Those Island hopping missions in WWII cost thousands of Marines casualties, 28,000 on Iwo Jima alone. The Army Liberated New Guinea and the Philipenes with just 33,000 casualties. And who saved whos but in Fallujah? The Army saved the Marines....just because someone is a Marine doesn't mean he/she is the best

Marines arent anything special but they are part of the military. I've found that it's not about the branch of service that makes them special it is their mindset about their task at hand. I do believe the Marine Corps pushes their recruits the hardest, but after 4+ yrs, recruit training is gone and it is only the mindset of the individual. I used to enjoy putting a piss and vinegar back from basic or ait into the dust. It's not about anything other than dedication.
