  • nice helicopter, i like your Seaking videos ;)

  • @msbe2811 Thanx The Sea King, a regular visitor to our Airport. Being a town both ryt by the sea & vast moorland,we get regular SAR casualties being airlifted here so as they can be taken the last couple 100yds to our Hospital,as they are not permitted to land directly at the hospital. Our air ambulance the EC-135 is. I have also seen a Lynx there.Although there is enough space for a Sea King to touch down the reason they are not permitted is the immense downwash from the rotors when it lifts

  • @whitewingsrich ok i understand this. But why have the Royal Air Force the Sea King for SAR Operations?

I have seen in Germany two Westland Commando´s in green colors from the RAF, there are very nice too. ;)

(sorry for my bad english, i can understand it but no speak)

  • @msbe2811 They are not going to be for that much longer. It is scheduled that by 2016 the Search And Rescue (SAR) role will getting taken over from the Sea Kings by the Merlin (EH-101)

  • sehr geil 5*
