Do you want some realism in your crashes ? Make some break-apart track sections from some sacrificial turnouts and atlas snap track sections so everything falls apart when the train hits its mark. use some real dirt along the track with woodland scenics to cover up the dirt. Hyper detail the scene, with track ballast telephone poles and other right of way details. Just like Hollywood special effects wizards. Stage your model and ready your video recorder.
As an experiment, try leaving the tack out of the track and see if the train will derail because of the speed it got up to when it hit the tack. Or, you could loosen up some of the track and derail it that way. Remember to film it so we can see it! Nice job! Must have taken a while to clean up! :)
Would you rather him wreck with BRASS Models! You are not a true Model Railroader or railfan if you bash other peoples Model Train Equipment, SHAME ON YOU! Dumbass
yup guess if I put a PUSH PIN right on the fouling point of my track the train would DERAIL TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at 33 secs you can see the engine veer as it hits it......
Nice mate you have the same engine shed I do (the Walthers one). :D Nice wreck too...my old layout was so messed up that they weren't accidents at all...XP
yes i did have a small locomotive on the rear to get it going alittle, but gravity did most of the work, the lead unit was a dummy GP9 baltomore & ohio
i try doing that with a little amtrak switcher on my layout but it kept derailing so i took the switcher away and my long trains didnt derail :) next time try pushing with your hand
It wrecked like the real thing.
