He should sentenced to 17 years, and paroled after ten years. The penalty is so unfair, he deserves some prison time, but he also deserves to get another chance at life in a decade or so.

It's sad that the liberals here aren't protesting those two innocent people getting the death penalty for having commuted no crime. The only time they protest the death penalty is when it's actually a killer getting it.

this man killed 2 college students on their way to start their lives...and you say why does he have to be executed? you completely forget about the 2 dead souls and go right to the living and somehow have pity for him. wtf is wrong with you? would you rather spend $1mil (probably more) in tax money to keep him alive to only die in prison? I really feel sorry for both of these families - but does he REALLY deserve the death penalty? Is he a 'monster' or just someone who made a horrible decision?

I do support the death penalty in very extreme cases, like murdering a child or murder during a rape, just to name a few. Personally, I think this guy could be rehabilitated - the state doesn't really need to execute him.

I think Texas goes WAY too far in the application of the death penalty.

Scroll down to where it says 'prior occupation' - they put NONE!
