I love Anette. I love her to pieces. I think she is a fantastic person and I wish people didn't hate her so much. She doesn't deserve your harsh words. Tarja is never coming back, and it's been over half a decade. Get over it and move on. How many times do people have to hear this before it sinks in?
As someone who is a fan of Anette (although I prefered Tarja) it's difficult to have a fair opinion of Anette because the songs from Dark Passion Play were written with Tarja in mind. That being said I think Anette did a pretty good job stepping into some huge shoes. I'm curious to know what Imaginarium will sound like now that Nightwish has songs written specifically for Anette.
In my opinion they had to replace Tarja with someone who could actually sing with a soprano voice. Annette is a good singer but she doesn't fit in Nightwish's world

Though Anette may not quite sing like Tara on the older songs she still does a great job because she is completely devoted to the band and happy to be there. Her stunning performances on the new stuff puts her in the same vocal league as Tara.
i dunno about ya tarja nuts, but i actually MUCH prefer annette's voice on this song. hers is so much more suited to the metal style of DCOW. Not that Tarja was a bad singer, goodness no. Steve Harris is Maiden's boss, just like Tuomas on NW, but even with crowded concerts, Dickinson was missing, and same thing happens now ......
I've been a Nightwish fan since 2000 when they released Wishmaster album , since 2005, when Tarja left the band , I waited for the new line up and the new album.....I tried not to have a opinion based on my feelings as fan.....and after 3 years of the releasing of DPP, my opinion is the same.... why am I here? I respect her, actually the fans should respect her, because it is a Tuomas's decision, but , it's the same that happened with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and so many other metal bands .....when you have a lead singer who have so many followers, you will never replace him/her ............
Steve Harris is Maiden's boss, just like Tuomas on NW, but even with crowded concerts, Dickinson was missing, and same thing happens now ......

I've been a Nightwish fan since 2000 when they released Wishmaster album , since 2005, when Tarja left the band , I waited for the new line up and the new album.....I tried not to have a opinion based on my feelings as fan.....and after 3 years of the releasing of DPP, my opinion is the same.... why am I here? I tried and tried so many times to understand why Tuomas put this girl in the band ......I tried to like her.but I always have the same feeling : it sounds like a "record label" conspiracy

I like her.Tarja is gone so there is no reason to QQ about, she wont return.Also Anette is as good as Tarja but she has a different style, which doesn't makes her bad.

but you have also to respect those who can't or don't want to speak in english, with all due respect to their own language, because after all they have the right to speak in the language they choose buddy ;)

IMO The End Of An Era is better......Tarja and Annete are both good, just have different singing styles......it comes to down to personal choice, and so far, i prefer Tarja's singing. But ive only just discovered this band, so lets see if it stays like that.......Tuomas is cool no matter what hahahaha

Anette has a beautiful voice, and believe me, singing like that is NOT easy as you think.

Anette is a lot sexier and entertaining on stage than Tarja - no joke. Tarja is cool, but Anette is a better frontman. Or frontgirl for that matter. She doesn't fit this song as well as other Tarja ones, but it still works. She owns Sacrament of the Wilderness

It's always senseless to wish for the past. Anette has a great voice - a Rock-Voice, not an Opera-Voice. But yes; she's just another singer - stop compaing her! It's cruel to always compare her to Tarja. If Tarja was really that bitch as Nightwish described her, they'll better be off with Anette!
