  • In most factory rounds, the 357 Mag and 10mm are loaded to be about equal in actual power. In hand-loading the 357 is by far the most powerful as it has about 21% more case capacity than the 10mm. Where the 10mm and 45 ACP are clearly pistol rounds, the 357 Mag, due to its capacity and the pressure levels it operates at is really more of a mid-range rifle round than pistol round. From a 24" rifle, top 158gr loadings in the 357 can hit 2200fps, close to 7.62 X 39mm performance!

  • Never fired a 10mm before, I thought they would be very similiar in size to the 45 acp. I personally prefer the 9mm for the cost vs amount you can carry and I started carrying the Hornandy Personal Defense JHP. I'd like to get another 45acp but I'm all stocked up on 40 and 9mm. Hopefully I'll be getting a Taurus 605 polymer 357 tomorrow, hopefully.

  • ya I say buy what u can afford to shoot! Im a .357 mag man myself but no point in having a gun you can hardly afford to shoot! lets face it a guy with a .22 LR that shoots almost daily is alot more dangerous then a guy with a $1,100 kimber hes put 50 rds threw ! marksmanship is the only caliber you need to worry about!

  • Come the apocalypse, the Glock 20 is on my chest rig. Of the two .50 Deagles I've fired, both couldn't cycle a full magazine without failure. Not to mention they weigh so much it'd might as well be a rifle. The Glock 33 .357sig would be my backup. Both with night sights. And a NAA Pug for point-blank encounters, of course.

  • its funny, the smallest of the 3 is the most powerful

    10mm ftw!

  • The 10mm is beast. Hell, people are known to use these againts some big game. I'm either getting a 10mm or 357mag next.....or both :)

  • All nice rounds!

  • yes well, uummm, hunh.outside of what seems to be a love hate relationship between some individuals from san francisco, you buy your gun and you take your chances.in the heat of battle whether on main street or iraq.shot placement can be a little iffy due to adrenalin and blood pumping furiously.this is why i carry a glock 20 w/a 15 round mag.if you hit someone in the leg w/a 10m/m, expect there to be serious DAMAGE. YES I KNOW THERE ARE OTHER BULLETS THAT WILL REPLICATE THIS.GIMME A 10M/M

  • Just because im a meener, louder, sumabitch than you are doesbt make me a pussy. It makes you delusional cocksucker because you cant take the truth.

  • @GuerrillaFF The truth? truth is your a fag who loves the cock, just another keyboard pounding pussy trolling around you tube running his mouth because in the real world, the one that shuns faggot basement dwellers youd get pwned bitch, now that makes you a pussy, and a smooth ass pimp like myself LOOOOVES the pussy!

  • @welderhondadrew i think you're just the asshole who thinks everyone else's opinion is wrong and yours a right...

    P.S. cut your fingernails

  • @gookmarathon I think your right.....because you just gave your opinion and i think your stupid ass is definitely wrong,P.S quit talking shit on you tube while hiding behind your keyboard.....tough guy....

  • @welderhondadrew thanks for the compliment.

  • @GuerrillaFF you both are fags for fighting using youtube act your age for christ's sake

  • You idiots need to stop praising the 10mm so much. There is nothing that a 10mm can do that a .357 cant. And as a defensive round (i.e for humans) the 10mm, .357, and the .45 are not more effective than one another. U still always need a shot to the CNS for the mythical "One Shot Stop"

  • @GuerrillaFF thanks for the words of wisdom, the loudest motherfucker in the room is the weakest and you sir are a loud sumbitch

  • @GuerrillaFF how about a standard 15 round capacity? its the most powerful of the 3 and it has the highest capacity potential, it speaks for itself

  • Buffalo Bore

    Heavy .41 Magnum Ammo - 230 gr. Keith (1,450 fps/M.E. 1,074 ft. lbs.) - 50 Round Box

    Heavy 357 Magnum Ammo - 180 gr. Hard Cast LFN-GC (1,400fps/M.E. 783 ft. lbs.) - 20 Round Box

    Heavy 10mm Ammo - 180 gr. Jacketed Hollow Point - J.H.P. (1,350fps/M.E. 728 ft. lbs.) - 20 Round Box

  • @GuerrillaFF This is a ballistics debate son.

  • Be realistic your 10mm loads will never be as powerful as a full .357 load. It will come close but not equal. And you should not even mention the .41 magnum. It makes the 10mm look like a .32 in energy and velocity.

  • @GuerrillaFF take a look at a ballistics table befor you run your ignorant mouth, the 10mm is more powerful than the 357. and less powerful than the 41. Mag

  • they're all bad when mushroomed in your chest...

  • any concerns about collateral damage w/ the 10mm as a carry round? i mean if i shoot somebody center mass wouldn't it be safe to assume that whatever's behind the guy will be hit too? OR do they make defense rounds that are lighter for this very reason? just curious.

  • @podaddy13 yessir Glaser ammo has rounds just for that

  • you are one sexy ass redneck ...just my *opinion ;)

  • you cant go wrong with the .45

  • .45acp is my favorite round but I would not give up my 10mm for anything, beast of a round with the good loadings.

  • welder, ive always wondering about a .357 if it would be any good as the bullets are usually light, really, a .357 is just a long 9mm.......

  • @gshdrums a .357 is a beefed up .38,i love .357 its a beast if it came in a semi platform (im not talkin .357 sig guys) i would prefer it over .45 acp

  • @welderhondadrew Coonan .357. A 1911 that holds 7+1 of .357 Magnum.

  • @jerseyemt nice,thats pretty sweet i want one now

  • @welderhondadrew Why not a 10mm than it is more powerful than .357 mag. and My colt delta elite 1911 holds 8+1, .357mag. would be a downgrade, not to mention it would make a really long handle. 10mm has it beat in so many ways, other than revolvers available. there are 10mm revolvers though. Don't get me wrong one of my favorite pistols/one that I shoot most is my smith model 19, I love it and the .357 round! but the 10mm is one of the best round available! my Glock 20 is 15+1 flush mag.

  • @gshdrums .357 is about the bullet size of a 9mm but don't forget velocity. 45acp is more powerful than a 9mm but a 357 magnum is more powerful than a 45acp, 10mm is even more powerful than a 357 magnum. a 10mm falls between a 357 magnum and a 41 magnum in power, both of them good for hunting most large game, 10mm being in the middle, available in a polymer combat pistol with double stack mags. That makes 10mm my favorite pistol cartridge for concealed carry and open carry in bear country.

  • I like the 45acp, it's good to me; but wanna try the 10mm!

  • "my feeble little mind fucked it up" - epic line

  • The 45acp rules. But, the 10 mm was designed to give better performance than a 9mm, and higher velocities than the 45acp. I think they did that, and then some...I love my 44mag,45acp... 10mm is a damn good round, i am looking for a nice solid gun in this caliber.

  • You ever had any problems with that Blazer Ammo?

  • @Privat3Kag3 Negative sir,my only gripe with it is its aluminum so i cant reload it BUT i shy from it anyway because ive heard of the ftf,my usage has been limited but in fairness not problematic it could have better accuracy/drop but for cheapo ammo what do you expect

  • @welderhondadrew Thanks man.

  • @welderhondadrew my Kahr PM40 would always jam up with Blazer ammo :-/

  • @moderndayknight54 Imagine the poor smuck out there that doesnt know that and hes running around with a mag of blazer for defense, blazer should put a warning on their damn label like a pack of smokes "Warning inferior blazer ammo may leave you on the losing end of a shtf scenario, side effects include but are not limited to FTF,stovepiping, looking stupid at the firing rannge,a false sense of security, wasted money, death and other serious 'oh shit' situations"

  • @welderhondadrew lol No kidding. nothing worse than pulling a gun out on someone in defense and dying cuz your mag jammed on account of shitty ass ammo. glad I only bout 100 rnds of it.

  • @phatzsz thats muh booger picker asshole stop trolling muh videos

  • hmm, lets see.... getting shot by a 40, 45, 10, 357? if i had a choice i dont think i would be happy either way

  • Attention 10mm fanbois. The 460 rowland rapes the 10mm. The 45 acp is a larger piece of lead than the 10mm. You can not convert 10mm's to the mighty 460 rowland. You can only convert 45's to 460 rowland. This means, the 10mm loses to the 45 in every possible way. The debate is over, 45 acp wins. Get over it.

  • @EliteAmericans no the .45 does not win in every possible way,if you have to convert it to make a stronger round then it no longer is a .45 acp head to head 10mm owns .45 stop trying to say if i throw a fucking turbo in my jetta itll beat your malibu grow up man keep it on point ,how bout the .50 ae? it rapes your 460 rowland it wins hands down debate is over your .45 is not the king, hows that for blowin smoke up your ass .45 fan boi

  • @welderhondadrew what's that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of how massive my 45 rounds are. Keep putting an extra firecracker be hind the bisexual .40 short and weak, you will still feel insecure about your tiny little round.

  • @EliteAmericans Dude...I am a ballistic expert...I do it for a living....The 10mm has far better stats, shoots flatter, hits harder......get over it....I'm not saying to go buy one, but admit when your .45 has lost. It doesn't carry enough powder in the case to launch that caliber properly. However, the .45 is enough to stop any man, and the rounds are available readily and cost less. Facts are facts, I love the .45 as well, but I know when there is something better out there.

  • @fuseal1 You are? The 10mm shoots flatter no doubt. . A 10mm hits harder then a .45 acp in how a 30/06 hits harder then a .308. A 10mm will penetrate and expand only slightly more then a comparable .45 acp JHP. If you don't believe me, I can give you some links to gel tests. I would take the .45 acp over the 10mm. The extra muzzle blast, recoil, price, is not worth it in my opinion. Not saying the 10mm is a bad cartridge, if you like it, then go for it. Doesn't matter what others think.

  • @esh325 Cool...I can't argue with that. The problem with this round is the cost and readily available ammo. You really need the right bullet to gain the performance of this round. Double Tap Ammo has the load appropriate for this caliber, however when you talk cost, it may not be worth it to some. At least you can walk into any sporting goods store and get a top performer in .45, can't do that with 10mm. However shot placement is the key in any situation regardless of caliber.

  • @esh325 the .32acp is more practical than all the above mentioned cartridges. The .32 RULES.

  • @welderhondadrew I bet EliteAmaricans carries a fucking s&w 500 magnum

  • @EliteAmericans Even if I was weird looking, i could just put a 45 in front of my face and no one could see me.

  • @EliteAmericans I bet you carry a s&w 500 magnum

  • @MrJfpb I carry a multiple launch rocket system artillery battery. I neutralize threats from 50 miles away and lay waste to the grid.

  • @EliteAmericans how's the recoil?

  • lol if you have 2 hands to spare the 8MM!! Priceless

  • i carry a 357 Glock and a 45 spring field op the glock for when the spring field jams up but truely sweet little round the 10mm is a sick sweet amazing round for carry

  • Got a Glock 20 last weekend, and its a hoss. I love all 3 of these Chamberings though, cant go wrong with any of them.

  • 10mm has a much sharper recoil than that big 'ol .45 but of course it's way faster also...Cool video man! happy shootin dick heads!

  • I have a 45 and a10mm got to say the 10mm is a much better round

  • @MrTurkeybird09 You are wrong. Get over it. Penis.

  • @EliteAmericans no body mentioned the 460 the 10 mili has better balistics than the 45 fact, get over, you weird looking puck(thats fuck with a p)

  • i like your preffered 3. I shoot them too.

    Colt 1911, DW .357, G20 10mm.

  • @japimportssuck Yessir,Nice round up you have

  • @welderhondadrew huh to your info at the bottom think the .45 win. mag. would also be hehe

  • Why did you post this when there are several other vids which serve the same purpose where the person in the video doesn't sound like a country bumpkin waiting for the short bus to pick him up for special ed?

Why would you enable comments to this vid if you get sand in your vag when someone tells you you're an asspipe? The truth hurts.

  • @commonsense369 Why do you go around and troll?because your a keyboard tough guy who gets off running his cock sucker from the safety of his mommas basement and doesnt have the balls for a real confrontation so his outlet is trolling on you tube...you sir are a fag go fuck yourself

  • @commonsense369 you are a dipshit! obviously you don't have what your screen name implies. I think your dad fucked the wrong hole on your mom. He came in her asshole and 9 months later out popped a terd. I agree with welder. I'm sick of the trolls running their mouths. I bet you wouldn't be running your mouth face to face. That is for damn sure.

  • @LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 Fuckin keyboard tough guys man

  • .357 mag does the job for me.

  • Just can't beat a glock 20 with 15rds of 10 mil. It's just a beast and nothing short

  • thank u for this video...god damn searching all over the place for a side by side

  • @BlueProject right on glad i could help

  • .357 all day

  • 8mm mauser? hell yeah!

  • @TalentedTen well like i said i was just giving some visual as to the difference of the rounds for whoever might not have handled these particular ones for most guys its common knowledge but you wouldnt believe the questions i get asked i was just puttin some material out there

  • i learned something today 10mm ammo is real!!!!!

  • @BIGCAMLABELLA21 10mm is a fun round and has become one of my favorites, the ballistics show more kinetic force in the 10mm round than a .45,notice the bigger primer most people dont catch on to that they just look at that fat lovely .45 slug ;)

  • @welderhondadrew there is no such thing as kinetic force, there is kinetic energy (kg*m^2/s^2 or Joule) and there is force (kg*m/s^2 or Newton). ballistics use kinetic energy but there are two types, muzzle energy and impact energy. from there it really comes down to the ammo you buy or reload. i would say on average, the 10mm does have a higher muzzle energy and impact energy.

  • @welderhondadrew if you want a short explanation why its because the 10mm round is a higher velocity round than the .45 but a smaller mass, when taking kinetic energy, you will notice the velocity is squared meaning that a small increase in velocity will be more meaningful than a small increase in mass, so in the end, the 10mm comes out on top.

  • @onlyinajeeprubicon Well TY for stopping by and correcting my grammar and the science lesson.I am familiar with the specifics but did not feel the need to got into the exact science of the round/rounds but you seem well educated in the field of ammunition's,ill see to it to stop by your page for more educating on the matter

  • it's nice to see different rounds side by side. Anyone who can look at a 45 next to a 9mm and choose the 9mm to defend there life with, is disturbed. Great vid man I like the side by sides.

  • 9mm Para Rules!!

  • @alexandra1940 Your the man buddy. I just bought a Glock 17 9x19 and love it. I am also going to buy the Glock 20 10mm. I was a Beretta man, but now more. I am a Glock man now.

  • @fieldx200 cant go wrong with a Glock bro, rock on!

  • @welderhondadrew I hear ya dude, there is just something about a glock that gives you a stable piece of mind.

  • thanks for the side by side comparison!

  • @elmajiko420 Right on, thanks for watching

  • Tom Grisham (I think I spelled that right) has been in the gun world since the 70's, has cart blanch with gun manufactures. He has a 10MM in a 1911! Not bad at all. GOTO guntalktv dot calm and he can better tell ya about sizes ect. I would'nt mind having a commander size 1911 in 10 mm. Just a lil factoid about the 10mm. Cool vid bud!

  • @Rock3t138 Knighthawk customs has a 1911-10mm thats wicked but youll get sticker shock from it,they got some sweet 1911's
