Saute butter, white wine, finely chopped shallots. Do not add salt. Drop in the clams, cover, shake lightly. Cook until they all open, discard any that don't. Those are the SP/PSP clams. Do not eat these! Serve with French or sourdough bread and butter. Sprinkle some chopped parsley on the clams just before serving, I like the crinkly kind.
Somebody help me out here in the spot between 5:21 to 5:53 just sounds like rambling to me. I can't make heads or tails of it, what is he talking about. I understand the concept of the tone scale I've looked at it a couple times but that section just sounds like almost random statements put together.
That's one of the segments sampled from an L Ron Hubbard Audio lecture. In that section LRH talks about how you can predict a person reactions etc based upon physical problems they have.
You either intentionally or ignorantly leave out the "tone weight" (numerical value) of each item in the qualities list.
Doing so implies that LRH would destroy a 3+ if they also happened to be homosexual. It might just lower them from 3.87 to 3.86. I could even agree with that for the purpose of creating a more functional society than what we have.
From what I've heard, my final review of Scientology would depend on a detailed description of their youth education programs.
Tone Weight? I've gone through 5 of the 9 books listed as the "Basics" and around 40 full lecture series, and haven't come across a single reference to that.
In lectures he states that if you find a person on one column you'll find them all across that band, with little deviation. He frequently talks about making predictions based upon observing them at one point on the tone scale.
Your reply also does not account for the specific qualities for which he says a person should be deleted..
It's completely irrational, as was Hubbard. He claimed in one lecture that he could cure blindness by Auditing an engram (painful life (or past life) memory) which was blocking the optic nerve.. that's just one example.
He claimed (History of Man) that you could eliminate tooth decay by auditing the person in a past life as a clam.. and claims like these are just the tip of the iceberg.
Read his first sci-fi novel, Battle Field Earth, back in the late 70's. Found it to be trite, loaded with bad dialog and poorly written (as if a high school sophmore wrote it) and devoid of any real science. As to LRH and psychiatric institutes, he was diagnosed as narcissistic and paranoid delusional at an early age. He wrote some teenage fantasy and then started to believe his own drivel!
Nice work 13H, I knew the $cilons would bring you back to youtube!
I admire your dedication in reading L Ron's crap- I'm wading through "dianetics"- apart from being the more unscientific "science" book I've ver read, his writing style is horrible!
As Hubbard wrote in Dianetics the basic goal of every being is infinite survival. That's what he called the dynamic principle of existence. But then later, when he developed Scientology, he said that we are immortal beings, thetans, anyway.
So he contradicted himself. It's impossible not to survive, when you are a thetan.
That's not entirely correct. The goal is listed as survival, however as presented the goal of scn is optimum survival, and the conquest of MEST by Theta. Once a Thetan has dropped their body (one way or the other) they are no longer able to continue in the conquest of MEST until they pick up a new body.
(not being argumentative, just countering it before some scilon comes in to use you comment as part of an effort to discredit a critic.
The irony is that LRH falls well below 2 on his tone scale even at his most healthy moments of life! Thankfully, he has attained 0.0 on his tone scale, now.
If 0.0 represents death, does that mean that the older a person gets the lower they are on the tone scale? I've spent enough time in the presence of the very elderly to figure out that death isn't a sudden thing
One thing that seems to be swept under the rug is that in the "scientological" writing of L Ron Hubbard he claimed that "If correct" scientology had the "potential" to grant a person immortality (physically that is)
0.0 more accurately is death of the body.. there are lower positions on the scale, but there of no practical use.
Oh, well there you go then. I deal with enough apologists to figure out the weasel words. "Potential". That's why Ronnie's dead. He only chose not to live forever. If he were the christian god, he would've chosen not to live forever to avoid interfering with free will. Funny thing about prophets, they always wind up dying no matter how immortal
But I take that second part to mean that decrepitude doesn't directly imply a lowering position on the tone scale, just that the symptoms of old age do?
That too in incorrect because once a person checks the "medical range" of the tone scale you start running into thing like arthritis.. which according to Hubbard should not manifest in at the upper echelon of Scientology (along with problems with vision, sight and baldness to name a few)
The "tech" collapses the moment you meet a Clear+ who is bald, wears glasses, uses a hearing aid, has a glandular or endocrine problem.. etc
These problems are blamed on the scientologist, and not the tech.
And I can assure you that the conditions you list: arthritis, vision, and bladness are indeed caused by either overuse or underuse. They are not default with age or default by genetics.
What those assumptions are backed up by is hard economics. There is a LOT of money to be earned IF those conditions are beyond the control of people and only the "medical system" can "ease their suffering." Converesely, there is actually a LOSS of money in educating citizens about truly healthy lifestyles and supplying them the necessary resources to achieve health.
Don't be naive and believe people who only make money when you're sick.
Human physiology is a complex subject. If you want to truly learn it then start by reading multiple textbooks on it. Or you can just step back and ask yourself: When has mankind ever NOT corrupted when money and power are the reward?
Nice explanation of Fair Game and the frightening parallels between the Orwell's nightmare tale 1984.
It's frightening that Hubbard would explain that you can identify some of the people who should be wiped out or seperated, by their disability, illness or sexuality. Freaky stuff.
Excellent video! Well thought out and clearly explained. This is the video I will show to people who don't know about $cientology or why we protest against the cult.
if believing this don't getcha,,,try Mormon crap.....

Wow. Overly brave? Seems like a odd thing to weed out of society. As well as shyness, and intorverted people.

Clams?
I love clams!

KSW! Keep seafood wine-infused. Enjoy!

Footnote; Those qualities are all referenced in the script for the next video segment.. which will be posted in a day or so.

Re: "Tone Weight? I've..."
IF that's true THEN LRH's scientology is irrational.
Aristotle broke up virtues and vices and did not assume "if you have one, you have them all"

I was watching 1984 last night & it totally reminded me of LRH & the cult of $cientology.
It appears auditing didn't help LRH own tooth decay, note the black & white video of LRH talking. His teeth look rotten and pointy.

LRon was so fucked in the head...it has been proven that human cells can only divide for 126 years, once they quit dividing, death occurs.

Arthritis, Vision problems and hearing problems are most often caused by genetics. Male pattern baldness is also hereditary - fraternal grandfather.
This is backed up by hard science.
