@3:13 he folds the top 2 cards and then turns them both over, collects a distraction card from the top (which used to be at the bottom) and puts it in the middle of the deck. Notice that the whole time he is pushing the top of the deck down or holding the side of the deck with his finger. The card with writing never leaves the top.

I'm sorry, but I think I have to disagree. It's true that Russ Stevens performed a sleight of hand card routine to the same song, but it was basicly based on card fans and card production. Ok, a few cards matched the words of the song used in Russ Stevens routine from 1993, but to me Shawn has just been inspired by Russ Stevens routine and made it his own by filling all the gaps left by Russ Stevens in his routine. So in my humble opinion I call this inspiration. No more or less
