  • dreadful

  • From a drummers perspective, I find this offensive! But outside of that spectrum, it's really innovative and very creative! Kudos to these guys or girls in this case.

  • NEED THOSE TIGHTS.

  • Kianna really wants to run around the stage... It's gotta be hard for her to contain herself and not just run around and dance everywhere. And then there's Neely, being elegant as usual.

  • Weird... the video quality on this looked a lot better 3 years ago. Does video quality worsen over time digitally???

  • @idontknough actually because of how better other videos look, this looks dull in comparison...this video hasnt change

  • @idontknough No. But if it was taken off of an old videotape and digitized the quality might have been bad to begin with.

  • wow...the tapper perfectly compliments the rest of the band, and is hypnotizing to watch...

  • This made my ass hurt,

  • did anyone notice letterman dropping the cd paper?

  • @chickenkernal thats a record... you know vinyl

  • saw them in detroit... played mostly songs off this album, twas amazing

  • AHHH. I love when they yell in the beginning. Especially the guy. :)

  • OMMAHHAA !!!! i <3 yoouuu hommee towwnnn :)

  • The energy of this is great..!! I love these girls.

  • If they ever play near you, you MUST see them live. I saw them once and it was just one of the most overall joyous atmospheres I've ever been in. They blew up a bunch of balloons (with air, not helium) and threw them out into the audience before they started, and the audience kept the balloons shooting around overhead throughout the entire show. It made the whole thing feel like one big, joyous birthday party for everyone regardless of whether it was their birthday or not. It was so fun!

  • @crescentfreshbret I was actually lucky enough to see them on my birthday! It was fantastic.

  • jamie is the ish

  • saw them almost 5 years ago when they opened up for of montreal. they are awesome. not to mention the girls are beautiful.

  • DO they say "hugged" instead of "humped" in this version??

  • @colostimizer they say 'hunt' in both versions. :) i have the lyrics on the cd cover.

  • pipeable

  • its like the end of "For Your Consideration"

  • i rly love this band. Maybe not the (imo) best music in the world, but its so genuine, so beautiful and just so original.

  • love them! derek is favvvvvvv

    <3

  • saw them at 80 35 in Des Moines, i thought they were the best band there.

  • i wish they had kianna on bass.

  • That was really good. Love the tap dancing as part of the song.

  • Love the tap dancing part of the band. ;)

  • they are so incredible

  • Yeah I found them while looking for bands similar to Regina Spektor=] and they're incredible. Definitely my new favorite. =]]]]]]] Lovelovelove them. Ugh! So effing talented/entertaining/amazing/awesome/inspiring/etc. etc.

  • This band is AMAZING. I found them by chance and I can't stop listening to them. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

  • I agree :O)

  • i love tilly and the walll!!!!!!!!

  • First of all, this is easily one of the coolest bands in the world. Second of all, all 3 of the girls are smokin' hot. Especially Jamie. She just looks too dang good doing her thing. Carry on Tilly!

  • This made me smile. These kids have such energy. <3

  • saw them live. great show.

  • Haha the backup singer was so excited to be near David Letterman.

  • Shes actually the singer also. Shes not back up because shes on the side lol.

  • Oh I didn't know they had three full time singers. Cool.

  • nice tune! would be even better if they could actually pull off the tap dancing thing. it's pretty half-assed as is.

  • Let me know when you get on a late nite TV show. I'll be sure to watch.

  • listen to the song rainbows in the dark. it's catchy, has meaningful lyrics, and jamie's tap in it is amazing.

  • it sounds like each person is playing or singing or dancing to a different song at the same time. it reminds me of band practice warm-ups

  • Yeah, that's what I like about 'em. :)

  • saw them at reading in 2006

  • I want the brunette's job! What could be better than being a tap dancer/percussionist for an awesome indie band?

  • wow I love this band. I first heard beat control on radio 1 and saw them in NYLON... and now I love them. Which album are beat ontrol and pot kettle black on?

  • Those songs are on their new album 'o', but their first album, 'Wild Like Children', is by far their best. The new album is a bit dissappointing, to be honest.

  • I just got the new album and I think it has some good songs... really fun album to listen too.

  • i think bottoms of barrels is great too.

  • pot kettle black - from the album 'o'

  • beat control is just on a single.

  • hahaha, you know i'm noticing that all of the people that show disdain towards Tilly have atrocious taste beyond any reason. or they're from texas.

  • that's quite the stereotype thing to say about texas. thought texans were the narrow minded, guess not.

anywho, this band rocks, loved them from the get go.

    san antonio, tx

  • MY GOD

    THIS IS GREAT!

    Like it.... very good..

  • I love this band. :) They're really original. Also, it's okay if you don't like the band's music- but does that mean you have to leave vulgar comments detailing how much you don't like them? No, not really.

  • Love this.

  • Yay go Tilly ;]

  • They sound better live.

  • yea they do sound better live

Tilly and the Wall was one of the best concerts i've ever gone to.

    they're so much fun!

they had all these pretty colored lights and they threw a bunch of multicolored balloons into the audience

    everyone was dancing

    :)

  • omg no waiss.

    Where did you see them?

I saw them in orlando, at the social.

    :)

  • i saw em in Philadelphia at The First Unitarian Church.

im sooo glad my friend emily dragged me along with her

ive never heard of them before that concert

it was on her birthday :)

i had a buncha songs playing in my head by them today

it was my first day of school and it helped cheer me up!

  • its not the same without the horns :(

  • I saw Tilly in Buffalo yesterday. Their performance was incredible. The Letterman performance is good, but their live show was even better, and by very much. I hope to FSM that they continue to write music and perform... they were meant to!!!

  • saw them live like 4 years ago. they weren't bad, kinda surprising though. much much better than Coco Rosie, who also played that show. Coco sucked ass.

  • Some experimental music is pretty awesome but this doesnt apply... in fact it makes me kinda scared to listen to any other experimental music. But to each his own I guess...

  • the tap is fucking good,as good as a drumset.

the songs are a litte bit spirit squad, like cheers.I like the vibe,I like when kids in the middle of nowhere are making art and a scene for themselves.

  • yeah,amazing song...

  • Fucking LOVE Tilly! I don't care what anyone says. The are amazing.

  • How about all the Tilly "haters" out there f***in' shut the Hell up! That's my cousin's band performing. They have traveled all over the world, made more money in shows, and selling albums then you "haters" have had hot meals! You're all just jealous.

  • how much is that? $5?

    Thought so.

  • F*** off Trees

  • i'm sure you'd like to think so

  • New Album is sounding pretty good too

  • these guys are adorable! how can people hate them? get some taste.

  • at least these guys are different, there's so much indie out there at the moment that all sounds the same and is only released because the band members are good looking and the record companies want to make money off the indie trend.

i have respect for these guys for trying something different and for being successful - at least with people who have taste. (unlike you, 'old bean'.)

  • Yellowcard (emopop) were never indie. Plus, they suck because they lyrics are mopey and shallow. I'd say it's a fair bet that any of the indie you've actually heard of pails in comparison to the stuff you'll never even try. Listen to piebald, dinosaur jr., or the dismemberment plan if you want something louder, but don't complain about something you know so little about.

  • I agree Yellowcard fucking sucks but most indie music has mopey lyrics. Tilly and the wall are just weird. I'm goin to see them tonight in Houston at the Engine room. Looking forward (to getting drunk).

  • If you condemn them for being "weird," you are obviously too closeminded to enjoy Tilly. Figures, for a Texan.

  • Theeaefusesnoriver is a total moron. You should see some of the other comments that douche has posted.

  • this is coming from someone from the state that executes the mentally ill. wow.

  • "too closeminded [...] Figures, for a Texan."

    lol wut

  • AWESOME! they are so fucking fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kind of bizzare to me how much hate this is getting. I love Tilly and The Wall...weird.

  • fucking gayy

  • Not my favorite song by them, but anyone who uses a tap dancer instead of drums forever has MY heart.

  • fucking FUCK

  • god damn they suck ass *Blasts hair metal instead*

  • Presenting a different instrumental aesthetic doesn't make up for lack of compositional talent.

  • Godfuckingshitdamnithellbitch....puh.. I've really lost my train of thought.

I believe it was vaguely going to agree with you in such a way that requires copious amounts of swearing.

  • agreed. this is retarded.

  • SHITTY BAND

  • a little loose and wet .. :D

  • anwesome!

  • The last time he says the band's name, it almost sounds like he says "Kelly and the wall"

  • wasN'T WORTH MENTIONING. FAGGOT

  • cool

  • I saw them live it was sick

  • I met Kianna, Derek and Neely after a gig in York, UK, they are amazing people and they are so talented and original in a great way!

  • I am glad their voices sound the same live as they do recorded...unless they have a realtime voice mod for letterman...doubt it though.

  • Warhola1...You're a hater.

Tilly and the wall are fucking sick.

    :)

  • My good old taps! Ahh, the sweet sound of feet to the ground! Pander to me!

  • first time i heard tilly was this show. i fell in love. i'm going to marry neely.

  • nice! at last something different! two thumbs up

  • nice! at last something different! two thumbs up

  • they rocked letterman!!

  • it's so cute how they use the tapdancing as an instrument.

  • DID I BLOW IT?

  • you fell into it.

  • Nice video, they are great...but Letterman sux!

  • well that's cuz she's dancing and being an instrument.

  • oh how i love them soooo

  • khianna's married?!

  • what to they say at the start?

when the waters cold? we dont have a war?

  • i hear ," Raise your palms up. T-I-L-L-Y"

  • thanx! haha i hear it now :D

  • they are actually saying 'wake your mothers up'

    mmhmm.

  • they were awesome when i saw them in mpls with bright eyes and cocorosie.

  • They are from Saddle Creeek?? Wow they are amazing! Omaha Rocks!

  • Love, love, love this song.

  • This performance is awesome!

  • dude they are so amazing live.

  • This is weird. I'd never heard of them before today. I went to high school with Derek and Nick. I remember having an 8th grade art class with Derek.

  • Very good. Some music sounds cool. Some just sounds cute.

  • legends

  • DUDE!! Neely is my cousin!! She is the Bomb! I Love you Neely!!!

  • I grew up in omaha

    dude you dont even know,

i grew up with tilly and the wall.

    they are fucking dank. :]

  • the "REC" at the bottom of the screen is probably from when the guy or girl or whoever recorded this on their TV, i wouldnt call the "REC" a sign of this being pre-recorded

  • which one is neely jenkins?

  • The girl in the middle.

  • Neely is the the blonde with long hair

  • I honestly really like this band :)

  • Old Letterman could've at least learned his lines!

  • The actual tapping ends up sounding a bit weak - not enough depth to carry over the other instruments

  • Fuck you fake ass niggas who diss this band!!! They are da real playas!!! You weak ass bitches!

  • I feel compelled to answer the typical shit talker below, but rather than oblige him, i'll respond by saying i love htis band and video

  • I just saw them a few nights ago, they put on an awesome show.

  • is it just me but in some angles kiana looks like debbie harry

  • Mind-blowingly awesome!

  • I love this song!!!! I think they are really pretty too.

  • that guitar sounds like shit! it sounds like some shitty bullshit guitar! yeesh!

I guess they couldn't find enough people to duplicate the album version's lush instrumentation??

I guess I'll cancel any plans I had to see them live

  • you'll miss out then. I've gone to three Tilly shows and they're always so much fun. They sound a lot better at the actual show

  • you do realize this is recorded, right?

  • Judging from... everything, I'm not so sure. I mean, alot of letterman acts are, true enough, but this just doesn't sound that way.
