Matthew 7:21 shows that many Christians who have done much will still be condemned to hell because they trusted in what they can do, than what Jesus has done. They all asked, did we not do this, did we not do that? But Jesus says, depart from me, I never knew you. Repenting isn't works, it's giving up and trusting in Christ. There is more to Matthew 7 then "Judge not lest you be judged." Right after that Jesus said to FIRST remove the plank/log from your own eye, THEN you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brothers. That basically is to judge yourself FIRST, to be sure you blameless, THEN help your bro out. I honestly dont understand how you guys are talking bad about atheists. God says judging is wrong, and if you are Christians you wouldn't be acting like this, I'm a Christian and I judge too sometimes but I don't just jump on the band wagon and repeatedly put someone down.
Kenlee, You're taking the "Judge not lest you be judged" verse out of context. In fact, there are places in the New testament where we are commanded to Judge. Indeed, how could Paul have ever written Romans 1 had He not been judging? We are to be shrewd and discerning. Atheists do not disbelieve the existence of God, they suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Rom 1:18) and hate the true God.
The most loving you can do for an Atheist is share the gospel and pray.
@Kenlee96 God never said it was bad to judge....He just warned us to be careful not to become hypocrites, hence why Jesus said Judge Not lest you be judged, for the same measure you use to judge you shall be judged with. We as Christians actually have the right to a righteous judgement.
Christians, all we can do for the non-believers is to pray for them. Nobody can stop a prayer. Let us all ask God for them to open their eyes and see their Father who art in heaven.

Is it sad that I'm still a fairly new christian (im 13 btw) and I can't read comments on christain videos because there's people out there who'll try to make me an unbeliever? I think so.
When i dont believe something exists, i spend no time worrying about it. Take the boogeyman for instance. I sleep like a baby at night, knowing that I don't have to worry about the boogeyman. I don't give any thought about it, nor do I have to convince others that he doesn't exist. Could it be that these atheists truly believe in God deep down on their hearts? I think maybe so. You know, it always amazes me how many atheist comments pop up on Christian videos. I can't even watch an awesome worship video like this without seeing all these foolish comments. It seems strange to me, if these atheists really know that there is no God, then why do they spend so much time trying to disprove his existence? For me, when I am sure that something doesn't exist, I don't spend any time worrying about it, and I certainly do not feel the need to make sure others know it doesn't exis

While non-christians are blinded by the lies of the enemy, by God's grace, we know the truth, the reality of Heaven and Hell. I don't think there is one true religion. The correct religion is the one that brings you closer to god by whatever you call him or even by how many gods you believe comprise the whole. And if you don't believe in god, like myself, that your lack of faith brings you closer to your fellow man for your belief in the awsome unending ability of man to love and the power we posess spiritually, mentally, physically and collectively.
Just thought of this song again today after hearing about a suicide of a well known former football player here in the UK. Having been on a tribute page to the player, it was pretty appalling to see people attacking him for how he died, and showed that some people really do not have any understanding at all. Just needed to hear this song again cos seeing some of those comments just got to me a bit really.

i went to a church called Lakewood for the first time ever...and he was there today. I never liked gospel or religious music but...He changed that now<3 he is amazing!
Jesus IS God, and the wonderful thing is no matter what you believe it doesn't change a thing. Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Pagan, caring and indifferent, it doesn't matter. This was rehearsed an eternity before any of us were born. What's understood is not understood. The God of the universe endures, not because of who we are, but because of who he is. The purest form of love does not try to defend itself. Believer or not, he is your Lord.
Why does everyone have the urge to fight on here?! You probably would not have the courage to say these things to someone in person! And yes we all have different beliefs! Some may not have as good of intentions as what we may think or they might, but theyre still God's creation and owe them respect and to treat them with the love Jesus would do himself! Our mission as Christians is to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ so before you do ur actions u do, think about it: WWJD?
As christians yes we should pray and talk to god about everything, but we also need to then go out and do the work Jesus showed us how to do. Build schools where they're needed, volunteer where volunteers are needed and pray when people need prayer. One pair of hands can to a massive amount, but supported by prayer i believe that they can do a lot more.
Although i believe that prayers are answered, i strangely really like your saying 'One pair of hands accopplishes more than a thousand praying'. When Jesus came he didn't just sit around praying, he went out to every type of situation, healing people, showing love to the unloved, turning tables in temples whilst the priests allowed criminal activities to happen unquestioned.. Throughout the whole bible we're constanly reminded that laziness is useless.

That's not to say that what they sometimes do is evil, I'm just saying things like where does it say in the Bible to pray to Mary. I don't claim to be Protestant or Catholic. In every branch of Christianity there are some strange things. I don't like the modern definition of the word "Christian". Too often people use it as a mere club membership.

@The1DenimDan Praying Mary is not evil. The Catholics dont 'Worship' Mary. They know that because of her relation to Jesus, she can 'Intercede' for them. Most Catholics don't understand New Birth or spirit baptism. So unless they are called by Jesus or seek Him, they will not 'know Him personally'. There is false preachings of God as one who judges severely and few of God who loves. So many are scared of Him and prefer to ask Mary to ask Him... Pray that God reveals his infinite love to them
@Gaillimh22 It says in the Bible I identify myself in christ and in him alone. Mary was a women of God that followed his will just like the rest of us that followed God's will and I don't have my friends and pastors intercede for me because I can boldly come before Christ and pray to him. Mary was not perfect, Christ was and we come through him to the father.
Why don't you ask God to tell you the truth about all this? I was brought up a Catholic. I didn't understand the sacraments and became opposed to them. Even more so after I received baptism in the Spirit. Though I'm starting to realise how blessed this Church was. So sad that all the spiritual meaning was lost. When I'm not sure abt smth ask Jesus. I could do without confession, but some ppl can't for 'they don't know how to pray'. How sad is that?Also Jesus REALLY is present in the Eucharist!

The term Christian is first used when some of those who belong to the Way set up a church in Antioch. Christian was actually a word used to insult the disciples of Jesus Christ. I'm not referring to just to the original Twelve Disciples. Any person who believes Jesus Christ is the only way is a disciple of Him. Not once in the Bible do I hear of Catholics

I'm atheist and enjoy this song, christian or not. I'll just say, to non believers like me it could also be a love song as most religious songs are to show love to their creator.

"The cross is foolishness to those who are perishing..." and this whole song is about the message of the cross and Jesus' love for us! If I were not a believer, I probably wouldn't like this song very much either. :) lol. This song played at a YoungLife camp I went to and everytime I listen to this it reminds me of it. So many new relationships between Christ and highschoolers were created one night during the camp. We had just heard an amazing speaker talk, and then told us to all go outside in the moonlight and have a quiet time with Christ. Looking up at the sky, we all saw shooting stars. You know, it always amazes me how many atheist comments pop up on Christian videos. I can't even watch an awesome worship video like this without seeing all these foolish comments. It seems strange to me, if these atheists really know that there is no God, then why do they spend so much time trying to disprove his existence? While non-christians are blinded by the lies of the enemy, by God's grace, we know the truth, the reality of Heaven and Hell. Shouldn't that make us care even MORE that these people would come to know the love of the Father? :) Instead of wishing they would leave, shouldn't we pray for them?

Just thought of this song again today after hearing about a suicide of a well known former football player here in the UK. Having been on a tribute page to the player, it was pretty appalling to see people attacking him for how he died, and showed that some people really do not have any understanding at all. As christians yes we should pray and talk to god about everything, but we also need to then go out and do the work Jesus showed us how to do. Build schools where they're needed, volunteer where volunteers are needed and pray when people need prayer. One pair of hands can to a massive amount, but supported by prayer i believe that they can do a lot more.

Although i believe that prayers are answered, i strangely really like your saying 'One pair of hands accopplishes more than a thousand praying'. When Jesus came he didn't just sit around praying, he went out to every type of situation, healing people, showing love to the unloved, turning tables in temples whilst the priests allowed criminal activities to happen unquestioned.. Throughout the whole bible we're constanly reminded that laziness is useless.

It's just not true. There are amazing Christians, and there are people who don't act anything like Jesus, who claim they are. That's not to say that what they sometimes do is evil, I'm just saying things like where does it say in the Bible to pray to Mary. I don't claim to be Protestant or Catholic. In every branch of Christianity there are some strange things. I don't like the modern definition of the word "Christian". Too often people use it as a mere club membership.

I try to keep a more literal of the Bible, and it just puzzles me when people say Catholics were the first Christians because no where in the Bible was that ever stated. @The1DenimDan Praying Mary is not evil. The Catholics dont 'Worship' Mary. They know that because of her relation to Jesus, she can 'Intercede' for them. Most Catholics don't understand New Birth or spirit baptism. So unless they are called by Jesus or seek Him, they will not 'know Him personally'. There is false preachings of God as one who judges severely and few of God who loves. So many are scared of Him and prefer to ask Mary to ask Him... Pray that God reveals his infinite love to them

Mary was a women of God that followed his will just like the rest of us that followed God's will and I don't have my friends and pastors intercede for me because I can boldly come before Christ and pray to him. Why don't you ask God to tell you the truth about all this? I was brought up a Catholic. I didn't understand the sacraments and became opposed to them. Even more so after I received baptism in the Spirit. Though I'm starting to realise how blessed this Church was. So sad that all the spiritual meaning was lost. When I'm not sure abt smth ask Jesus. I could do without confession, but some ppl can't for 'they don't know how to pray'. How sad is that?Also Jesus REALLY is present in the Eucharist!

@mrpilot102 A Catholic will easily tell you that, but if you read Acts you will find Catholicism had nothing to do with the first Christians. The term Christian is first used when some of those who belong to the Way set up a church in Antioch. Christian was actually a word used to insult the disciples of Jesus Christ. I'm not referring to just to the original Twelve Disciples. Any person who believes Jesus Christ is the only way is a disciple of Him. Not once in the Bible do I hear of Catholics

Having done the research myself, I can tell you that the first Christians were NOT Catholics; the Catholic Church came about at the same time as the Orthodox Church at the Council of Nicea.
