This may be a stupid question, but why is nobody else doing this show? was it only for those few months in 2006? Because plays like Phantom of the Opera is played all over the world by different casts. Why not this one? Is is a copyright issue? It'd be a bigger hit if more people could see it.

well, I like it. I have never seen it live, and have had to rely on youtube. But i like it both ways in all the clips i have seen. I love the book, and the movie, but i also like the musical. They are all different but i still like them all. At least people realized it should be made into a musical.

I really can't stand this song. Even though it's beautiful, and Allison Fischer does an amazing job, it's just so OOC from how Claudia really felt in the books. Claudia didn't give a damn about any of that stuff, she was just angry that she would look like a child forever and thus always be dependent on someone else.

I understand that for time's sake some things had to be cut/changed, but this really annoys me. =/

Yes, but it says "I fucking hate being a child because I'll never be human" which isn't true. Claudia only hated being a child because she had to remain dependent on others.

I dont think Claudia just wanted to be self dependant

She wanted to been seen and heard and shown the respect of her actual age.Not to be condecended to. Although she herself says she has no human nature she still holds mortal facinations and desires for the things she never got to have. I think thats why she masqurades as a midget in the books so she gets treated as an adult aswell as the facination she takes to families. suggesting she might have liked a family herself. sorry for the rant :P

It is sadly ironic that Claudia sings about these 'very best' things which come from France. She grew to hate Lestat, even though he honestly never meant to harm her with the Dark Gift.

I don't think so. You keep saying you think the New York version was better and you've yet to provide a valid reason. There was only a month difference between shows. That's not enough time for an actor to 'grow.'

I agree with you on many things and I'm sorry that my "reasons" aren't "valid" enough for you. I DO like both versions (SF more, and I'm sure you're happy about that). All I'm saying is that as an actor, if you have more opportunities to perfect/experiment with a character it's natural (with good direction) to grow in technique, experience, and performance.If you are doing it 7 or 8 days a week in one month it is inevitable.
