If you listen to the lyrics of the song, it clearly indicates the relationship between Data and Lore and the fact that Lore can't be trusted. First Contact wasn't used.

They are both Androids one with more human qualities programmed in to it's System. data is a star-fleet Officer so he would be more human. lore is evil programmed to destroy human kind and Data had to get ride of his brother how very interesting and sad... A good episode I must say to those who has never watch this episode I Recommend you watch it

Lore was most not programmed to be evil or to destroy human kind. He was programmed to experience emotions. However, he couldn't emotionally handle the rejection of the colonists who he thought were jealous of his abilities. Using his free will he choose to work with the Crystal Entity, his only friend, to destroy them.

I agree! I think Lore is horribly misunderstood by most people. Lore wasnt allowed to have a childhood to learn to sort out his emotions or even a good role model to help him behave and they got out of hand. So Soong in his grand brilliance gives up on him....some father....

I think of it more like this Data & Lore are both very human, just in different ways. Data's that sweet guy who is you best friend, and Lore's that guy you work with who will step on anyone to get what he wants.
