This video is awesome. Great sound and video quality. Phobophile is one of my favorite metal songs ever. As for The Unspoken King, I like a bunch of the songs quite a bit, especially Worship Your Demons and The Headsmen, but when they get to the songs with the clean covals, that just isn't Cryptopsy's strength at all. Overall it's an okay album and pretty weak by Cryptopsy standards, only because of a couple of songs that really ruin it. I do miss Lord Worm ALOT, but the new guy is good.

Thing i like in death metal: I found riffs more heavy and more aggressive, since mostly listen to thrash - death.
Things i DON'T like: Vocals. I don't understand a word, and mostly they are pointless (i found OPETH more interesting sometimes) And quite lame guitar solos. They are way better in genres i mentioned before.
But in conclusion, it's a style anyway. And it's respectable i guess. Not for everyone though :]

Bodom are Melodic death whether you like it or not, even tho the only death metal thing about them to me is their vocals. The rest of the music is a mix of power metal and thrash, but then again thats what a lot of melodic death is
well sorta not really, Death's brand was the original sound that was more of a heavy thrash sound, untill they experimented with a jazz influence, cryptopsy did the same, BUT they had the newer heavyer faster death metal going with the techinical jazz influence, so you could, but they are just two different bands

Bodom are Melodic death whether you like it or not, even tho the only death metal thing about them to me is their vocals. The rest of the music is a mix of power metal and thrash, but then again thats what a lot of melodic death is

well sorta not really, Death's brand was the original sound that was more of a heavy thrash sound, untill they experimented with a jazz influence, cryptopsy did the same, BUT they had the newer heavyer faster death metal going with the techinical jazz influence, so you could, but they are just two different bands

Actualy I WAS completely wrong about that list. But death isnt any ware near the best of death metal. I respect Chuck for what hes given the genre and for what hes done musicaly and am saddened at his death. But their are better bands out their. But of course for his time he was a pioneer and the best. And yes cryptopsy is garbage now with that shitty album unspoken king (random screaming and soft singing...sooo talented) but cc is a damn good band. Not best either. Just disregard my comment.

It was coherent. I say that the only true death metal band is Death. Every other band is pretty much classified under a sub genre. Death incorporated them all together because they progressed throughout the years.

CoB is melodic death... The drums, vocals, guitars. Its not like traditional style. Its more of the gothenburg style. Its still death metal. And for waylon i give CC credit for starting it. But like its just so lame that thats all they talk about. I can't tell the difference between one song from another. They sound so alike. (ive only heard a few) But yeah.
