If you lie down you will not drown in your own blood if your body is working correctly. Before drowning you'll cough the blood out. There are cases (for example alteration of counsciousness) in which your coughing reflex may be abolished... in such cases lying down is the worst thing you could do. Before lying down it would be recommendable the bleeding has been controlled.

You're never supposed to breathe in your nose or blow your nose lightly or any of that. That can irritate the bleed and make it worse. Just tilt your head down a bit, pinch under the nose bone, and breathe through your mouth.

dont ever lay down or tilt your head backwards while having a nosebleed. tilting causes you to swallow blood, which in turn makes you sick and possibly pass out. and dont lay down cuz it will clot in your nose and throat and you might never wake up.

when i was watching this video, i was having a nose bleed. i tride it, it did not work. if lay down, it is going to make it worse. you should tilt you head down and count to 10 while holding your nose. then, it should stop.

you aren't suppose to lay down or tilt your head back! because when you do, the blood goes back and you start swallowing your blood! and you shouldn't blow your nose because that just makes it keep on bleeding! but holding the bridge of the nose is right!

These aren't good tips. Don't lay down, don't tilt your head back either. Use pressure on the nose and don't blow. The idea is to get a clot so it will stop... not make it keep bleeding.
