I did the epona glitch with a deku, and now the B button item won't switch back to a sword, it stays as a deku nut! Help...:o

i did this glitch and my sword went back to being the kokiri sword again and i tried saving both ways using the song of time and owl statue and it didnt work i had to do the side quest to get the gilded sword all over again i didnt really mind it tho cause i like doing the snowhead boss

I remember reading about this glitch in a Nintendo Power back in 2000 or so.

I never did get around to attempt it myself. I'll have to give it a go later.

All the glitches in MM N64/GCN will work on VC. There is only 1 English version of the game.

Try uploading video response of the gameplay if you can and maybe then I can point out something that is being done differently or something that isn't working.

@noobinatorftw You need to save at the Milk Road Owl riding out of somewhere else (like Gorman's Track or Termina Field) to have it work. If you get on the horse in milk road and save, it won't work.

@noobinatorftw did you try going out of that area, then back on epona? you cannot mount her in the area of the owl statue or the glitch wont work

my mate told me they made the graphics a little bit better for the VC version. is this true? also does this freeze and crash like the GC version?

@likeasquid no it doesn't. In fact it doesn't freeze unless you become fd on your horse or freeze as a zora. Other than that, it's fine!

You go to an owl statue as human link, and hit it with your sword. A green ball of light will come out of it.

"Check" the statue, read what it has to say about saving your game file, and then it will say:

"Save and and quit playing?"

Say yes and your game is saved.

I think that it doesn't work because of it saving to the memory card and not the system or cartridge. I don't think they fixed it.

@Clamper02 Yeah, and it'd be cool if the Gamecube version didn't look like crap, didn't lag like hell, and didn't freeze. As soon as I got the VC version, I felt 100x better about playing the game.
