Tried to play this once, but some of the players were such dickheads and took it so seriously I stopped going after one training session. Being yelled at for giving away the Frisbee on the first time I ever played the sport was not my idea of fun. Pity because it looks like a fairly cool sport.

@Doniedaff You could just look for a less competetive pickup league to avoid such an intense environment. once you get good you'll only want to play in super intense leagues

To be honest there was nothing particularly competitive about the league, we are talking Ireland like, I don't even know if we have a league. Just one or two pretentious assholes who put me right off.

Why do people get so sensitive when people spike the disc after scoring? It makes the game more intense which is something this sport needs a little more of in my opinion

@APUltimate When you spike the disc, it taco's it and ruins that disc and then they have to get a new disc, make sure its an official blah blah blah, just delays games

CBS college sports has college nationals every year. Other than that, I don't think you'll find ultimate anywhere on TV...yet :)

the ultimate club teams have little to no affiliation with the school and are therefore allowed to choose there own name, colors, mascots and anything else you can think of

Step up, planbskater1408. Every team in the world is started by someone! There are even starter kits available from the UPA - talk to your gym teacher and get the school to buy it. Talk to your local club players about coaching if you think you need it (and there are any available) most are very enthusiastic about developing junior players.
