The 99999 means that you are not using any gas compared to the millage you are going.. That happens when you are going down a long hill without pushing on the gas... The 999999 means that the millage is over the scale of the meter...
you might want to eventually make yourself an xgauge for say tank mpg so you get a better indication of overall mileage per tank of gas. The manual shows how to do that.
One thing you could try is choose a certian route. check in "trip" for avg MPG on the scan gauge. Then repeat the route with the focus on and check avg mpg again. Just an idea. Thanks John!
