First of all: I don`t like beer as it tastes like water (tea is better) and you have to drink 10 of them to... get drunk with no fun but lets get to the point.
I got through it today & my conclusion:
it`s bloody good documentary, another proof of true facts behind corporations, I don`t buy it I don`t appreciate it but I`d definitely buy home beer to taste it & if it`s good I stick to it.
If you think beer tastes like water, I'll bet that's due to your frame of reference being limited to the Big 3 breweries macro lagers and "lites". Try an India Pale Ale or Amber Ale or Russian Imperial Stout and then get back to me.
I'd say this movie, as an expose, really only scratches the surface. But it's a great overview of the beer industry for the unfamiliar.

We saw the movie and I liked it for the most part. I was disappointed with how much they railed against AB , Coors, etc and pretty much ignored the factors, like you said, of why people drink craft beer. It's a bit of a "chicken and the egg" thing of how do you get people to drink more craft beer so you can afford to expand and sell more craft beer. I think craft beer sales will continue to grow as more and more people realize that it just plain tastes better.
I didn't see the movie. The closest showing was close to an hour from me. Can't wait for the DVD. I really hate how everyone picks on A.B. Let the people make their money. They have put the time and effort into it and deserve it. That's capitalism, and something we all benifit from in the long run!
