  • Please be more steady with the camera. Vids give me slight motion sickness. :-(

  • I love these egg sacks. They look so cute soft and fluffy. :)

  • rob can i buy a couple of these slings from you?!?!?!?

  • My boyfriend has a pet tarantula and I have extreme arachnophobia... I'm watching your videos to try and get over the initial fear I have. Wish me luck.

  • wow your a really great handler and seem so passionate about what your doing! great channel, subbed!

  • siick video... it must take a lot of time and patience to get to that state... and not to mention the finished process!!

and did you make that incubator yourself??

  • ..... your workbench, are all those holes from drilling lids/Enclosures !!? aah

  • man, u must have made a kiling. Good stuff man

  • how big are they now ?!?!?! and how much you sellin for ?

  • Did you money in the tarantula because the tank 10 were ok then the tank was money and animals were too aswell it would be ok .

    without the words really

  • i take it you don't know any good places online to buy t's in the uk? great vid btw

  • Rob... Wat is the most docile ts 4 begginerz

  • my favourite vids are opening the sacs and the p. metallica ones so this one is like heaven 4 me haha!!!

  • Opening Egg sacks is like Christmas!!

  • It's so cut when you open the egg sac; like watching a child on Christmas morning

Lol. By the way what is the egg sac made of? It looks like a cotton ball. Does it

    come from the mother's spinnerets?

  • how much would you charge for a female

  • nice T's rob

  • @jesusnigjtlight Get did of the heatlamp, it will kill your T in no time. Heat the room instead.

  • Hey rob, i got a rose hair and a pink toe, where i live its cold and i have a heat lamp for them, should i leave it on 24/7 or turn it off at nights? my room is not freezing but chilly.

  • im a homophobe stop talking about sacs and opening them!

  • congratulations Rob im happy they are alive and well. i get shipped to fort hood texas in a couple weeks hopefully they give me the chance to have my own pets. un less of course i deploy which is very likely. Afghanistan here i come

  • Rob some of these days you will have a heart attack while opening a sac xD

  • dude what does molt mean?

  • @MrJP0522 same as shed but different ;) It's when they shed their old exoskeleton.

  • Haha that's awesome. I love the thumbs up

  • I did my rose based on your vid long story I want some

  • @Maniac221 Haha! If you think Rob is bringing in good money, you must be joking. With as much time, money and energy he's put into his T room, how much he's spent on his Ts and how much time he spends making videos and otherwise educating hobbyists to casual viewers, you must be kidding yourself.

  • dang that much snow were do you live? "no homo" ha

  • I call dibs on 2 of em...lol

No but seriously...I want to get like 2 of em... :-P

  • How often do you get bad sacs? I'm sure it varies based on species, but just a rough number.

  • nice one rob !:) iam goning to do my first breeding project soon with my rosie

  • congrats you lucky basterd ( sorry about your haters) some people have no clue/life

  • Awe bless them =D I'm new to the hobby and I hope to own one of these beautiful P.metallicas when I have had more experience over the next couple of years =)

I can't wait for my local Bug Fest, where I aim to get a B.smithi and a Chaco Golden Knee from sling or juvi ^^ Although that won't stop me from trying to convince my mum to part from her N.chromatus X)

  • Awesome man!

I know you put a lot of work into getting these results.

    Congratulations.

  • Even if people do breed just for the money(which Rob is not), who cares? As long as the T's are well taken care of then I dont see what the issue would be. And you know the T is gonna be well taken care of if someone pays $175 for it. If a T is worth $175 and people are lining up to pay $175, then you would be stupid to sell it for any less. And when all is said and done, it doesnt effect the T one bit...they have no clue how much they get sold for and they dont care.

  • i miss your videos rob. hope you come back soon.

  • I would love to have a P. Metallica but that is WAY out of my budget for spending right now. Awesome video and good luck!

  • By the way I had not read any of the previous reviews prior. I just keep up with your vids and info and those are some pretty spiders plain and simple. I want to buy some if your selling.

  • Rob are you selling these??? I'm in San Antonio Tx if you are selling I want to buy a few call me at 210-995-9953 plz leave a message if I do not pick up.

  • this guy doesnt do it for the money. he does it to get for the money he has a full time job. he does it to get the T in the hobby. so the prices well go down. This is a hobby for him. this is a hobby. why dont you guys go find someone else to bag on who breeds just for the money im sure theres alot of people out there who does it for the money. you know people do it because they love it.

  • @thesunsetreptiles

Sorry it was not my intension to claim that Rob would do this only for the money... I was just wondering why metallicas are still so expensive in America... Rob is a guiding light in our tarantula hobby and I hope that more tarantula keepers will breed these expensive specimen in the future because of the positive effects: 1 price-reduction and 2. less animals captured in the wild! Hey Rob congrats again for this positive outcome! Keep posting all these beautiful vids!

  • Hi Rob :)

    Congrats!!

As I told you - breeding this specimen is not that difficult! Just don't disturb the mother and everything is fine... But why are P. metallicas that expensive in the States? Here in Germany you get one of these beauties for 45 €...

  • Huge congrats!!! Awesome!

  • Congrats tarantulaguy1976 , all your hard work has paid off , plus you have now created a real name for yourself by breeding one of the rarest and challenging Ts in the hobby , enjoy your accomplishment! well done...

  • I think I'll call dibs one one of them. Be nice to have a gooty for once. Cross my fingers for a female. Im interested in subfusca's too.

  • I think I'll call dibs on one of them. It would be nice to have a gooty for once.

  • random offer for ya, would you be interested in a 4" G Pulchra? I really need to sell it and thought I would ask. Congrats on the sac! If i were brave enough for a Pokie I'd almost consider it!

  • @Maniac221 You are actually VERY wrong....I don't need extra money... this is not about the money, get your facts straight before posting.

  • @tarantulaguy1976 i am very interested in buying some slings . how much for the p metallica's

  • @tarantulaguy1976

I understand. I said yes, think only my opinion it is a pity that one is equal to soften, and is insulted by users. I also find it amazing that it worked with them since P.metallica are difficult to breed. So do not be angry with Rob for my comment

  • @Maniac221 your a fucking idiot . rob cares for his spiders more than anybody . it is never about the money with him . its about the experience and spreading the hobby to others . he is the 1 that got me hooked . stop commenting hater

  • @MrTarantulalover

You are the hater! this is not serious. I said just my opinion. And they start to like to offend. Just think about it. Where are your manners

  • @Maniac221 its not like a retail store. when your product has to eat and your products don't cost that much you don't make much money

  • @Maniac221 --your such an idiot.

  • @Maniac221 You make no sense????

  • @tarantulaguy1976 lol he doesn't

  • @Maniac221 --are you on drugs? lol

  • @Maniac221 wow, stfu retard, if you don't like the videos, don't fucking watch them...

  • @Maniac221 Ok, watch his other videos before you comment !!!

  • @Maniac221 How can this even be about money, can't you hear the "TARANTULAS MEAN THE WORLD TO ME" in his voice?

  • @renasance2 If it is a sling our a minute yes.

  • Would you recommend a Greenbottle Blue for a beginner? I've already kept a B.smithi and H.minax for 2 months now. I've kept scorpions for 2 years now but tarantulas are something else.

  • i I owe you a free OBT or 2 when i get a sack and im sure ill get one. free shipping!

  • There a waiting list on these yet? trying to talk the other half into one as a birthday present, lol.

  • Ok, im confused! Help me out guys - why do you have to open the sack again? Would it be a massive no go to let the babies hatch out with mom? Would she eat them or something? And what happend to those lil guys now? Do you kinda just raise them?? .. Im loving the vids btw Rob! Congrats! :) x

  • @Gemmaonyons Yes the mom may can & will eat the sack if she gets nervous, hungry, or for no apparent reason at all. Also mold can grow in the sack if conditions are not perfect, and if the mom doesnt roll it just right, the eggs may start sticking together. And trying to pull 100+ slings out an elaborate arboreal enclosure would be a nightmare, plus even arboreal slings tend to burrow so that would make it even more of a pain in the ass. Why even risk any of that with a $20,000 batch of slings..

  • i want one.

  • @Malzanar duh wat did you think I was using? Its weird actually, it let's me play a lot of videos it's just certain ones that it says unavailable too. Its funny really, cuz it's always the vids I wanna see most. I think my iPad is just being a dick.

  • Congrats Rob! Will any be available later on at your site? Or are they all spoken for? Would love to have this species.

  • i will say i raised 2 from half inch slings. one died of mysterious causes but the other is about 5 inches. i got them like 9 months ago. they grow at rocket speed. its mind boggling how fast those grow.

  • ey mate ncie to see ya new one up :D make another long feeding vid again those ones are funny xD and good to see ya doing good

  • lol rob you been quiet for a while good to see you postin videos again

  • whats that, like $9000 worth of T's?

  • @Raptiosaur Around $17,500 if only 100 live,,,if all live around $23,000+

  • @tarantulaguy1976 ---LOL, How do you go about paying taxes on that? lol.

  • @tarantulaguy1976 Man Rob, that's one expensive eggsac! You'll be rolling in dough soon enough! I know I would love a p.Metallica. I'll be looking out for the sales!

  • @tarantulaguy1976 Holy dogshit! 17 grand?! think its time for me to look into t breeding lol

  • @Jacksonkellyfreak you will loose probably 25% of that...

  • Congratz rob,

  • Congrats!! Your vids are the best Rob, have helped me out a lot. Truely valuable to the hobby and for knowledge. Good luck weathering the storm.

  • Hey rob congrats man. Uhhhhh how much r the babies going for???

  • Another quick question can you make play back available for the iPad since that is wat I am using

  • @TheGanster420 try using the youtube app thats pre-installed on the ipad. i can watch all his vids like that.

  • Love your videos, hav been watching and learning from them for sometime now I'm just a retard and didn't think to subscribe. Beautiful T as most gootys are but I hav a few quick questions to ask. First how much are you gonna sell these bad boys for after the proper instar? Second I recently picked up a avic from the Lexington reptile show and am wondering what is the best way to keep the heat up in the enclosure without a light? Jon3800 says to stay away from heat mats and you said lights putt

  • nice vid my youtube equaintence

  • YESS!! Great job Rob!!!

  • yaaaay! congrats man!

  • congrats man. Wish me luck on the P.cambridgei breeding.

it took alot of skill and knowledge to pull that off

I'm having trouble breeding tappies so there's no doubt in my mind pokie breeding is out of the question for me lol

  • haha everytime u open a sack up it soounds like ur hving an orgasm

  • @wellsieboy1212 thats what she said

  • Pre-order!

  • Congratulations!

  • Is that Gooty's sac?

  • Glad to see they are doing well. Good luck and cant wait for them to sell.

  • I can imagine you running back and forth every day to check on em... and waking up in the middle of the night to see if they've molted yet :D

  • Awesome very glad they are good and have a question how much are they going to be?

  • ROB PLZ GIVE ME A P.METALLICA FREE :D

  • @edge1andre ---lol

  • A successful p. metallica sac is probably one of the only times that breeding and selling tarantulas can possibly pay for itself and make a profit.

    Nice job :)

  • @hypnolobster pretty much every time is a profit for any species.

  • @TheJaxxxon I don't agree at all. I sell T's and unless my time is worth nothing, most of the time selling T's is for pennies of profit if not in the negative. There are some that profit is possible but not with most unless you are a big name seller who sells a huge amount on a regular basis. Those of us that really don't make anything do for the love of the hobby. Robc I would say is one of those and I certainly am. Although if I could make a living at it, I would in a heart beat.

  • congrats man!!!

  • Congrats Rob!!! Happy to see you back.

  • how far along is the miranda sac

  • yep as soon as they are ready for sale im picking up a pair

Also: Great to have you back! ;)

  • Awesome Rob! Congrats on that amazing clutch.

  • So glad to see you again! Still sending prayers though. But thanks for the video!

  • Congratulations man!!!

I'm excited just watching the video!

Your making big steps for the US hobby!

    Can't wait until I can get myself a P. metallica someday :D

  • I feel happy for you but I'm jealous at the same time xD will you sell some of these? also, what's in the big tank (or is it an aquarium?) in the background?

  • congrats so what happens to them now? what do they eat at that stage? or do they live of the egg sac for a while?

  • congrats rob !!!!

  • Good work man!

Question though: why do you always use these small boxes in the center of a larger container when it comes to eggs or slings? I get the black colour, to contrast with the beige of the eggs.. but why the box in the first place? Why not put them in the bottom of a smaller container, for example...

    thank you for sharing

  • @plithos It's a makeshift incubator. The black you see is just nylon stocking pulled over, and in the inside container there is some water to help with the humidity.

  • finally :)) good job rob i want to see at a p metallica sac in one year from you :))

  • congrats rob i bet ya well buzzin

  • Excellent rob thats awesome man.I can see how happy you are man.I saw the hands shaking.
