  • I thought someone was going to say "O.K.!!!" and he was gonna just inhale that thing! (like the old " treat on the nose" trick)

  • I don't think this is patience as much as the sweet temperament of a Newfie

  • Cute-3

  • poor dog didn't look too happy thinking" sheesh, the things i hav to do to please my owner to get on you tube"

  • The mouse has a great friend and a great refuge for the winter.

Hi Camillo stay well and have a good behaviour with him.

  • lol the dog just goes "sigh...."

  • That's a mighty big flea!

  • Actually nick, newfoundland dogs are actually Highly intelligent dogs, even though they may not look the most intelligent. People often incorrectly judge them as lazy or dumb because of their looks, and their "lack of independance". Newfoundland dogs are always looking to please their masters and don't go off on their own only due to the loyalty they have to their master. Newfoundland dogs are often used for see and eye, search and rescue, haulage, and orienteering purposes.

  • @a0522625 I think they are beautiful and wish I could have one. I don't have the space this type of dog would need and because of allergies the double molt would be a problem..If I had alot of land I would consider one..They are really smart, sweet, devoted...they deserve alot of space..I used to know one..

  • lol stupid dog

  • der typische bettvorleger ggg der leonberger hat auch nicht mehr stress...

aber der kleine flusen auf seinem kopf fühlt sich wahrscheinlich wie im paradies, da kann er nesteln, bis er einschläft xD

  • True friendship right there. Lol

  • haha i love how he doesnt even care that there is a rodenton his face.. XDD

  • LMFAOOOO<3333

  • mouse, rest in peace..

  • hahahahaha

  • omg, when the mouse crawled on his nose, if u look at his eyes, they look like hes concentrating on something

  • The dogs like... "OHHH MAAAAAN, NOT AGAIN"

  • The dog is trying his best to maintain his dignity on-camera as a small furry appetizer crawls all over his face.

But hey, at least the mouse is cute.

  • Okay, you didn't see the part where the dog throws back its head and snaps the mouse between his big jaws. >_<

  • its really obvious that the dog is disgusted. lol

  • "Mouse, you be lucky im not a cat."

  • @kl0ppi rof

  • he is so beautiful

  • The look on his face is so disgruntled, it's cute.

  • My aunt has a brown newfy, she's so gentle which people can't believe just because of her size. Gorge dog = )

  • love newfies, when you go out to the sea/lake with one of these dogs don't be shocked if it'll pull you all the way to the land. They're so gentle and beautiful, probably best dogs under the sun!

  • LOL, we did the same thing with a hamster ones, only are newfie grabded it! woudlnt let go!! we tried everything to get the hamster out his mouth, but no go.

10 min late it came out all wet....but in good shape LOL

  • What a beautiful dog! Thanks for the fun video! :)

  • Dog: "Don't even THINK about taking a crap on my nose buddy!"

  • Hey that dog looks like he isn't too happy - how would you like a mouse crawling all over you. I don't think its funny in the least - funny what people will do for attention.

  • this dogs like who do I have to put up with this shit lol

  • I rescued a tiny kitty that someone just dumped at a fast food resturant. It was early December and very cold. I was concerned about keeping it warm. My Newfy was so intrigued about this little guy, while I was attempting to feed the baby. I told him to sit , put the kitten right in front of him for him to investigate. To my surprise, he picked him up. Curled up in a ball ,kept him, they were partners ever since. The only problem was... he was still picking him up even though he was an adult.

  • CHOP!!!

  • CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have pet rats, and my American Eskimo dog is still getting used to the idea of them crawling on him. This is beyond adorable though! What a good dog!

  • That is so freaking cute:) I love animals

  • CHOMP!!!!!!!

  • That is what I call distraction proof!! ROFL :)

  • That's adorable! I actually had a cat that allowed my hamsters and mice to wander around on it. Some animals are "live and let live."

  • that rat looks like a flea on big newfie o___O

  • lol the rat is checking him for ticks :)

  • 可愛い!!!!

  • awesome

  • Eh....that's a rat, not a mouse. lol Great dog btw. He looks like he has a good temperament but then most big dogs do.

  • @aquamarinebbe: Newfies are know as the "babysitter" ...Type in a search engine for them and you can learn the history of this amazing breed..Saint Bernards are another that are called "The gentle Giant" I have raised St. Bernards and can tell you from experience that they also love children..Both breeds are the guardians of children...Hope this helps..

  • Newfies come in white /black..all black...and all brown.

  • how much do newfies molt as i am trying to help my brother find the perfect dog for my niece and i think that newfies are it but they don't want a dog the shedds a lot do they molt a lot? or is it manegable with brushing? thanks :D

  • @aquamarinebbe Newfies droll and loose hair twice a year.that is a fact of life. ;in some books they even sugest to buy cloth and furniture of the same color than the dog O-o. If you really want to find the perfect dog look on the net, there are some preactical quises where they take in count how much time you have, the place you live in, and for what use you want the dog..then they suggest you more propiated breeds. Ipersonaly love newfies becouse they are lazy and easygoing just like me :D

  • @LadyofHats thank you :D this is helpful and i think a newfie would be a good dog for them because of it's patience and tolerance levels and that it is lazy, like them :D

  • @LadyofHats australiean shepherd cattle mix. best dogs ever. smart as hell

  • @aquamarinebbe is she allergic to the dander? if that was the case I would look into a labradoodle

  • @seahawks2043 no it isnt that she is allergic but if they have a child they wouldn't have that much time to hover everyday :D

  • @aquamarinebbe Get a fish. I hear they hardly ever molt.

  • Newfies molt twice a usually in the spring and mid summer, and start packing around the fall, but the thing is, that they were bread to be an outdoor haulage dog. They are very similar to Bernese in trait behaviour, and similarly If your brother is planning to have a clean apartment, and is not wanting to sweep twice a day, or build a proper outdoor living quarters, then then newfoundland dog isn't a good option.

  • even with the double molt, they will continually loose hair throughout the year, the fact is their were bread to be out doors, but unless you're brother Is willing to settle for a smaller dog, he is going to have hair issues. I would recomend that he looks into a short haired breed. To keep hair to a minimum with a larger dog your brother will just have to set and re-inforce allowable and non allowable areas for the dog. keeping him off furniture and areas that you dont wanted harry.

  • @a0522625 ya your correct, but if you dont have a very large back yard get a small dog, its cruel to keep any dog in doors they should live outside

  • @aquamarinebbe It's actually pretty easy to clean up Newfie fur. I've had 5 Newfoundlands and instead of shedding hairs like most dogs, they drop their fur in clumps

  • Newfoundlands are seriously the best breed you could ever have. The most patient and tolerant breed of dog out there.

  • omg!!!!! my dogs wud never stay still lyk that!!!

  • what dogs tht

  • he is a brown Newfoundland

  • @LadyofHats never would have guessed brown, just kidding nice dog

  • I've never seen a brown Newfoundland till now. It looks like a big ass teddy bear. Lol.

  • cute :D

  • Omg, I was scared he was gonna gobble him dowm when he got close to his mouth! Are the brown ones rare, I mostly see black ones, he's adorable!

  • @isaiahsaurus i think about 90% of newfies are black or black/white

  • @LadyofHats and @isaiahsaurus Newfies in black, brown and black/white are the most common.

  • @LadyofHats no 90% arent black or landseer (black/white) browns arent even close to rare, neither are irish spotted. Silver are common to, but more rare than the other colours. Black ones are more favored becuase there eligable for the AKC, CKC,UKC, and so on so forth, and by most easiest to show, because no marking restrictions. I breed them and show em, and in Canada you can only show. Browns (not irish spotted or brown landseers) black or Landseer.

  • @LadyofHats its the other way around you will find more black and dark brownish then black & white.

But anyway those dogs and Bern's Mountainsdogs are juste the most beautifull and carring dogs you can find.

  • @LadyofHats

    Total zen moment.

  • I think u need to clean your dog

  • "Chillin', mouse on my nose."

  • Oh my goodness, what a beautiful dog! I love the video, thanks for posting :)

  • looks like a teddy bear :) beautiful!

  • Your newfie is beautifullllllllll... absolutely gorgeous :)

  • My dog is fascinated with my rat, but she will lower her head (rats like high places) if the rat tries to get on.

  • Lol. Cute dog.

  • what an angel :D

  • The pet has a pet!

  • AWESOME!

  • That is one patient and calm dog, for them to trust you like that it takes quite a bit training and love.:)

  • Newfoundlands are all that patient & calm. That's why those of us who have them do by choice. They are good with any other pet, even my parrots & cat.

  • meraviglioso!

  • Aww, beautiful newfie! :)

Actually looks a lot like my newf, but I don`t think I`d trust mine with a mouse like that. He in fact killed a poor lil mouse this winter, though acidentally. Believe it or not; he stepped on the mouse, which of course died momenterally and flat like a pancake after the incident :(

  • ahaha this is so sweet ^.^

My dog would savage my mice in one second =(

  • lmao "really? seriously? not funny"

  • I have a brown Newfie as well..they are amazing. Mine is just 6 months now, and she is baaaad as all get out! LOL. Very smart dog, and beautiful. I love her to death!

  • my angry saint bernard would kill this mouse! :O

  • what sort of dog is this?

  • newfoundland, they love swimming

  • that looks exactly like a bear except for the floppy ears

  • im sure thats a rat =S

  • looks like hes about to shake right at the end

  • Silly people, that's not a dog. It's a small bear. :P

  • lol!

  • that dog is fucking awesome

  • OH MY GOD,HE IS SO PATIENT

  • Haha my dog would go insane if i put a mouse on her nose.

  • haha goddamn that dog its just being still like he's have had that mouse all his life traveling on his forehead.

  • Haha the expression on his face...

"I truly appreciate how much you humiliate me on camera."

  • My newfie would love to have a pet mouse. CHOMP.

  • I love your dog!

  • don't do that, let him have fun and not worry about having a mouse on his nose.

  • nice dog

  • messy house.......

  • That is a GOOD dog.

  • I think that dog is about to fall asleep.

  • So cool! If that was my dog that think would be half way through her intestines by now.

  • That dog is awesome.

  • wow! is that a newfie? =) he looks really handsome! what patience...

  • I LOVE Newfoundland dogs. They're like big lovable bears.

  • gyönyörű kutya

  • E' un terranova? Io lo tengo troppo tenero.

  • my dog would never let me do that but he is a terrier so you know there breed to kill rodents so that not such a good thing as weve got my friends hamster staying here and weve got rabbits and the snake eyes up the hamster when ever she has the chanse

  • I could try that, too.....but i think i'll be scared to do it....

  • They are not.

A newfoundland dog doesn't have a hunting instinct at all...

It's more of a gentle servant/ great rescuer then anything else.

If anything, he may like the mouse and drown it in drool. But that's about it.

  • quit it

  • I have a male newf that runs in terror from an adult wild rabbit but one day him and another dog were out playing and stirred up a nest of baby rabbits he stood gaurd over the nest of babys and occasionaly reached down and prodded them with his nose as if to say run you are in danger

    bigjohn:

  • omg that is pretty cool

  • wow Newfies are such good dogs

  • SO cute! the mouse is the same colour as mine :D

And I have never met a newfie I was scared of.

  • If u have a Mouse U should et a RAT a PET rat there SUPER sweeter and do NOT bight, i have never met a Pet rat that has ever bitten any1!
