I love how TFP is taking on a more epic feel than most other Transformer reincarnations. It's not really about slap stick humour or feel-good human relations, but the actual war. It's really serious, but it still has its moments, and while I had my doubts at first, it's actually realy awesome. :)

@prototech846 Cliffjumper existed to show us just how evil the Decepticons are. And set the tone. So far this show has been incredibly dark. Just the way I love my cartoons.

Anyways, it's possible they didn't have the funding to create a first opening with Cliff in it, or the idea of it was vetoed by the producers,

My favorite part of this theame is when Megatron comes wallking out calmly and shooting, then Starscream comes charging out and transforms and fires missiles. And Optimus races through the explosion and shoots. Then both Prime and Megatron are firing and throws a punch at each other. They did good with this theame for Transformers Prime.

I have to admit I had a knee-jerk "GEEWUN" reaction when I first saw the show. Revenge of the Fallen left such a bad taste in my mouth (not to mention Star Trek) that the one two punch of Orci and Kurtzman was almost a deal breaker for me. BUT i have to say the show has shaped up nicely. I even like the Bayformers-esque character models. Now if they'd only let Bumblebee talk and get rid of Miko (she's annoying as hell) this show will be as awesome, from a storytelling standpoint, as Beast Wars.

Don't get me wrong, as far as Transformers go, I LOVE G1. Who doesn't? Without G1 there'd be no Transformers. But that doesn't automatically mean that the G1 theme has to play in EVERY SINGLE incarnation of the franchise. Some variety wouldn't hurt.
