  • I know that God lives and The Church is reall !!! The Book of Mormon is the Word of God,Joseph Smith is a Prophet, also The Prophet we have today -Thomas S Monson is The Holly Man of Heavenly Father and we can return safe back to Him by performing the work in His Holly Temples.I testify of the reallnes of this.Amen,

  • I know this church is true, I cannot deny it. There is so much i've learned from being in it that i've had chance to see the works and blessings of God shown forth in the church. I have felt the holy spirit in my life from being a part of it , and that is why I will always be a part of it. :) I hope others can realize this for themselves and just have faith.

  • I know this is the true church I dont think nor hesitate I truely know it I know that the book of mormon is true as well I know that the prophets are really called on this earth of heavenly father as well thank you and this is my testimony .Amen.

  • I'm so glad my friend invited me to church and to meet with the missionaries. I will never forget when they told me this story. I know it is true. Christ lives. God lives. Joseph was His chosen prophet, just as Moses, Noah, Abraham, and others were chosen to do their work. The Book of Mormon is God's word. We have a prophet today, even Thomas S. Monson. Pray and know it more fully. Above all, I know that I am a child of God. There is no greater truth.

  • Thank you for your testimony. I, too, know God lives and that Jesus is my Savior. He chose Joseph Smith to restore His Gospel.

  • I love this church and its great work. There's no telling where I would be without it. :)

  • I will add my testimony to this comment section. I have no doubt whatsoever and know as surly as I know that the sun will rise in the morning that Joseph Smith had the first Vision. I know this not of myself but received a divine witness of this fact. I cant tell you what to believe. I can only tell you what I now and how I came to know it. If you ask in faith with real intent you can know for your self that it is true too.

  • And he gave some apostles and some, prophets...for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry...Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God...

    Ephesians 4:11-14

  • The Catholic Church is not a denomination, but the original Holy Mother Church from which all others "denominated." How blessed are those who never left or diverted from her unbroken tradition!

  • [second]there creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. He again forbade me to join with any of them; So he avoided all churches even the Catholic!

  • I'm proud to be a latter day Saint.

I know through the Holy Ghost that the gospel is true.

  • So am I! It's the only religion that answers all the important questions. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. Anyone can have this same knowledge and be truly happy, if they want to.

  • @zuki2536 completely true.. I love this church for that reason :)

  • @Davidfourfour me too :)

  • well i cant knock it...its about as spectacular as any other religion..if it gives people faith..or motivation regardless of how absurd then i guess its doing its job

  • I challenge you (in a positive way) to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and the living Prophets and Apostles of our day. No number of scripture passages will ever prove or disprove the God's true church on earth. Only through faith, prayer, and fasting may one know the mysteries of God. Can you imagine how those of Jerusalem felt when Jesus came to them and told them who he was?! They thought he was nuts, arrogant, etc. Pray and ask God to enlighten your mind, you WILL find truth here.

  • Wow. A boy has neurons misfiring in his brain, coupled with issues of rebellion and confusion... Let's make a religion out of it!!

Religions just keep getting crazier and crazier...

  • "Neurons misfiring"? "Issues of rebellion"?

It sounds like you know very little about Joseph Smith.

  • You want to hear something interesting? A while ago I went and visited some family in Alabama and there were some Baptists that were in front of an LDS church with posters that said "Don't pray and ask if the Book of Mormon is true, that's how they convert you!"

    True story.

  • That's hilarious.

  • Unreal! Love it.

  • @Stepy2165

Why did they not want people to pray? If they were truly confident that the book of mormon is false then they should not be scared that people will recieve the answer through prayer that it is true! They ask people not to pray, as because that is what will happen!!

  • now that's called ignorance...

  • and arrogance...

  • Not rebellion, but clear and divine direction. Are you yourself not confused or ask why there are so many religions today? If all believe something different, they cannot all be true, that's contradiction in it's fullest. God has His church on earth today. He is extending His hand to those to earnestly seek Him. If you are always looking for fault, you will NEVER find truth.

  • completely and totally uncalled for...who gave you the authority to judge another soul and condemn them ....very disheartening if you ask me, may you need to seek divine wisdom and ask for guidance.

  • @Pheauxr20 oh STOP it. You don't mean that!

  • The descendants of the Prophet Joseph Smith and his wife Emma are slowly returning to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • I am a convert, I live in N.Ireland Belfast Stake and I testify that "There is no soul on this earth who cannot know that Jesus Christ's church has been restored upon this Earth in thease modern days " if only he/she would read James1 v 5 and pray asking the lord if his church has been restored upon this earth and that Joeseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

  • Thank you!

  • Wondering which of the many churches to join, Joseph had followed the counsel in the Bible's book of James: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God."

  • There seems to be some confusion on the the part of some who comment here. I would like to try to explain. How often through out the bible did Heavenly Father allow something to come to pass that might hurt the church? Jerusalem was destroyed, prophets were killed, all of the apostles blood was shed. Christ established his church of ancient through prophets and apostles. Why would God allow those things to come to pass? Furthermore, through the council of nicene the bible was edited and books

  • I join with the thousands of Mormon youtubers with the Joy that comes from sticking up for what is right.

Mormons know without a shadow of a doubt that Gods kingdom has been restored and that living the Gospel brings the greatest happiness obtainable in this life.

Great things are going to happen in the next 20 years, It's almost a dream to be a part of them.

May God give the brave Youtube Mormons a inspired 2009.

  • kitarocloud. - The Gospel is where true happiness lies. I'm glad that thru missionaries your prayers were answered. Proves that he answered Joseph Smith's Prayer (First Vision) and CONTINUES to answer prayers today for he is the same yesterday, today & FOREVER.

& What a Glorious Morning this was for the world has never been the same since!!!!!

  • I have come to know for myself through the power of the Holy Ghost, that Joseph Smith really saw God the Father and the Son Jesus Christ, and that all that he said was and is true. I did not believe at first, but it was not until I prayed sincerely, really wanting to know that my Fatehr in Heaven made it know to my in my heart. It is true and I cannot deny the testimony that I got from God in my heart that these things are really true. Pray to really know, and when you know, act accordingly.

  • which first vision is this one showing? If I remeber right there were 8 different versions.

  • Have you actually read the different "versions"? Of course there are different versions--do you expect that Joseph Smith would have memorized it and said it identical to every person he met and that those people would have recorded it perfectly as he said it?

Of course not. He shared the experience uniquely with different people and they recorded what they remembered and/or what stood out to them.

  • I have. Have you?

If he didn't remember how exactly it happened, how can you put stock in anything he said? If the FV is so important, why would God permit the scribes to recrod it incorrectly? To cast doubt of the different versions is to do the same on everything the church has ever recorded.

  • "why would God permit the scribes to record it incorrectly?"

First, to say "scribes" makes it sound as if these were all written through a formal process. They weren't, these were often journal entries.

Second, why does God allow anything "bad" to happen? Because agency is the central part of His plan. If He were to interject Himself to prevent any error in word or action, how could we ever learn?

  • My response to both of yours is that if God were restoring the church, he wouldn't let any errors exist at all. Agency plays no part because if he's in charge of the church, he wouldn't let this happen in the first place, requiring later correction.

  • exactly. Would you teach a concept of something the same to a child as you would an adult? Or would you teach the same concept to someone from one culture and understanding as you would one with differences? No. Joseph understood that. That's why there are different "versions." They are just different teachings, but they all teach the same ONE vision.

  • L.D.S 4 Life

  • wat on earth i am here for?wts my purpose?wat should i do?then i said to god.god please help me to find the true happiness.then after many years god answered my prays through sending missionaries in our home they teach mine about the restoration of gospel an the plan of salvation then i accept the gospel spiritually coz i believe that the gospel s true

everytime i go to church, when i was a catholic.i ask god,wat on earth i am here for?wts my purpose?wat should i do?then i said to god.god please help me to find the true happiness.then after many years i thought god neglect my prayers coz until that time i didnt receive the answer of my prayers

  • gud day brothers & sister atfirst i thought that my life was end like this to be a lonely person, then everytime i go to church when i was a catholic,i always pray to god that god help me to find the true happiness..in many times i prayed i thought god neglect my prays or ignored..but even though my prayers have not yet answered i have been always continuing to pray coz i believe that theres a god...theres a god!! i know that the time will come but i dont knw when it comes?then after 3 or 4 years

  • Thank you for posting this video. I cry when i watch this video. God bless Brother Joseph

  • this is very true and i like this video.....ur a true hero for posting this video on youtube.......

  • its true my beloved brothers and sisters :)

  • it puzzles me howJoseph saw the father when scripture says otherwise.

oh and how do you explain 1 Galatations 8?

  • One of my favorite scriptures, I am glad you shared it. It is our belief that we are cherishing and teaching the TRUE RESTORED gospel of Jesus Christ. Not a version, not a claim of knowing more than others, but the actual gospel of Christ. Christ established His church through prophets and apostles who had different keys, baptism, revelation, adding to scripture. We know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holds those same keys and is the restored gospel.

  • Wow I thought South Park was making all that stuff up about mormons. people actually belive this shit? Damn Im in the wrong business

  • As with all South Park episodes, there are grains of truth. Most everything else in that episode is heavily distorted--otherwise it wouldn't be funny.

    Do you believe in God?

  • Do you?? Look up the church history b4 posting video's

  • I have studied LDS Church history for years and feel like I understand it well.

It's often those outside of our faith who know only random facts that try to make videos which have little basis on fact.

  • your lack of a believe or respect for other's beliefs constitutes a belief ... you are free to ride the fence all your days if you choose ... I dare you to try the fruits of the restored gospel ... give it a decade

  • This is hilarious. They should make this into a comedy and have Ryan Reynolds play JS.

  • Yeah, there's that "faith and logic" shining through...

  • yeah, you're right. It's hilarious enough watching this right here and knowing that people actually believe it.

  • Millions do, millions more will. Why? Because they pray to ask God if it is true and He answers through His Spirit.

  • No, because the book of mormon was written via means of a peep stone and a hat.

Tell me again how the Indians were a tribe of Israel. Oh snap, that's right! It's been debunked already.

  • No, the Book of Mormon was translated through the gift and power of God. If that includes a seer stone under God's instruction, who am I (or you) to question God? I'm just curious--have you ever translated any ancient documents from an ancient civilization with a language you didn't know? Probably not, so who are you to question God's methods.

Debunked? Haha. I suggest you start getting information other than from Youtube.

  • Does anyone have the transcripts of these stories? Could anyone type them up for me? Where can I see the whole video for free?

  • ask mormon missionarys or any mormon people you know.

The missionarys will give you "The Restoration" which is the full movie to this video.

    Its an awesome film!

If you would like to know more take the discussions and attend our Sunday meetings.

  • i love this church!

  • So Joseph Smith saw the Father?

  • Yes, and the Son.

  • 1 Timothy 6:16-17

-Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.- This proves that Joseph was a liar. I'm sorry....

  • Not sure the relevance here.

  • And yet Adam saw the father when he gave him and eve coats of skin. Moses saw the father. Most importantly, our Father in heaven is incapable of lying. I hope we can all agree on that notion. So, what would it hurt to do as Joseph did and with every intention of following the still small voice that comes to you, or the feeling that wells up in your heart ask if the things you saw in this video are true. Your Father in Heaven loves you enough to send the Holy Ghost to testify of their truths.

  • This pretty much sums up the confusion on what was written in Revelations. Any Bible scholar should know this, but I will post it anyway.

Howard W. Hunter, "No Man Shall Add to or Take Away," Ensign, May 1981, 64

  • The Bible is true.

  • Yes, it is true.

  • I accept the King James Version of the Holy Bible alone.

  • We also use the King James Version of the Bible.

  • but why that version?

  • Why not that version? Joseph gave multiple accounts of the first vision throughout his life to various audiences, in which he highlighted different details or perspectives on the vision. However, this version is the most specific and clear on some of the more substantial details.

  • That was his first prayer. Nonsense! He goes against Revelations 22:18-19 and the rest of the Bible. Prove me wrong!

  • "The book of Revelation was written prior to some of the other biblical books, and prior the Bible being assembled into a collection of texts. Therefore, this verse can only apply to the Book of Revelation, and not the Bible as a whole (some of which was unwritten and none of which was yet assembled together into 'the Bible')." --FAIR

    Check out Deuteronomy 4:2

  • That's exactly what I checked out. sometimes though there are mistakes in Catholic history to give need for more scripture. The Church also goes along with this thinking that's the case. But a careful study of huge amount of evidence shows that Revelation was the last book of the Bible.

  • Jeff Lindsay said: "Read the text carefully of Revelation 22:18-19 and ponder what John is talking about. At the time, there was no Bible as we know it. The new Christians had the Septuagint (which included the Apocrypha) and scattered writings of some of the apostles, but there had not yet been any known attempt to establish a New Testament canon or to bring the Gospels and epistles into a single volume.

  • John, who was in exile on the Isle of Patmos, is obviously referring to the newly written text before him when he speaks of "this book," the Book of Revelation. Even though the Book of Revelation has been placed last in our Bible, it was not necessarily the last book written, but may have preceded other writings of John himself by a couple of years. In fact, many Christian canons over the centuries did not include the Book of Revelation at all, and even Martin Luther questioned its status.

  • The first church council that listed most of the canonical books in our present Old and New Testaments, the Council of Laodicea that met in A.D. 363, still did not include the Apocalypse of Saint John [Bernstein, p.5]. The common idea that this was the last book added to an existing canon of New Testament scripture by John is erroneous, as is the idea that John meant that there could never be any more scripture.

  • Christians know that, but refuse to believe that because it's not completely true. We know that the Whole Bible is the Word of God in the original languages. We refuse to accept more scripture against the teachings of the Bible.

  • timothy 4 : 3

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

  • I feel like there is a part of his life was missing in the video.. How did people accept that and how many believed, and how did he get to publish his book, and did he has his own church then?.. are there any more movies of him?

  • You're right that this is just a short film about his life. There are definitely more videos about him. Click on my name and see the Playlist entitled "Joseph Smith". You will see a movie that has 7 parts to it which shows the different periods of his life.

Also visit mormon[dot]org for more information. His book was published and is known as the Book of Mormon, the 8th most printed book of all time. The church is known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  • If you go to one of our churches you can get a book of mormon and read the Joseph SMith history its really cool. It holds all the info you will need.

  • This video is so powerful it reduces me to tears, Joseph Smith was a prophet and died for that cause.

  • The Gospel is so true! Joseph was and is a prophet of God

  • :03 seconds of this clip is the best part, except for of course Joseph's confirmation that Dio Padre Eterno and Gesu Cristo (now you all know a little Italian!) are real.

  • such a wounderful video....

  • Thanks for posting! This is a very powerful video that explains how Joseph Smith Jr. became the prophet of the restoration.

  • Thanks for posting this. Great.

  • You're welcome. It's one of my favorites.
