This is one of my very favorite characters in any movie, ever.

Maybe that says a little too much about me, but wow, they did a masterful job bringing Anxiety Disorder / Rage (not against others) into Reality.

It touches my heart, and makes me feel understood. I'm grateful to the folks to took the time to do it right, and to Adam Sandler for being great.

Brilliant party scene. It explains so much about Barry, opening a window into the fucked-up milieu in which he grew up. It reminded me of some Irish-Catholic families I've known, in which dad was an emotionally absent drunk, mom was in denial, and the older kids dealt with their pain by targeting the weakest sibling, i.e., Barry. Barry's sisters, with their displays of love and contempt, treat Barry not like a brother, but as a pet to be tormented for their amusement.
