Hi, I've ust recently bought my iPod Nano 3rd Gen. I found out videos need to be, .MOV(quicktime) or .MP4. When I converted my film to .MP4, I got it working in iTunes, and when I tried to upload onto my iPod it said, this type of video can't be put on this iPod.

ah yes i wondered this too but the reason is beacuse the ipod's hard drive uses about 400mb to run the user interface and all the operations which make it like it is. if you read your total space on itunes it says 7.4 gb for mine (8gb) and around 3.4-6 on a 4gb ipod nano

Also if you would like, you could use the classic as an external hard drive. Sort of like carrying a flash stick, but 80GB instead! This Nano can be used as a drive as well, but it wouldn't be that great since you would have it full of music anyways. Don't get me wrong, that red Nano is pretty cool.
