  • @CLryeustngal Yes, but it may take a bit more flour. Just a note though...I don't use puff pastry dough to make croissants. The method is the same but usually I make a bread dough and then roll in the butter using the same method as I do here. I plan to post a video on croissants at a later date.

  • So I'm going to be using this puff pastry for Beef Wellington, to feel 4 people. Should I cut the pastry in half and use that portion, then freeze the rest? Or do I need this whole portion for the Wellington? It seems a little big to use it for the whole thing, so I'm thinking I have to cut it in half? This is all new to me, so I have no idea. THis took me all night to make! Wow! I hope it turns out like yours!

  • This puff pastry is more work than the method I was taught in England which although was quick and easy to make if you could not keep every thing cold (hands and room) the pastry would end up in the bin. No more shop bought puff pastry with this reliable method.

  • I fully used this recipe and it worked well...I made caramel filled turnovers. Nice fluffy and light how I wanted. I am serving tonight at a part so I hope the guests like. Time consuming and a lot of flour but easy recipe.

  • I am attempting this and I have one more roll out to do and I hope it turns out well. I did not need the full 7 oz because it became too stick and I added some more flour but so far it seems ok. Thanks you make it look so much easier.

  • I rolled it in to a rectangle but there were un even edges is that ok?

  • @cakedecorating404 It takes a little practice, so don't worry if it's not perfect at first :)

  • i made it and when i place the croissants in the oven, they drowned in butter!!! What did i do wrong?????

  • @abcarbajal2011 We don't usually make croissants from puff pastry. The method is the same, but we make a sweet bread yeast dough first and then roll in the butter. I will make a video on croissants in the new year :)

  • @mahnoor1985able1 I just left the butter on the counter top until it was soft enough to shape into the square slab. I wrapped it in plastic wrap, shaped it and then put it back in the fridge.

    It took me more than three weeks to find out a good recipe of puff pastry..That's how i got u. :)

    Every one is using pastry sheets.But sheets are not available in my place..

    Can i use this sheets for Patties ??

  • @RegRage1000 It's too flaky for a pie crust in my opinion, but it could be done :)

  • How long do u bake it for @ what temp?... Do you roll it into to a sqaure before baking or leave it into the rectangle? Thanks for sharing...-Angie

    If you watch my vids on Gateau St honore and Brie in puff pastry you will see a couple ways to use the puff pastry. It can also be rolled, cut and shaped in many other ways and filled with sweet or savory fillings. I plan to post a video on patty shells this weekend. Hope this helps! Take care! Candra :)

  • @roselynne77 It sure is :) This is one of those things that the store bought variety is just as good as homemade. I will quite often use the store bought, frozen puff pastry if I am pressed for time. Thanks very much for writing :)
