It sounds to me like the song is less about sex and more using sex as an alegory for everything that makes us "human." We focus far to much on why we are better than all of the other animals, and not nearly enough on just being animals, which is what we are.

The "damn enlightenment" that Kasher hates is no metaphor; it's a direct reference to societal standards which overlay primal sexual urges in the name of morality. Without these standards it would be socially acceptable to tell a person on a first date "I want to have sex" because sex fulfills a primal urge and only moral constructs such as religion teach otherwise.

Conor's newer stuff like monsters of folk and mystic valley put him on par. :) I think it's awesome that they were childhood friends and collaborated with their separate careers.

Just saw these guys open for Alkaline Trio, and this doesn't even sound like the same band! They were an absolute train wreck of noise and garbage! The worst 45 minutes of music I've heard...I couldn't even tell you if they played this, because it was 100 times louder and messier.
