Yes, it's trying to lure a bird. GTPs are arboreal (they live in trees in the wild) and their tails are designed to look like worms. When they grow up they are usually green to match their surroundings, so birds can only see their tails wiggling. When a bird swoops down to get the "worm" the snake will strike and eat it. It's a genius plan! Evolution at it's best!

i don't know if this is weird or not, but for some reason i find baby green tree pythons cute, and i'm a dude lol but in general all snakes are beautiful to me but it's just something about baby gtps that i find adorable lol they're like the cutest little things i've ever seen.
