I had the privilege to videotape this tune in full at the Gettysburg Festival 2010 --played by the USMC Band , Quantico,Va. silence befell the entire area as our National hymn was played. Semper Fi.

Thank you for this wonderful video of the President's own U S Marine Corps Band. I feel so Proud to be an american when i see those marines marching and Playing so smartly and proud.You can feel the pride in their playing that Imbues a love for our country and all the armed forced of the United States Of America.

Wow!, I remember this from live T.V. in 2004. brought tears to my eyes! talked to my mom about it the next day, (she was a dyed in the wool democrat, who married my dad, a WW2 vet , during the FDR admin.) never cared for Reagan, but she had a great deal of respect for the office, of the president, and was very moved by this also, a lesson we should all remember in these troubled times that we ALL live under!

The Hymn is God of Our Fathers. You can download the recording on their website. The album is "From Fife an Drum." I believe (its been a while and not sure where I read this) the hymn was President Reagan's favorite and it was arranged for him to be performed at his inauguration.
