Some guy in a small town play a arcade game that involves a space ship and he does really good and then one day a ufo comes and gets him and takes him to some space ship and he fights against other aliens and then he comes back to his town says something to his girl and leaves again.

Hal Jordan was white, this guy is Hal Jordan. The black green lantern is called John Stewart. Also the first green lantern was Alan Scott and he was white (first appearance in 1940).

They could have made this movie worth the millions of dollars probably spent on it but they chose to have Ryan Reynolds play the green lantern.
