@whitemoonstarlight no i mean aswell coz when river and the doctor where next to the cot rivr took the doctors hand put it on the cot and said i am telling you
@TheRandomstuff12345 No, I'd always thought she did that because the writing on the cot changes depending on who's in it - it shows their name in Gallifreyan. So because baby Melody had been in it, it showed her name, and the Doctor read it.
coz i was thinking if river is the doctors mum and amy is rivers mum then why dont they just kill amy plus that would mean that the doctor had an affair with his grandmother

@TheRandomstuff12345 I agree with jo123phoebe that river was just showing him her name.Besides i think it would be kinda gross if the doctor was marrying his own mother.
@TheRandomstuff12345 she was telling him then by telling him to look at what was IN the cot, not what was written on the side of it ... the little scrap of fabric with River's name on it was in the cot and that's what the Doctor saw (made for Amy's baby by the girl who died in that episode).
River's Amy and Rory's daughter and the Doctor's wife. :-)
@Kavanaugh I've just watched the scene again, and the Doctor definitely reads what's on the SIDE of it - there's even a shot of the writing after he peers down at the side of the cot - and then when Amy tries to read it too River says "It's Gallifreyan, it won't translate - but this will" (proving that the name is in Gallifreyan and the language of the Gamma forests) So her name is both on the side of the cot AND the leaf. :)
so is river the doctors mum
