I remember singing this along with other Adiemus songs this brings back memories of my parents not turning up on the night of the performance to watch it as they were too busy XD. Thanks so much for uploading this :')
the other give away that its sacred music is the title of the song. What do you think a titinabulum actually is? its not just a fancy name. Its a form of Sanctuary Bell, that a Christian Liturgical Instrument, hence the Bell at the begining of the track, the name is Roman Catholic in origin. It was an outside bell to warn the faithful of an Episcopal Approach, like the Sanctuary Bell warns the faithful the service is about to begin.
It probably has religious conitations in the mind of its composer, considering that he has writen further two settings of the Christian Mass, one of which being a Requiem. Modern Composers dont do that without having some sympathy towards Christianity. Nevermind the singer, its the composer who dictates meaning, and even if the words are meaningless, it sounds like tribal worship music that cant really be disputed
the beginning of this song makes me imagine myself being blind, then, jesus healing me and being able to see the world for the first time with my own eyes.

"Backing video to live performance" ? What live performance? Shitty ass live performance about dead people and graveyards? This is an insult to Adiemus.
@noizereduction no offense, but if you like this music as i do, you should choose your words more wisely because I consider this music to be somewhat sacred regardless of the video
It's not "sacred" at all. Miriam Stockley and the London philharmonic made music. It's not a worship ceremony, so I don't need to watch my words, I'm a classical composer as well and I speak as a musician. We live in a free country and what you choose to worship is not my damn problem, so shut up. You can choose to worship leprechauns for all I care. I don't give a shit about what you think it's "sacred", and it's not my business.
Oh, and for your personal information, M Stockley (and probably most of the people involved in the writing and performance of this song) are atheists. If you think it's "sacred", well, too bad for you!
I am French and I am in a music school, and this evening, I made a concert, and sang me it ADIEMUS, these singings(songs) are really pleasant to sing! And then, I confirm: they are well and truly invented words! PS: I do not indeed speak about English, I use an on-line translator X_X.
i performed this some... 6? years ago. I LOVE THIS SONG. it was actually really fun to sing. but we were kind of really VERY bad and when these guys sing it sounds HELLZ COOL.
I've sung this song and I can confirm the words feel wonderful to sing too because they just flow so easily. It's very easy to put passion into this one I found.
wow, look at that! I already knew (and loved) the song, but together with this dramatic video footage it's simply fantastic! How did you do that? are you a pilot?
Snag this with my school at vodafone hq with some disabled kids, and although the song bored me a bit, it sounded really good, especially the bit at the end when everyone sings different bits. xx
im doin this for our school consort at knox academy. it is gna be sooo good because it is the girls choir and the junior choir and the orchestra and it is gonna be great!
truly amazing! The shots are so awe inspiring that they make me want to be a photographer. I don't care for the money, i just want to capture these moments. The song itself is simply stunning! I have got to find their CD.
the begin is beautiful and sad with the soldiers's graves
