.

Try playing something on your computer that you know had sound working properly before. If it has sound, it's something about Youtube or a particular compatibility with YT.

my card didnt blow,i dont even have speakers,and last i know this one other vid and it didnt have sound,and last my pc has sound just when i play this vid it had no sound at all and it still dosent!!!!!!

No, I was talking like not videos, I mean like play a game or something that has sound to see if it will have sound. If it does, then something weird doesn't stream right with your computer and Youtube.

Right I didn't lost 20 lifes, but I don't have much lifes in it, so I've seen the game over screen alot..

Well, they only start you with 5. I don't remember how I accumulated so many, lol!

I would really like to know a way to get many lifes, I only know the one for SMB1.

You can get unlimited lives (kinda like a cheat) anywhere that there's one of those pots that keep spawning enemies... and a pit where a shell can bounce back and forth.

Basically throw the shell in a pit so it bounces back and forth... then wait for enemies to keep spawning and falling into it and they'll rack up points, leading to lives. I forgot which levels you can do it on though, lol!

I never used it though, otherwise I would've started with 99 lives when I switches save files. XD

I try to look for it here on YouTube, I know the one for SMB1 with a Shell were you need to keep jumping on it.

Yeah, that's one where you hop on a shell over and over. Usually on stairs.

That one also works in New Super Mario Bros., I always used it to get 99 lifes there, but I somehow suck at the timing now and can't really get it to work anymore.

Yep. It's certainly harder to get it to work on NSMB then in Mario 1. It's like you have to be a bit further away from the wall that you want to kick the shell back off of compared to mario 1.
