  • Real talent

    Real music

    Real musicians

  • the zep was on top of there game and stayed there until gonzo died

  • The music just couldn't get any better since they stopped playing. That's why it keeps getting worse.

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome, nuf said!

  • unics

  • It's weird how Zeppelin sounded so incredible live in this tiny format, but IMO they are awful to listen to from concert footage.

They beasted this shit in front of about 200 people in a TV studio.

  • @bigstink9 all the really early material, ESPECIALLY this and the royal albert hall videos are amazing, as they went on jimmy and robert got a little worn out live. plants voice was wearing quickly and jimmy drank a lot more than he shouldve for live shows. it didnt help that he was already a sloppy player. take note though, that jpj and bonham were as good the day they got together as the day they broke up

  • @dartvader117 Agreed. But Bonham was dead. That's why they broke up. Cause and effect old chap. : )

  • my favourite Led Zep song.

  • This is from Danmarks Radio (Gladsaxe Teen Club, Gladsaxe, 1969.03.17) recorded about six months the band was formed and not even three month after release of their first album. The video was first came out as a Toasted bootleg just over 20 years ago. It was officially released by Atlantic Records as part of the 2003 collection simply labelled "Led Zeppelin DVD" -- an absolute must have for any Zeppelin fan.

  • 6 people are straight. the rest are gay for led zeppelin and Page's guitar fingering abilities

  • 6 people didn't turn up the volume enough.

  • it dont get no better.

  • greatest guitar soloing ive ever heard!!!! of all time!!!! in the history of all time!!!! of forever!!!!!

  • Its been said a million times before, but to have been a teenager at the time of Led zeppelin....it would have been something else. Although, to be truthful, ever since they arrived, it's always been the time of Led Zeppelin

  • "I'd like to introduce Led Zeppelin to you" and what a fucking way to do it!

  • that was EPIC

  • Hey by the way Zep is like four feet from you....man...

  • also i like th cloak, I kinda want one now

  • 6 people need to be punched by a guitar being wielded by me

  • that solo, as soon as i heard this i knew jimmy was number 1, zeppelin was goin all the way.

  • How do you play that lick at 1:43 ?

  • Imagine bonzo on energy drinks playing the drums....oh shit man

  • @nerad1994 he played the drums on harder stuff than energy drinks

  • @benjammin420420 lol you are right

  • At 4:15 John Paul Jones its awesome on the bass guitar.

  • The old days where Plant could rip those high notes :D

  • Wuz this on one of their albums?

  • @nosecone33 their very first album,,Led Zeppelin 1

  • @nosecone33 ... last song on Zep's first album

  • the crowd dosent know the sheer power of what they're witnessing

  • Best band ever

  • Anyone know what year this was?

  • A seed....that grew into a tree....whose wood was cut from it....to xreate jimmys telecaster....coated with paint....and used to play this damn epic song. What are the chances that seed would get to be part of jimmys performance....like yeah...

  • What a lucky guitar...

  • Oh! Led Zeppelin! oh! my band! steal away now, steal away! i have to do my homework :)

  • will rock music ever get this good again

  • OMG!! John Paul Jones is awesome!!! Just hear that bass it is just so f* sexy!

  • How good do theses guys sound, must have blown people away back in the day! Love it

  • "i'd like to introduce led zeppelin to you ..."

  • 7:45 YES! haha

  • this is one of d best performances ive ever seen!!! dam!!!! give me that Jimmy Page....plzz.i love him so much....

  • mah! mah! mah! mah! MAH! MAH! MAH!

  • @MitjaShi Isn't it nice? Sugar and spice? <3

  • lol, press 1911 button at right.

  • This is 1000 times better than anything today. I have black friends (black ppl from the ghetto) who like this. Thats how i know they are the greatest ever. Gods they are

  • I love Pages les paul tones, but that tele rocked. Is he playing Vox amps? AC 50s maybe?

  • @danrbfish rickebacker transonics here

  • I love Pages les paul tones, but that tele fucking rocked. Is he playing Vox amps? AC 50s maybe?

  • YES YES YES! WORTH A TIME MACHINE TRIP!!!

  • provate a superarli !!!!

  • A like button for this is not enough. There should be a fucking love button!

  • ahahah ROCK!

  • "Isn't it nice sugar and spice!"

  • Ole jimmy was really getting after it.

  • HOW MANY MOOOOORE TIMES!??? am i going to watch this vid over and over again

  • Page owns this solo!!!

  • I could not wear a sweater at a led zeppelin show.

  • 6:05

  • Confirmation that 6 people need new batteries for their hearing aids. :)

  • I actually feel sorry for many other bands because how do you follow this. Fuckin far out man! ... By the way who disliked this?

  • I actually feel sorry for many other bands because how do you follow this. Fuckin far out man!

  • it seems to me dat dey sampled howlin' wolf"s smokestack lightning pay attention to the beat except dat nice solo by jimmy p.

  • i love it at the beginning...Plant says to the crowd(lucky ass crowd) i'd like to introduce led zeppelin...thats awesome!!

  • The only time JPJ dressed well.

  • I wonder if that audience knew they were watching gods playing music

  • This is one of the most extraordinary songs I have ever heard in my fucking life

  • Is that the Telecaster Jeff Beck gave to Jimmy?

Really cannot believe there are 5 dislikes on the posting...

  • @Oilychan Yes that the one. Happy Birthday jimmy 1/9/2011

  • does page keep a wah pedal at middle range while playing or is that just some other effect?

  • bonham looks a bit like george harrison

  • Robert Plant is just a fucking 11 out of 10.

  • 1:57 Over, under, sideways, down. He inlcuded some of the licks he learned while in the yardbirds.

  • EVEN PLANTS LOOKING AT JIMMY LIKE....FUUUUCK!

  • I'd like to introduce Led Zeppelin to you

  • 7:05-7:35 . amazing

  • @MichaelSDeJesus From all of it to all of it is amazing.

  • That HAS to be the BEST Zeppelin video I have EVER seen!!!!!

  • Zeppelin as they began. Nothing else is like it on earth.

  • bonzo going fucking crazy love it

  • Jimmy would play the same chords either with a bow or with a guitar pick, so the same notes sounded different.

  • HMMT was the Zep show closer in America in the early tours in late 1968 and 1969...the first encore was Communication Breakdown.

  • THE LUCKIEST 100 PEOPELE EVER TO SEE LED ZEPPELIN

  • The best classic soft rock and roll ever done for a group like Led Zeppelin. Those kids in that concert did not have any idea how good they will in a few years to come.....!!!

  • Awesome and Raw! Zeppelin at their best!

  • ma quanto potevano godere ???

  • Judging from Page's guitar, this one one of their first performances.

Those kids in the audience had no idea what the hell was going on. It would be like if aliens landed and started telling us about laws of physics that we're a century away from discovering.

  • "ISN'T IT NICE, SUGAR & SPICE"

    lolwat

Other than that, this performance made me pregnant.

  • outta all there live shit, this has to be the rawest, most vulgar playing ever by this band, just fucking epic shit!

  • @birdyboom You should check out some of the bootlegs from the 68-69 era. Its by far there greatest.

  • @birdyboom i am a huge huge huge led head and this is the best of the best i dont think you can top this and i have heard everything and seen everthing i just want to know what these people thought when they saw this

  • Page's solo is epic..

  • epic telecaster

  • I have never seen Jimmy Page play like that before, fuckin incredible

  • the greatest band ever. research the new world order:)

  • 0:55 - 1:05 Damn, Jimmy can even make just TWO NOTES sound fantastic...

Bonzo is so freaking amazing, just the best drummer in my opinion!

  • @SpiirytStarrchild And he has yet to be introduced to the Ludwig set we all know him for. He's simply an awesome drummer.

  • @1howlinwolf True! Bonzo just needs a pair of drumsticks and he can rock everyone's face off! (Actually he doesn't even need those, like when he plays with his hands in Moby Dick!)

  • HAHA.....everyone in the audience is clearly in the process of having their faces blown off and are memorized by their first taste of the greatest band ever!

  • led lights on and flying away

  • No band intro. Jimmy plays smokestack lightning riff when he was introduced, was my favorite part of this version. they sounded so good here. Babe I'm gonna leave you is the best from this show.

  • Why so late into the song?

  • Never saw Jimmy rocking a Telecaster before. This must of been before Joe Walsh gave him his Les Paul (though I really don't know)! Going to the music store later to get a bow play on my own guitar!

  • I think i just ears just climaxed.... it was awesome

  • They sound as heavy as Lead Zeppelins crashing down, Look Out!

  • This song is the anthem of all rock music.

  • The greatest.

  • When i was 11, i saw this clip (from the very beginning when robert introduced the whole band) and it was the first time i'd seen or heard zeppelin, and it just blew my mind. Without Jimmy Page I'd never have picked up guitar, and I'd still be listening to top 40 pop bullshit. Now I'm 15 and in a band, and i have these guys to thank for whatever skill I may have.

  • i love how the crowd don't even know that they are practically ignoring the biggest band ever to have been created

  • Led Zeppelin set the new definition of "cool". Volumes have been said about Jimmy & Robert. I also love the way JP & John play off each other to set that rock-solid, driving beat.

  • @1mediaguy

fuck i put a thumbs down on you by accident bro, i ment to send that to the jackass that thinks radiohead is comparable to Zeppelin

  • I wonder if that's the Telecaster Jeff Beck gave to Jimmy years earlier.

  • @1howlinwolf It is. Jimmy initially put some silver circles on it, and then painted the dragon design himself. The guitar was unfortunately ruined when Page left it with a friend who decided to surprise him by repainting it; the guitar was unusable after that (I don't think Jimmy has entirely gotten over it yet). I think the last thing it was used on was the solo on "Stairway to Heaven"

  • MASTERPIECE !!!!

  • Is the crowd stoned out of their mind or what?

  • @HillbillyJ This is very early in Zeppelin's career. The crowd was probably in shock.

  • @HillbillyJ This is Denmark, where the population is rather subdued. That crowd there had no idea they were witnessing history in the making. I'm sure Jimmy knew, though.

  • this is when music was about the music and the craft. this band unlike the pop bubble gum corporate products like justin bieber and the jonas brothers are not sellouts. nowadays if not all qoute un qoute artists are sellouts or at least not all. there many musical people who i hope should still bring the same sense of musical urgency and taste like these four chaps did. what the fuck happen to music these days? long live what led zepplin did and there musical legacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! g4u

  • @BlakeandIzzyforeva radiohead is the only band that has the musical capability that led zeppelin had. thom yorke and jonny greenwood are the only people that i could ever put in the same sentence as plant and page as far as their impact on music is concerned.

  • @getupkid923 Yea right ur a nut radio head palease not even close to zep no matter how hard u or they wish they were. way more better bands than radiohead, Nirvana, Alice and chains, Fleetwood mac, the White Stripes, and prolly even audioslave

  • LONG LIVE HIP HOP!!!

  • "Isnt it nice? Sugar and spice!" lol

  • look at the crowd .they didnt realize what they were witnessing !!

  • THIS WAS A TREAT! WOW JIMMY PAGE SHREDS THAT LIKE NEVER BEFORE! LOL! AND BONHAM IS A DRUM GOD!

  • @youknowwhichone Yes, Bonham Beats The hell out of that kit. He didn't need 4000 drums to get his point across. This clip is awesome.

  • they played as if the four were one, is amazing!!!!!!!!

  • now that's what i call A PERFORMANCE

  • @ngancil

    Where is the beginning ?????

  • I salute the kid that threw the bottle at beaver that's a true rock n roller i put him up here with Zeppelin!!!!!

  • Wow Bonham is a fucking beast

  • Love Bonzo's little drum solo @ 7:48!!!!

  • @robertruizjr100 haha yeah rare to see them mess up like that...

  • @tombolo191 What!!?? you mean Bonzo's Awesome mini-Drum Solo wasn't suppose to happen?

  • at 7:36 is that bonhams bass drum?

  • @luvstospooge0 no. lol

  • @luvstospooge0

it sounded like John Paul Jones was manicly pressing the string of the bass near the pickup making that sound... I've done that before on mine haha

  • Comment removed

  • Zep @ their youngest Prime

  • at 28 seconds look at john bonhams face haha holy shit he looks evil!

  • i love bonham on 7.49

  • bonham is such a beast!!

  • they call me the hunter, for how I got my babe!!!!

  • the cream, deep purple, black sabbath... yes ok they are fine but LED ZEPPELIN KICK ASS!!!!!

  • Its interesting to see how Bonham takes all his cues from the one guy they hardly show - JPJ. And much of this number is dependent upon the steady bass line.

  • love 0:55-1:04

  • damn jimmy page was way ahead of his time 4 1968

  • i am posting a vid on this guitar tone.

  • lmao watch jonesy at 5:15 jamming out and dancing while bonham destroys.

  • the question is: who is fucking doing music like that today?? WHO IS FUCKING MAKING MUSIC LIKE THAT TODAY

    THATS JUST AWESOME

  • @fortress66

this is so powerful and great, its totally ridiculous

what a song and what a sound

  • @fortress66 There will be man...jus listen to led zepp , till there is

  • Sigh.... another wiki lecture.

  • @mjc455 lmao, so true!

  • @mbriandev Well, as a famous composer once said, Good composers borrow... Great composers steal. :)

  • @pkerdef8

where is the beginning of this song ?

  • @LegPains I think that the uploader might of cut it out because they introduce them all.

  • the full length Denmark performance of this song is 12 mins on kewego

  • in my opinion jimmy was atleast as good hendrix. they are both gods. after watching them both i realized they cant be compared.

  • Oh Rosie!!! Come with me baby my little Rosie Girl !!!!! Love it !!!

  • Wow.

  • its missing the beginning... lemme introduce led zeppelin to ya...

  • Glad we got to see the Danish production credits instead of Bonham. Oh well.

  • @jondavid666 Yeah it sucks doesn't it? The flippin cameras were there to record it, and some idiot decided the production credits would fit nicely over the awsome drumming. The end of the performance was the climax of it all, and we can't see it. Damnit.

  • so true god gave us music and rock n roll but some artists chose satans side but i know if i become famous god is the one for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rockerz4ever21 Im preety shure this is as close to god as it gets

  • Fucking hell-what a performance

  • i love john paul jones... and his pants

  • 7.48 mins, bonham goes back to the riff but the rest don't come in for another two bars, lol but still amazing

  • its good cause bonham isnt complete smashed so his fills are amazing

  • test

  • The ultimate

  • To try and put this into words would be an epic fail.

  • OMG Amazing! They were so young : ) and yet kicked major Ass

  • Love Bonham's fill at 0.26 :D:D:D:D:D

  • I love to jam this song with my bass playing friend...

  • robert started that joint on 7:10 - 7:35!!!

LEMON and ICE , Sugar and SPICE!!!!!

  • no he said isnt it nice sugar and spice dude
