@gamboni100 There is no doubt Jews lived in the ME long historically. Genetically, jews are close (if not identical) to Arabs, although in the diaspora, many mixed with other people. The thing is, before the Zionist movement began shipping jews off to the Holy Land, (ca. 1850) the majority was Muslim (under Ottoman rule). Many Palestinians are descendents of Jews forced to converse to Islam. Allowing the refugees to return is the morally right thing to do even if it will end the jewish majority.

Some may have been kicked out, others left by their own free will. The Palestinians, however, had nothing to gain by leaving - many were forced, others fled out of fear. The arabs treat the refugees like crap and they still dream of their ancestral ground. Sounds familiar? Many jews had (and have) similar dreams.
