  • Awesome video. There was nothing like seeing Pedro pitch in his prime at Fenway... You had to be there. You went to the bathroom when the Sox were up to bat. I remember going to see him when I was maybe 17 and saying "ya he was on fire, but he only had 12 strikeouts." LOL we got a little spoiled.

  • Why is Mr.Met on road trips????? Bobby Jenks sucks!!!!!!!

  • question why when he comes back you cheer but when johnny damon came back you booed? damon got you to the world series not pedro

  • Best pitcher to ever to wear a Sox uniform

  • hof here he comes nd number retired by redsox

  • hell yea pedros my favorite pitcher of all time, just cause he was so small and threw heat and had such great command of everything it was art everytime he pitched, no matter wat team he played for you gotta respect this guy

  • 2004*

  • Awesome, I was at this game. Thanks for posting.

  • Nice tribute. Would have much preferred him to return to Fenway this year as opposed to Epstein going after National League hacks like Brad Penny.

  • thanks for sharing, never saw that before, pretty sweet.

  • did pedro end up winning that game?

  • no he pitched very poorly

  • pedro's been a real success since he's gotten off the sox streroid regimen? Big Papi, too?

  • don't spread that brush too thin, buddy. Pedro was starting to fall apart well before the world series wins.

go after papi and manny, sure, but when the hell has Pedro ever looked like he was taking performance enhancing anything?

  • Pal, I hope your not a Yankee fan cause the Yankees have def. been the professional sports team to have benefited the most from Steroids (A-Rod, Giambi, Clemens, Pettite, Canseco, Sheffield, Brown, Justice) shall I go on?

  • steriod regimen ???? have you ever seen this guy he's as soft as a marshmellow and I met him once he's like 5-10 at best. Now pedroia being 5 ft nothing balding and playing like he does.....I can't defend that, even as a sox fan I'm skeptical

  • i was at that game

  • PEDRO EL GRANDE!!!

  • favorite pitcher ever. is it too late for a sox reunion pedro?

  • the most talented pitcher to ever pitch in Major League Baseball, period.

  • Pfft - what the hell are you talking about, really. Just throwing out random insults. "A true scum bag on so many levels"? Because he left the Red Sox? What a great reason to dismiss a person entirely. You're a craphead.

  • the good thing he declined with the yankees

    pedro rocks

  • funny how he came back wearing a uniform with new york on the front eh?

    go mets.

  • I miss pedro.

  • I guess that day as a member of a NY baseball club he could tip his hat and call the Red Sox his daddies.

  • noo... i meant he got rocked that day

  • YEP I FELT BAD FOR THE GUY

  • i love pedro, but he rocked that day

  • im a big yankee fan but it was an honor to see this guy pitch even if it was for boston. he had the rare combination of deception command, impeccable control and mid to upper 90s velocity. he put up numbers from 1997 to 2002 he put up numbers similar to koufax. first ballot hall of famer for sure.

  • Im impressed cause most Yankee fans I know think that only Yankee players are the best to ever live and don't understand true talent in a player. Kudos to you my friend.

  • Red Sox LEVELED us that day. We got swept.

  • he said he was offered money from the Yankees and declined, what happend was ur an idiot.

  • actually he wanted to go to yanks but idk wht happened

  • Pedro Martinez:GREATEST YANKEE HATER EVER AND HERE'S WHY

    1)Played for Dodgers(1992-1993)

    2)Played for Red Sox(1998-2004)

    3)Playing for Mets

    4)Leveled Zimmer.

5)Beat Clemens in Game 3 of the 1999 ALCS.

  • 6)Shook my husbands hand and treated him like an equal human in Denver, 2004, during regular season, before winning World Series that year.

  • Agreed, *tear*. I'm so proud!

  • Boston Fans, and I am one, occasionally, but with vigor, reveal underlying class.

  • Pedro was UNSTOPPABLE from '99 to about '02. Even in 2004, when he wasn't in his prime, he was a key part of the team.

  • he did horrible in this game. what a pitcher carries teams

  • Gotta love Pedro. If he had to go, he at least didn't go to the Evil empire.

  • Retire his number. Best ever.

  • @MGM12 Schilling Too

  • @MGM12 unfortunately, they won't he didnt play 10 years with the team

  • @chicksdigmizunos98 Yeah That sucks, cuz his and nomars should be reitred

  • god bless pedro martinez for what he did at his peak and even after. he was the best of the best.

  • i heart pedro

  • pedro carried boston for all those years, pedro is the greatest redsox pitcher of all time.

  • not exactly, but he was damn good

  • i agree with iceman309, but i`d like you tell me what is the best for you
