i think this thing doesn't need new bearings, it probably needed a total overhaul before it could run again properly. new collector rings, a new chopper motor, and bearings... it's a shame people don't repair these relics and instead replace them with pieces of crap like the 2001 and Whelen.

It's obvious this T-bolt is still 75% in good working order. The blower is running smooth, the blower motor is running fine, the rotator is working fine. All that needs rebulit is the chopper motor. $100 bucks to fix. It could even be a bad connection.

But most towns will take a simple $100 dollar fix & turn it into a 3-5K Dollar project.

@LouisvilleTorn8o As of February 2010, this Thunderbolt still stands, so the replacement claim is false if it was stated in 2008. I have no free test days until June, so I will be unable to check until then. More or less, the problem has been fixed.

There's another by a nearby elementary school, one near the O'Fallon 15, an Allertronic near Chiro-Med, and one near another elementary school somewhere in the northeast part of town. I'm uncertain about any other sirens in O'Fallon.
