I would thing the deer would get cold with out it's furr coat on!! Would shears not be less pain full?

I've never seen a roe or fallow deer, only whitetails. I'm sure the same principles apply.

if you use your hands from the top down you will skin it faster and deer,goat,rabbit,pig,all have some lillt piece of fat that makes the meat taste funny in portuguese its called bedum

Have you seen the guy from Scotland's deer skinning dvd ? he must be the fastest deer skinner in the world, doing a red deer carcus in under 1 minute and a roe deer in 25 secs, he dosen't even use a knife for the roe, amazing !!!
