"like" doesnt even begin to describe how I feel about this piece. Wow! A breath of FRESH air...... and beyond. Thank-you Andrew Bird - just heard you very recently!!!
towards the end when you hear more of the clapping beat, it reminds me of radiohead's "15 step," but of course, much more enjoyable just because it's andrew bird and he is lovely :)
@kaylashalaylaaaaa They are both very cool songs. 15 Step is one of my favorite songs by radiohead. Of course part of what makes it so awesome is that it is in 5/4. This obviously is not , but it is awesome in its own way with all of its polyrythms and everything that Bird does right.
Hearing Mr. Bird perform "Plastcities" on Letterman got me hooked. Have been a fan ever since. Great to hear some sweet new music. Very easy to lounge and groove to.
My oh my. The level of sonority and sense of longing I feel when listening to this track is hardly measurable. I'm taken on a journey, lost, and then given a false sense of resolution - only to cycle around again as the track begins anew. Endless.

I have to say, in my opinion, this holds nothing on the live performance they did of the song here v=_DIJWH3Y7xo

I was entirely unfamiliar with Andrew Bird until hearing this song, and I must say, it's really gorgeous.
