well,try to drop it from the table with open lid, drive it over with the car and poor some water to the cooler - which these days can be removed, by spreading heat into the laptop case. Cooler heats up it self + stops working one day and requires replacement. If strong metal is used, and mechanical structure is well engineered, it could be very strong + long lasting (depending on who is producing)
