I sick of people bashing on metal bands namely Dragonforce, just because they managed to achieve mainstream success. any real metal fan would be happy that metal songs are now becoming mainstream. I would much rather be able to listen to power metal on the radio than having to use the internet. what if a SA song appeared on GH would you still listen to them? if your going to be such a fucking contrarian as to say that any success a metal band achieves is bad your not a real metal fan.

dragonforce are unnecessary, power metal (i am a huge fan btw) is a limited genre because its definition is so precise. There is only room for so many bands and frankly dragonforce are mirror images of their influences.

DF's first album wasn't in 2006, that was their third album Inhuman Rampage.

Their first album (In which the singing sucked, good guitaring though) was in 2003 plus they released an album last year called Ultra Beatdown.

I'm not having a go at you or Sonata Arctica, I'm just setting the record straight, if anything I like Sonata Arctica more.

@flamingstick i believe dragonforce's first album, "valley of the damned," was also released in 1999. Also, they were somewhat famous before guitar hero (otherwise they wouldnt have been in it). Dragonforce is just fine, live and otherwise, but i do agree that Sonata is far better.
