@sll10 In general, I'll agree Ogdon was a very great pianist, but THIS recording?? You must be kidding, it's a mess! For one thing, I don't think anyone could play it this fast. He certainly didn't manage it here, anyway.
On one hand, this is terrible - a real mess with loss of control everywhere - and yet on the other, this is prodigious. This genius performer proves that sometimes a very imperfect reading of the score is more interesting than more sedate technical perfection.

@gtimny It's not a "mess". There are some inaccuracies in it but his greatness shows through and he could play it very well were he not medicated!
